Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 942
Come to see him!
That was the only thought in Emily's mind.
She didn't want to think about anything else but coming to him and being with him.
That night, she packed up her luggage for her flight at one o'clock in the middle of the night. After landing, she took another long journey by train and bus. Finally, she came to his place.
Emily stood on the step, which made her a little higher than him. Her figure was able to reflect in his glittering eyes. She moved forward and said, "Simon, have you forgotten what you promised me?" "What did I promise?" Simon's Adam's apple rolled.
Emily stared at him and said in a clear voice, "You said you would see the sunset above the snow mountains in Tbridge City with me. Do you still keep your words?"
Simon gasped involuntarily.
Yes, he had said that and he never forgot.
The sunset above the snowy mountains in Tbridge City was not enough. Plucking cactus in the Sahara Desert, rowing a boat in the Amazon rainforest to see crocodiles, sledding in the Arctic with Eskimos, and so on. He even wanted to go to every corner of the world with her...
There seemed to be two frogs jumping around in Simon's temple, and the flowing blood also seemed to break through her skin, but he was trying to restrain it.
When he left, her wedding date had already been set. Although he was in the distant Tbridge City, he knew that her wedding was about to be held. She would no longer be his Mrs. Chin and become someone else's wife, but now she appeared here surprisingly...
Looking away from her suitcase, Simon's throat became dry. His thin lips parted slightly as he said with a forced smile, "Emily, since you're here, what about the wedding?"
"It's canceled." Emily said lightly.
Simon was shocked and asked in disbelief, "You won't get married?"
"No!" Emily replied immediately, shaking her head.
Hearing this, Simon looked at her in surprise. He didn't blink, as if he wanted to distinguish if she was telling the truth from her eyes.
Emily didn't look away. She met his gaze, allowing him to stare into the depths of her heart.
This had been undoubtedly what he wanted to hear the most!
But that was only true in the past...
The fire of surprise gleaming in Simon's eyes was all put out. He frowned slowly as if he was thinking about something. After a moment of silence, he suddenly asked, "Do you know that I'm sick?" "..." Emily held her breath.
Simon's pupils dilated, and then he asked, "Did Dr. Lee tell you?"
He could almost guess what had happened. As a surgeon working in the same private hospital, Anthea could easily get any patient's medical record as long as she wanted to.
"Yes." Emily nodded.
Hearing that, Simon looked away at the wall next to her.
Sure enough...
The surging blood in his body gradually cooled down, and there seemed to be a mass of suffocating cotton in his throat. Simon boomed, "Emily, go back to Ice city. You're not welcomed here, and I don't need your sympathy or pity!"
Emily pursed her lips.
Before she came here, she actually expected that he would push her away and let her go back.
Because when he had known about his illness, he chose to let go. He was willing to give her a blessing when she was about to marry someone else. He even wanted to escape and ran back to the Tbridge City area so far away to live the rest of his life in the hope of not becoming a burden for her.
"Did you go to the supermarket? What did you buy?" Emily changed the subject, deliberately staring at the shopping bag in his hand.
The bag with fruits and vegetables in it, was always held by his right hand.
Seeing him frown and remain silent, Emily raised her hand and covered her empty stomach. She said pitifully, "Simon, I'm very hungry!"
Her stomach even rumbled as if it was trying to confirm her words.
In fact, Emily did not lie. She was indeed starving. Before she arrived at the Tbridge City yesterday evening, she had taken the train for more than ten hours, and a bus for the whole afternoon. She almost did not have a good meal.
The range hood stopped buzzing.
Emily immediately raised her head and saw the tall figure walking out of the kitchen.
The house had two bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen, and one washroom, which was similar to their wedding house in Ice city. Although the decor here was very simple and different, she had a feeling of being in the past.
Every time Simon was the one who was busy in the kitchen, and she only needed to sit at the dining table, waiting for he serving the food.
A hearty dinner had already been placed on the table.
The meal was nutritionally balanced with lovely bright colors, which made her mouth water.
Emily took the spoon from him and said with a smile, "Simon, I can eat the food you cook again!"
Simon stopped filling the bowl with soup for a moment. His lips twitched but did not say anything, before he put a bowl of soup in front of them.
Pieces of fish floating on the milky white soup which was very suitable for people living in the high-altitude area. Compared with Emily, who had drunk two bowls of soup in a row, Simon seemed to have no appetite. He remained silent all the time.
Emily quickly gulped the soup and then put down the bowl and spoon.
It seemed that he had been waiting for her. At the same time as she finished the soup, Simon raised his head and looked at her. "Are you done?"
"Yes!" Emily nodded. She could almost see the outline of her belly beneath her clothes.
Simon put down the spoon in his hand and said in a low voice, "Now you can go back to Ice city."
"Simon, are you driving me away?" Emily frowned.
"Isn't that obvious?" Simon asked calmly.
The two looked at each other for a few seconds. Gritting her teeth, Emily suddenly stood up from the chair and said, "Okay, I'll go!"
With that, she turned around and walked to the suitcase by the wall.
As she pulled the lever out, she glanced at the window of the living room, seemingly talking to him or mumbling to herself, "It's already dark outside. There is no airport. I'm not familiar with this place. I heard that the Tbridge City was not safe. Many local people even rob tourists. Losing money is not a big deal, but if I'm in danger, I can only blame myself for being unlucky! But since you ask me to leave, I'll leave. It's no big deal!"
Shrugging her shoulders, she did not look at his handsome face again.
Emily walked toward the entrance with her suitcase in a carefree manner.
She didn't even turn her head, neither did she hesitate. However, she was counting silently in her
heart.
One.
Two.
Three...
When she counted to the number three, as expected, footsteps came from behind her.
The corners of Emily's mouth curled up gradually. She lowered her head and saw a strong hand clutching her wrist firmly.
