Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 950

"It was broken?"

Emily's eyes were wide open, and she exclaimed, "Why was it broken all of a moment?"

Simon frowned slightly and answered, "I don't know. The lock has been stuck and it can't move. The lock cylinder must have been rusty after so many years!" "Then what should we do?" Emily seemed to be confused. She said anxiously, "If the door can't open, how can I watch the sunrise if I can't get out of here?"

"You cannot but cancel it." Simon twitched his lips.

"What about looking for a locksmith to unlock the door?" Emily thought for a moment and asked.

Simon glanced at the clock on the wall and rejected without further ado. "What time is it now? No one is working at this time!"

Emily put her hand on her cheek, seeming to be thinking. Then she turned to look at the window and said, "Well, what about jumping out of the window? This is the second floor. It should not be a big problem, right?"

Hearing this, Simon suddenly pulled a long face, and he scolded, "Do you think you are a martial art master? Second floor is too high to jump. The height of each floor is bigger than usual buildings. Even if you don't break your legs, you will twist your feet!"

"Oh..." Emily frowned helplessly.

After a pause, she turned her eyes to look at him again. It looked like she had inadvertently squinted her eyes and asked, "Simon, you didn't break it on purpose, did you?"

"Of course not!" Simon's little trick was seen through.

Emily looked at his sharp reaction, blinked her eyes, and said, "I'm just asking. Why are you getting so nervous?"

"I'm not!" Simon held his fist against his lips, and the look on his face was very unnatural. It seemed that he also felt that his reaction was too obvious. His eyes slid out of focus and he said, "I'm sleepy. I'm going back to my room to sleep!"

After saying so, he turned around and walked to the guest room. He seemed to be running away.

"Be careful of the doorframe!"

Emily gave him a friendly reminder from behind.

However, it was still too late. Simon's calf still crashed into the doorframe, emitting quite a bit of a thud. He sucked in a cold breath, endured the pain and did not show anything. He dragged his injured leg and entered the room.

How could he say that he wasn't jealous!

Go on! Go on acting!

Emily couldn't hold back laughing any more and burst into laughter.

In fact, there was no such thing as a seeing the sunrise. She and Tyler were not even real colleagues at the moment. They didn't even have a phone number to contact each other. She was just tricking him and wanted to see him being jealous.

Taking off the scarf around her neck, Emily turned around and walked back to the bedroom. She was wearing pajamas inside her coat. She took off her coat and lay on her bed. She then yawned and fell into sleep.

Simon opened the door in the evening.

Inside the room, he could see faint glow of the setting sun streaming in from the living room, accompanied by faint sounds of conversation.

There are guests at home...

Simon immediately frowned. Is it the primary school teacher again? How dare she take that guy home!

Throwing the key on the shoe cabinet, he put on the slippers and quickly walked inside. When he saw a mother and a son sitting in the living room, his tight eyebrows suddenly loosened. "Simon, you're back!"

When Emily saw him, she stood up from the couch and walked up to him and dragged him in front of the guests. She mentioned for the mother and son sitting on the couch and said, "Hurry up, there are guests at home. They're here for you!"

They arrived twenty minutes before he came back. Emily was playing phone games on the sofa. When she heard a knock, she saw them standing outside the door and asking if this was Dr. Chin's home on opening the door. Knowing that they were patients who had been treated by Simon, she quickly invited them to come in.

The mother and son also stood up from the sofa and said, "Dr. Chin!"

"Elder sister, why are you here?" There was a flash of surprise in Simon's eyes, and then he asked in a deep voice, "Is there something wrong with the child's heart? If so, we have to go to the hospital to take an X-ray quickly!"

Seeing patients, his first reaction was concerning their health.

Seeing this, the mother quickly waved her hand and explained, "Dr. Chin, don't worry, my son is very healthy! Since the operation, he has been recovering well!" "Then you are..." Dr. Chin was confused. "I'm sorry to disturb you. I came here today mainly to give you an invitation! We will slaughter two cows tomorrow. It will be Saturday and many relatives will come. And I'm here to invite you to join the fun and have a taste of the fresh beef! I didn't go to the hospital because I fear that others would talk gossip about you if they see me inviting you. So I came to your home after replaceing out your address. I really want to thank you for saving my son's life!"

In this place, slaughtering cow could be counted as sign for big events. Generally, it was only on New Year or other important holidays. Further, the local people were very simple and hospitable and they would invite lots of people to share the fun.

After Simon learned the situation, he said in a flat voice, "Elder sister, I am a doctor. It is my duty to cure diseases and save people!"

Perhaps for the patients, the doctors were their saviors. But for doctors, they just performed their duties.

When the mother heard his words, she immediately replied, "Dr. Chin, what I'm doing is just a token of my gratitude and I don't mean anything else! Since I've come to invite you personally, you must agree, otherwise, I won't go!"

Seeing that the mother was very persistent and thinking of her kneeling down at the return visit, Simon finally agreed.

"It's so great!" the mother was very happy.

Since the mother had already reached her goal of coming as she had successfully invited him, she did not intend to stay any longer. She said that she needed to go home to cook dinner for the elderly and ther hurried off with her son.

Emily and Simon walked the mother and the son to the door.

"Dr. Chin, that's a deal!" The mother confirmed it again at the door, and her eyes looked at the two of them. "Dr. Chin and Mrs. Chin must come tomorrow. The party won't start if you don't come! Son, say goodbye to Dr. Chin and Mrs. Chin!"

The child immediately said crisply, "Goodbye, uncle and aunt!"

"Goodbye!" Emily said with eyebrows curved.

Watching the mother and son walking down the stairs, holding hands, they closed the door.

Only the two of them were left in the house. Simon twisted his eyebrows. "Mrs. Chin! What's your trick this time?"

He looked at Emily with a squint, and she coughed lightly. She put her hands on her shoulders, but said calmly, "How do I know! Why do you look at me? She called me like that. What can I do?"

Simon raised his brows.

Seeing that he was still staring at her, Emily frowned, like an old man giving instructions to his little daughter-in-law, "What are you looking at? Go cooking!"

Simon was speechless.
