Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 948
It is the hospital.
After the technical exchange meeting, Simon took off the disposable gloves and put the instruments in order. Then he walked down the podium with the materials in hand.
As usual, there were a lot of loving eyes following his tall and straight figure. They whispered to each other secretly with affection on their faces. "What should I do? Dr. Chin is so handsome! Not only is he handsome, but his voice is also entrancing! I felt he smile at me during the meeting!"
"Knock it off. You are in fool's paradise!"
"Now, I'm afraid that Connie is the happiest one!"
"Yes, Dr. Chin invited her last time!"
Speaking of which, they suddenly turned to Connie, who was also absorbed in Simon's back, and asked, "Connie, tell me, what did you do with Dr. Chin that day? Did you really go to his place?" "Well, it's true..." Connie suddenly blushed because of their questions.
"Oh, my God, then what did you do? Does Dr. Chin have a crush on you? How do you two feel about each other?" Connie's colleagues asked with great enthusiasm.
Being surrounded by them, Connie couldn't help feeling being flattered. She didn't answer directly, but showed a shy expression and said ambiguously, "In fact, it's nothing. It's just that we've cooked and ate together!"
Seeing this, her colleagues understood and encouraged her, "Connie, the department is having a party tonight. Go and invite Dr. Chin, maybe he will agree because of you!"
Being encouraged, Connie ran out of the conference room to replace Simon.
"Dr. Chin!"
Having heard someone calling him from behind, Simon stopped before the lift.
Connie blushed, and with her hands behind her back, asked, "The department is going to have a party tonight. Are you going with us?"
"I'm not going!" Simon said indifferently.
"Why? Do you have any plans at night? You haven't been to the parties since you came here. Don't you want to join in the fun? We all hope you could come!" Connie got shier as she spoke. Simon's eyes slightly moved. However, he refused at last. "I still have to go home to cook."
He was not alone. There was also Emily waiting for him.
Going home to cook again?
Staring at his back as he walked into the lift, Connie was dumbfounded.
The sun was setting. A private two-compartment car was driving in slowly from the entrance of the community. Emily, who was sitting in the co-pilot, pointed to the building and said, "That's the building. You can park there!"
After the car had stopped, she pushed open the door and got out.
A man wearing glasses, who was about her age, came out of the driver's seat. His name was Tyler Perry. He is more gentle and more refined in a manner compared to other young men of this area. He was very scholarly, and in fact, he was an elementary school teacher.
Since Emily was determined to stay and accompany Simon, she couldn't stay idle and eat her head off. Therefore, she thought that she could go to the mountain primary school to teach in the daytime. There were no special requirements to teach there. So she passed the headmaster's examination without further obstacles after signing up.
Mr. Tyler Perry was her colleague. The headmaster had sent Tyler to take her around the school. She went to the bookstore to buy books this day, and she came across him. As Emily bought lots of books, Tyler offered to drive her back.
"Tyler, thank you for giving me a lift!" Emily said gratefully.
"You're welcome. It's too much of a coincidence. I live nearby, so I took you home by the way!" Tyler smiled and shook his head. He helped her open the trunk and when he saw the books that were piled like a mountain, he couldn't help but ask, "Miss Sam, So many books. Do you need my help? Which floor do you live on?"
Her words were without other intentions. He just simply thought that it was difficult for a lady to carry so many books. And they were colleagues. He offered to help out of pure kindness.
"Thanks, but..." Emily shook her head.
When she was about to refuse, she suddenly heard the sound of the car. She quickly held her tongue. From the corner of her eyes, she saw a white off-roader came back and stopped behind the Tyler's car. Emily immediately changed her words. She smiled and nodded, "Thanks! Please."
"It's just a piece of cake! Just give them to me!" Tyler waved his hand in a hurry as a "you're welcome".
Emily's arms crossed in front of her and looked at him holding all the books in his arms. She deliberately raised her voice with a smile and said, "Tyler, you're such a kind man!"
Tyler was a little embarrassed by her praise and kept shaking his head.
Emily walked in front of Tyler, being hospitable. When they stepped on the stairs, she also gave Tyler a hand.
Behind them, Simon pulled out the car key and frowned as he watched the two of them walking into the building.
Because the apartment was on the second floor, they didn't spend too much time climbing stairs. Tyler helped her put the book on the cushion at the door. And then he left with Emily kept saying "thanks" and him kept replying "don't mention it".
Emily opened the door and moved the books into the apartment. The books were piled into heaps.
She looked the whole pile of books from the bottom to the top. Besides picture books for children on the top, the rest are medical books about AIDS. Even though she knew very little, she still wanted to try her best to learn more and accompany him through all of these.
Hearing the deep footsteps, Emily quickly stood up, pretending to be wearing slippers.
"Who is that man?"
As she had expected, a deep voice sounded.
Emily turned around and saw a tall and straight figure walking in. His face is taut, and his eyebrows knit in a frown.
"Does it have anything to do with you?" She asked slowly as reply, "As you don't want to be with me, it's none of your business!"
Simon was at a loss for words.
Emily blinked her eyes and asked, "Are you jealous?" "No!" Simon denied decisively. He coughed and said somewhat unnaturally, "I was worried that you may meet bad guys! You're unfamiliar with this place. Don't get in touch with just anybody!"
"Don't worry, I can still distinguish the good from the bad!" Emily shrugged her shoulders and said calmly.
Watching the wrinkle between his eyebrows getting deeper and deeper, she raised her eyebrows and looked at him in his usual wicked way. "Simon, why don't you promise me that you'll be with me. And I'll keep a distance from other men."
After a moment of silence, Simon said stiffly, "I'm going to cook!"
After taking off the leather jacket, he put on slippers and strode to the kitchen without saying a word.
Emily rolled her eyes to his back.
Sh*t, the trick didn't work.
