Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 884

After Anthea finished speaking, she observed her expression while glancing at the phone on the table. "Emily, why don't you call him to ask?"

"Anthea," Emily said, slowly raising her head.

Seeing Emily pouting, Anthea quickly changed the subject. "Drink some soup. Let's drink the soup!"

In fact, Anthea was Emily's close friend, and they grew up together. So she was naturally on her side. But Simon came here with different soups every day. After handing her these things, he would stand downstairs and look up with affection. Anthea did not have the heart to see him being refused over and over again.

Emily did not call him, but her phone rang.

After glancing at the screen, she put down the soup bowl and picked it up. "Hello, chief editor?"

"What did you say?"

Emily's eyes suddenly widened. She even agitatedly stood up from the chair, strode to the window, and asked while clasping her phone, "I've gotten the transfer order, but why don't you let me go now? Didn't you agree with me that day?"

"Yes, I agreed!" On the phone, the chief editor explained to her. "But the transfer order should be issued only when both our employees and their family members agree. However, your family member disagreed, so I cannot send you there..."

Her family member...

Emily's chest slightly rose and fell as she clutched her phone tightly.

Looking out of the window at the setting sun on the horizon, she dialed a number again. The word "Simon" was shown on the screen. After getting through, she asked directly, "Where are you?"

After hanging up the phone, she turned around and quickly walked to the vestibule. She changed her shoes and took a coat.

Half an hour later, a taxi slowly drove into the Riverside Court and stopped in front of a high-rise building at a constant speed. After getting off the taxi, Emily looked at the black Cayenne in front of the flower bed and walked into the building.

"Ding!"

The elevator door opened slowly, and Emily took a deep breath and walked out.

Subconsciously, she reached to her pocket. Suddenly, she remembered that the key was lost when she fell into the river that day.

She raised her hand and was about to knock on the anti-theft door. To her surprise, it was pushed open from the inside as if Simon was waiting for her the whole time. Simon's tall and straight figure stood aside, and he said, "Come in!"

Emily walked right in.

As soon as she came out of the vestibule, Simon handed her a glass of water.

Looking at the warm water with some stream rising, Emily slightly clenched her drooping hands but did not take it in the end. Instead, she looked away and said, "No, thank you. I'm not thirsty!" Hearing this, Simon could only put the cup on the cabinet next to her.

Emily did not forget her purpose of coming here, so she went straight to the point. "Simon, you did it, didn't you? You called the chief editor and said that you disagreed!"

The only family member who would do this was him!

"Yes!" Simon did not deny it.

"You did it on purpose!" Emily narrowed her eyes.

"Yes, I did it on purpose!" Simon admitted it. There was anger in his amorous eyes with affection. "I told you that you were not allowed to go!"

He deliberately prevented her from leaving. Meanwhile, he was up to something else.

If he hadn't done this, she wouldn't have taken the initiative to contact him, let alone come back here, their previous home...

"What gives you the right to do this? Simon, I've already told you, and I'm not joking. We're going to go our separate ways!" Seeing that he admitted it, Emily became a little angry. But soon, she calmed down and told him coldly, "Even if you called the chief editor, it wouldn't change anything. No matter what you've done to stop me, I'll leave! If I cannot get the transfer, I can resign!"

After saying that, she walked past him without casting a glance at him and went to the bedroom inside.

She opened the wardrobe by the window, and there was a suitcase at its bottom. After opening it, Emily silently put her clothes and things into it one by one.

She rushed back, not only because she wanted to criticize him but also because she wanted to pack up her things. To get rid of him, she went directly to Anthea's apartment after she left the hospital. If she wanted to leave forever, she had to come back and get berthings.

The sound of Simon's footsteps followed her closely. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tall and straight figure stood at the door. However, she continued packing without uttering a word.

Simon's Adam's apple rolled up and down, and she said, "Addy took the morning flight and left today."

"..." Emily remained silent.

Simon gazed at her with his pretty eyes. "She has already returned to Newley City. Do you still want to leave?"

The kidnapping case made by Sean hastened their divorce case. As soon as Addy got the divorce certificate, she directly booked an air ticket to leave without staying any longer. She sent him a text message when boarding in the morning.

Emily's hands stopped there for only two seconds, and then she continued to pack. With her head down, she said, "Emm."

She locked the suitcase and was ready to carry it out. Even though Simon was at the door to stop her, she did not care much about it. But when she just moved, she caught a glimpse of something by accident, which made her stop abruptly.

On the bedside table before her, there was something in soft colors.

There was a pink scarf, a pair of little yellow baby socks, a small hat, a pair of gloves, and other things. They were neatly stacked up there. She made all of them, stitch by stitch.

Emily reached out and picked up the hat on the top, on which there were two lively ears of the rabbit.

Suddenly, a shadow enveloped her from behind.

Simon suddenly hugged her from behind. His two large hands held hers that grabbed the two rabbit ears.

Emily frowned, trying to pull away from him. However, she accidentally touched the deep wound on the middle finger of his left hand. She could not help but think of Anthea's words. When she entered the door, he handed her the cup of water with his left hand. But only until now did she see the wound.

It was this two-second of hesitation that allowed him to hug her even tighter. His entire strong chest wrapped around her tightly.

Emily could feel his breathing slightly quicken, and his hot breathing had moistened her earlobes.

"Emily, don't go!"

Simon slowly buried his handsome face in her neck, which was the intimate posture that they often did on the bed before.

Slowly, he cradled her thin body in his arms, greedily smelling the scent of her. It was just more than ten days after they separated, but he missed him so much. He said, "Do you remember that I taught you how to make the rabbit ears? We can keep these little socks and gloves, and we can even make more in the future! Emily, we are still very young, and we can have another baby..."
