Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 939
Coming down from the escalator, she was in a short windbreaker and black over-the-knee boots, with long hair hanging loose over her shoulders. She looked exactly like the day they first met each other, but Emily didn't expect to see her again.
Everything was eventual.
Apparently, the girl had also seen her. She walked over in surprise and asked, "Miss Sam?"
"Miss Swan." Emily couldn't pretend not to recognize her.
"Haven't seen you for a long time!" Addy greeted.
Emily nodded with a polite smile and said, "It's been a long time. You're as beautiful as ever!"
Getting rid of the unhappy marriage with Sean, she looked more gorgeous with ruddy cheeks. When such a beauty appeared in public, she naturally drew much attention.
"I just came back from Newley City three days ago to deal with some personal affairs. I didn't expect to meet you here!" Addy smiled. It was a little embarrassing forthem to meet again. She continued, "Miss Sam, you and Simon..."
Before she could finish her words, Addy suddenly saw a man with handsome features walking towards Emily.
There was a warm smile on his face. It seemed that the two of them were very pretty close for that man put his arm around her shoulders as soon as he came up.
"Emily, have you been waiting for a long time?" Calvin walked over quickly. "The parking lots are full. I left the car on the roadside nearby! We seem to be a little late. The shop is just in front of the sightseeing elevator there. The shop assistant just called me to ask where we were!"
It was only after he stopped that he noticed that a beautiful woman was standing in front of Emily.
It seemed that they were chatting. He couldn't help asking, "Your friend?"
"Yes." Emily nodded, and then looked at Addy, who was surprised. "I'm sorry, Miss Swan. I have to go!"
"Calvin, let's go!" She pulled her fiance away.
From behind Addy was still staring at their backs with a look of speculation and exploration until they finally walked into a wedding dress store.
It was said that women were born with a natural longing for pure white wedding dresses. In the fitting room, Emily stood on a small round stage and looked at herself in the mirror. She was not excited. Instead, she was very calm.
As if she was implementing a task.
The assistant tied the ribbon on her back tightly and pulled open the red velvet curtain. Calvin, who was waiting outside, immediately came forward and praised her without hesitation, "Emily, you are so beautiful!"
"Thank you." Emily smiled.
Not only did she thank him for his praise, but for the style of the wedding dress that was designed by him. She was more like a guest who was invited to try it on.
Calvin followed the assistant to change into the groom's clothes. It was not a traditional black suit but was charcoal gray one. The collar was embroidered with silver stripes, rendering it a gracious looking. He appeared particularly gentle and courteous with the warm smile on his face.
The assistant asked the two of them to stand side by side, which was reflected in the mirror. This would be what was like on the wedding day.
Emily's gaze couldn't help but fall on the dark gray fabric.
Out of her expectation, she thought of Simon at this moment...
They didn't even have a wedding ceremony...
Emily closed her eyes, her nails cutting deeply into her palms, and managed to come to her sense.
She was fitted for her wedding dress, so the tailor didn't have to change much. After paying the final payment, they left the store.
They walked out of the revolving door of the mall. Just as they were about to go down concrete steps, a female voice suddenly came from the side. "Miss Sam, can we have a cup of coffee together?"
"Your coffee!"
A waiter placed the coffee cups on the tray in front of them respectively, before he nodded and left.
Emily pursed her lips and picked up a small coffee spoon to stir it. A moment before, she had looked at that speaker with depression after she heard someone called her name, only to replace that Addy was still waiting for her!
She finally received Addy's invitation.
Calvin thought they were good friends, so he suggested that he leave and pick her up later when he was done with some chores.
Addy did not drink her coffee. Instead, she asked in a hesitant tone, "Miss Sam, may I ask who is that man? I saw you seemed to go to a wedding dress store together."
"He is my fiance." Emily answered frankly.
"You're marrying someone else?" Addy seemed to be shocked.
"Yes, we will be engaged at the beginning of this month," Emily nodded and smiled. "Miss Swan, I'll be glad if you can come to our ceremoney!"
Addy seemed to be hard absorbing the news. After a long while, she said again, "I thought Simon and you..."
"We broke up." Emily said indifferently.
Hearing this, Addy was silent for a moment and carefully asked, "Miss Sam, Simon and you... Is it because of me?"
After Sean had been arrested, she finally got rid of her suffocating marriage. She immediately packed up her luggage and left Ice city for Newley City after the divorce had been announced. For more than half a year, she had never contacted Simon again.
Because Addy knew that all she could do was staying away from him.
When she returned to Ice city, she did not contact Simon, so she got no access to know how was them. Just now when she saw another man appear with Emily and walked into the wedding dress shop, she realized that Emily and Simon were separated!
Addy thought it might have something to do with herself, so she stayed in the mall and wanted to have a coffee talk with her.
Emily slightly pursed her lips and did not answer.
Seeing this, Addy lowered her head and took out her phone from her handbag. She moved her finger across the screen to replace the album and then showed it to her.
"What's this?" Emily was confused.
In the photo, Addy was holding a mixed-blood little girl with two braids. The girl seemed to be an Asian, but she had European features. Even if she was young, it could be seen that she would be a beauty. Addy explained with a smile, "This is my daughter. Her name is Anissa. Isn't she adorable?"
"Your daughter?" asked Emily in shock, looking at her in disbelief.
The little girl seemed to be at least five years old, and she didn't look like Addy at all.
"I adopted her!" Addy nodded and summoned up her courage to speak after a pause, "Because I had experienced a terrible accident. I became barren. I could not even have a test-tube baby. I ccould only adopt a child from the charity house! This is why Sean became violent after we got married, and Simon has been suffering from guilty all these years."
Emily's heart skipped a beat."... What do you mean?"
