Roisin turned her gaze to Lumina, her eyes glowed bright red, as if burning. Abyssia backed away and fled back to the ladder.

"Roisin!" Anya called out. Roisin didn't respond.

Roisin slowly placed Dex onto the floor, then turned back to Lumina who, for the first time had a look of fear in her eyes.

"DIE!" Roisin screamed, she jumped across the room, with superhuman strength and pinned Lumina to the floor. The Academy building shook as the volcano below began to erupt.

"We have to get out of here!" Wes shouted. Anya nodded and fled up to the research centre, all the sealed doors had now opened, including the cells. On their way through the depot, Wes and Anya met Ashe and Ariel, and they all fled together.

Roisin punched Lumina in the face with flaming fists, wings of fire sprouted from her back. Lumina tried to block the attacks, but Roisin's fury overpowered her. Roisin suddenly stopped.

"No... this isn't me" She s, her eyes returned to normal.

Lumina took the opportunity to throw Roisin across the room. She fled up the ladder as fast as she could. Roisin watched her, but ran over to Dex.

"Dex... wake up!" Roisin cried.

She shook Dex, but he didn't awaken. Dex was dead.

Roisin screamed at the top of her lung, as tears streamed down her face. She picked Dex up and turned back to the tunnel that the others had fled through.

She made her way through the research building and got outside, to see Lumina boarding Abyssia's airship, which flew away as soon as she boarded.

"Run while you can, Harbinger" Roisin uttered, she headed across the courtyard to the airship bay. The sky had filled with smoke from the erupting volcano, making it difficult to breathe. When she entered the bay, she noticed there was an airship powered up, with the hold door stood wide open.

"ROISIN!" Ashe shouted. "Quick!" She added.

Roisin nodded and ran across the bay, one of the supports of the Academy gave way, and the airship began sliding forward. Roisin ran faster than she ever could before and jumped into the hold, with Dex in her arms.

"Go!" Ariel shouted up to the cabin, the hold door slammed shut and the airship flew forward and away from Pyre Academy. Anya looked out of the cabin window, to see the lava pouring over the city of Raryst.

Down in the Steppe, Rychard was on his knees, surrounded by the bodies of the students of his Academy.

"..." Rychard looked into the sky to see both Abyssia's airship, and Anya's airship fly away from the Academy.

"No more" Rychard sighed, he rose to his feet and walked away from Raryst.

A few days had passed, and an airship landed in the ruins of Wynd Academy. Roisin, Anya and Ashe stepped out, Ashe had a spade in her hand, and Roisin and Anya carried a small wooden box.

Ashe dug a grave for Dex and Roisin and Anya placed the coffin inside. The others stepped outside and formed a circle around the grave.

"Dex, you were always there for all of us, you taught me to be a better person, and I'll miss you..." Ariel said, as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Dex, you were my friend, and I love you, you and Roisin always cheered me up when I was down. We will remember you." Ashe bowed her head.

"I know I may be annoying, but you always accepted me for who I am, when I told you of my past, of me being a girl, you didn't judge me. You were the heart of your team and you wont be forgotten." Wes sighed.

"Dexter Inatalla, you were strength, my courage, my soul, my heart. You were my world, and my everything. You were always there for me when I needed you, and I wish I could have been there when you needed me. I will love you until the day I die, you will always be a part of me. I love you Dex, and I'll always miss you" Roisin cried, Ashe hugged Roisin tightly and watched as Anya began to bury Dex.

Rain began to pour down on the ruins and the others headed inside. Roisin stayed beside the grave for a little while longer, and closed her eyes.

Roisin awoke in a large white void. Dex was stood before her smiling.

"Roisin, I had to see you one last time... and those Judge guys, the creepy buggers actually permitted it" Dex smiled slightly.

"I'm sorry Dex" Roisin frowned.

"Don't be, I'm at peace now" Dex smiled. "I love you Roisin" He added.

"I love you Dex, you'll always be with me" Roisin sighed.

"Well, that bit may be a bit more literal" Dex said, smiling slightly.

"What do you mean?" Roisin asked, looking curious now.

"The Gods aren't all dead, Ros" Dex smiled.

"Wha..." Roisin began.

"They told me, of how your mother gave herself to you, to strengthen your soul for the power you received." Dex explained.

"The power?" Roisin asked.

"What Skylar did to you, you are now, technically, the Fire Crystal." Dex explained.

"How did they know?" Roisin asked.

"Divine interference I guess?" Dex shrugged. "Anyway, they want you to continue to gain the strength of the Crystals" Dex added.

"Can we trust the gods?" Roisin asked.

"For now" Dex nodded. "I want to give my soul to yours, to give you strength, I'm not interested in being reborn" He added.

"Only if you are sure..." Roisin sighed.

"I've never been more sure of anything" Dex smiled, he hugged Roisin tightly, then faded into her.

"I'll always be here, just call on me when you need me" Dex's voice rang out through Roisin's mind.

Once more Roisin was stood on in the ruins of Wynd Academy, she looked up to the cloudy sky, and took a deep breath, then headed back into the airship.
