Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 874
Simon put the phone near his ear, walked to the window, and picked it up. "Hello, Tina, what's the matter?"
"Are you in touch with Emily?" Tina asked him.
"Emily?" Simon frowned and asked nervously, "What's wrong with her?"
Tina kept silent for a while and then explained, "In fact, I'm not sure if anything has happened to her, but I can't get in touch with her now. She hasn't answered any of my calls. Is there anything that happened to her?"
Simon's throat tightened as he asked, "What did you say?!"
"We went out to interview in the morning and had been to two nursing homes. When we finished interviewing, it was about one o'clock in the afternoon. Then we had to go to the north of the river. I was afraid that she would be tired, so I let her go back to the TV station first!" Tina continued, but her tone was obviously a little flustered. "I just finished the work and came back, but I found that she was not here. I asked my colleagues and was told that she didn't come back at all..."
"It's been four hours since we separated. What's to be done? Is it possible that she felt uncomfortable and has gone home directly?" On the other end of the line, Tina kept talking in a panicky voice.
In a second, Simon's eyelids jumped violently three
times!
He said to Tina, "I'll drive back now!"
Four hours...
Simon looked out of the window and saw that it was dark already. This scene made his heart burn with anxiety.
After hanging up the phone, he briefly told the head nurse what they should do next and then strode away.
The black Cayenne skidded as Simon jammed on the brakes before the building. Then, he jumped off the car from the driver's seat and slammed the door shut. In big strides, he walked up the stairs, pushed open the gate, and went straight to the elevator.
He took out the key and turned it. Click-clack! Clickclack! Simon was suddenly flustered.
He could turn the key for two circles, which indicated that the security door was still doublelocked and had not been opened yet...
Simon opened the security door and saw their slippers on the floor, which were still at the same place as they left home in the morning.
If she did not come back...
Simon did not dare to imagine what would happen to her. Countless thoughts flashed through his mind, like flames darting around in all directions.
Was it that she was not feeling well, or anything even worse had happened to her...
Not long after Simon stepped into the house, Tina and Wilson also arrived in a hurry. Tina was worried about Emily's safety, so she asked Wilson to drive here when he came to take her home. When they saw that he was alone in the house, they suddenly had a bad feeling.
"Isn't Emily at home?"
Simon shook his head, and his eyes narrowed. "No, there's no one at home!"
"How could this be? Then where could she go?" After Tina heard this, she was very anxious. "Did you call her? Is there still no one to pick up the phone?"
"No!" Simon said with a gloomy face.
In the hospital, he hung up Tina's phone and hurried back. On his way home, he kept calling Emilly, but no one answered. When he just came back to the community, he also asked Mr. Weil if he had seen her. However, he shook his head blankly, saying that he had not seen her come back since they left in the morning...
Tina did not want to give up. She took out her cell phone and dialed again.
The phone never stopped ringing, but still, no one picked up the call. "Sorry, the subscriber you call cannot be connected now. Please call later." There came the mechanical female voice. Tina had to put down her phone and stop calling.
Simon gritted his teeth in silence and punched violently on the sofa arm.
He wanted to hope for the best. Maybe she just went to some recreation place to have fun and did not want to go home. However, in that case, she would not answer so many calls from them. Yes, she might not answer his call if she was in a bad mood, but she would pick up Tina's call at least...
Besides, she planned to go back to the TV station after the interview. If she did not go back, she should have informed her colleagues of her whereabouts!
All of this indicated that something unusual was happening.
Now, after they had lost contact with her for a long time, Simon was sure that she was missing. Thus, he had asked the people he knew in each hospital of this city if Emily was sent there. However, she was not in none of the hospitals.
Simon tightened his grip and took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Wilson, have you managed to contact our big brother?"
Wilson, who was calling someone, shook his head and said with a frown, "Not yet. He should have gone on a task. You know, some actual fighting maneuvers, most of which are located in remote mountains and forests. There is no signal on the mobile phone, so they only connect each other by radio!"
When Simon heard this, blue veins stood out on the back of his hand.
When Emily was about to sell her kidney in an underground market in the town, he found out her accurate position and arrived in time. But it was all because of the help of Adam, who could use the military equipment to locate her.
"We have to call the police, don't we?" Tina got into a panic.
"Usually, the police will build a case and go to search for a missing person only after he or she is missing for more than 24 hours!" Wilson shook his head. Seeing that Simon's face became more and more serious, he could not help comforting him. "But I have already informed the Public Security Bureau. They have begun to investigate it. I believe there will be results soon!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Wilson's mobile phone rang. As he answered the phone, he looked happy at first but then turned a little serious. After finishing the call, he slowly said, "They located the phone!"
Simon suddenly took a big step forward.
However, Wilson paused for a while and continued in a solemn tone. "However, they said that there was only her phone, which was thrown in the grass of North Street and picked up by a child. Since there is no camera near the street, they don't know what had happened there!"
"North Street?" Tina could not help shouting in a low voice and asked in shock, "How could it be so far away? How could she take a totally different direction? She was supposed to go back to the TV station!" Her words made everyone's heart sink.
If that was the case, it meant that something had really happened to Emily...
"The police will continue to investigate until they replace her!" Wilson said seriously.
At this moment, Simon's phone rang.
However, it was not a phone call but a text message that came in.
He was not in the mood to answer the phone and wanted to ignore it. However, from the corner of his eye, he accidentally caught something, so he picked his phone to check.
It was a short message from an unknown number. When Simon saw the simple sentence, his pupils narrowed sharply. With each word piercing into his dark eyes, he gradually clenched his fist so tight as if it were going to crush the phone.
When seeing his anxious reaction, all the others were looking toward him anxiously.
"Simon?" Wilson asked.
On the back of his hand, the blue veins nearly popped out. Simon said, with anger brewing in his charming eyes. "You don't have to investigate anymore. I know where she is now!"
I took Mrs. Chin away. Sean.
This was the short message that Simon received.
