Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 902
Simon took a glance at her face. "Is it convenient for you?"
"Yes. It just happens that there's an empty seat in the car. If you don't mind, you can go with us!" Calvin smiled heartily.
As a soldier, serving the people was almost his ingrained consciousness. In this case, he should help his compatriot. He regarded it as his duty.
Simon said, "Then I'm sorry to trouble you."
Calvin said, "Never mind!"
Finally, the four left in the jeep.
Calvin drove the car, and Emily sat next to him. Misha, his friend and Simon sat in the back.
They were silent all the way and pop songs came from the car player.
People in the back seats were quieter. That friend had already put his arms around his shoulders and fell asleep. Misha was playing with her mobile phone. Occasionally, she glanced at Simon, and then secretly looked away.
Emily looked at the highway ahead as if it had no end.
"Are you sleepy?"
Calvin turned his head to look at her and asked with concern.
"No!" Emily shook her head and looked at him. The car had been driving for three hours on the road. She took the chance to ask, "How about you? Are you tired of driving?"
Calvin said in a gentle voice, "I'm not tired!"
After glancing at the straight road in front of the car, he stared at her face and said in a gentle tone, "I don't feel tired with you around!"
Calvin rarely said the words of love, especially on such an occasion. Emily licked her lips and was somewhat at a loss.
Suddenly, a muffled sound came from behind. "Can I smoke?"
Calvin looked at her and saw that she didn't mind it. Then he nodded and said, "Okay!"
Emily looked up at the rearview mirror and saw Simon taking out a cigarette box from his pocket. He took out a cigarette from the box and put it in his mouth. As he turned on the lighter, he lowered the window. A voice came from beside her again. Calvin looked at her with a smile. "It's rare for me to take a week's leave this time. There are still a few days left. We haven't had a date for a long time. We can take the chance to have fun nearby! Emily, what do you think?"
Emily subconsciously looked in the rearview mirror again.
Simon turned his head to the window, only showing half of his face.
With a cigarette in his hand, white smoke rose, diffusing in the wind outside the window. His eyelids lowered and he focused on smoking there. It seemed that he didn't hear their conversation at all. Emily couldn't see his expression clearly.
After a long time, Emily nodded and said, "Okay..."
After driving for about 40 minutes, the car slowed down. There was a big sign in front of them, indicating the entrance.
Calvin looked up at the rearview mirror and asked, "Mr. Chin, which hotel do you live in? We're entering the city ahead. I'll drive you there!"
"There's no need. I'll get out of the car on the right side of the viaduct. I'll take a taxi myself!" Simon turned his head, crushed the cigarette butt in his hand and threw it out. Then he slowly closed the window. "Well, I'll stop after the red light!" Calvin did not insist it.
Soon, after the signal light changed, the car slowly stopped on the side of the road. Simon didn't take anything with him, so he got off the car directly.
Calvin asked politely, "Mr. Chin, how long does the seminary last?"
"It's almost over." Simon pulled his lips, and there seemed to be a hint of self-mockery in his low voice.
He put the last cigarette between his slender fingers, touched the door, and stared at the front passenger seat. Then he paused and said in a dull voice, "Emily, I'll book a ticket these two days, and then I'll go back to Tbridge City!"
Emily turned her head and saw the cigarette box he threw next to the seat.
She was surprised that he actually smoked an entire box of cigarettes in such a short time. Then she looked at him in a daze and said, "Then wish you safe on the way..."
"Hmm." After that, Simon suddenly asked, "Do you want the photo of the setting sun on the snow mountain? If you want it, I'll send it to you!"
Emily's breath seemed to stop for two seconds.
It was the beautiful scenery of setting sun on the snow mountain, which was what she once dreamed of.
She glanced at Calvin, who was sitting next to her, and gradually calmed down. Finally, she whispered, "Well, there's no need..."
"Got it." Simon's eyes were gloomy.
He became unusually silent like that when they met again.
"Thank you!"
Simon expressed his gratitude to Calvin. After that, he opened the door and got off the car.
After two whistles, the jeep re-entered the traffic and soon disappeared from sight. The white smoke rose up and Simon's eyes narrowed. When Simon couldn't see the jeep, he slowly looked away. His hand that held the cigarette gently trembled. He threw away the butt until the cigarette was burned out.
With his hands in his pockets, Simon casually took a turn at the crossroad and wandered aimlessly in the strange city. After a few steps, his phone rang. He took out his phone and checked it. Then he put it in his ear and said, "Hello, Charlie!"
It was dark..
Emily stood in front of the window in the living room, holding her mobile phone in her ear. The voice of her aunt in Ice city came from the phone. She said in an extremely excited tone, "Emily, it's good that you can go back to the dormitory safely! Since the earthquake happened in Country S, your uncle and I have been on tenterhooks every night. Now that you have returned safely, we are relieved!" Emily said quickly, "Don't worry about me. I'm fine!"
"Okay, I know. You need to take care of yourself!" He aunt sighed repeatedly and was still worried about her in a foreign country.
"Okay!" Emily felt warm in her heart.
Then her aunt suddenly said, "By the way, I heard from Selena that Wendy will get married! The family of her boyfriend seems to be quite noble, and there are news about the wedding. Did Wendy call you? You two have a good relationship when you were in college. If she gets married, won't you come back?"
Of course, the family of her boyfriend had a high status. Mr. Hogg would definitely hold an impressive wedding for his friend.
Emily was naturally happy for her best friend. "Well, she called me!"
When she was in the disaster area, the signal was unstable. She ever chatted with Wendy through the FaceTime twice, but it lasted for a short time each time, so they didn't talk too much.
After returning to her dormitory yesterday, she knew the good news that Wendy would get married!
