Priscilla had first felt discomfort, a lot of discomfort, a headache, too much to bear, and then everything turned hot and red. Before her eyes there were only flames, big and aggressive flames that terrified her. She couldn’t stop shaking.

The voices in her head were now screams that intertwined until they drove her mad, she could feel the pain of the others advancing towards her. And that embracing warmth that was somehow welcoming her, all around her. Another scream burst from her mouth, holding her head as she could barely open her eyes.

She looked for her siblings and her parents only to discover that among the high flames there were several bodies lying back and forth, but there was something that alarmed her. That thin red thread coming out of her mother’s mouth. Had it been her? No, it couldn’t be, she would never hurt her family. What about her brothers? They were shocked. And her father? He was coming towards her, at her side, and to her shock, so was her wolf.

“Pa,” she said almost sobbing, “Help me,” she reached out her hand for his support but that only made the flames spread towards him aggressively.

Hades and Layan reacted quickly and jumped back. The heat of the flames was scorching and made the former sweat, the front of his shirt was burnt. Layan, on the other hand, had not even been affected despite being in the same condition. Hades felt awe-inspiring as he saw the look of panic on his daughter’s face as she realised what she had done and backed away.

-Pris,” he almost gasped, he didn’t care about anything now, not even his pack, he paid no attention to his family because he knew he was fine, his pups had been well trained and he trusted them, and his wife was a strong wolf. Though later he would run to her side, but his daughter filled all his thoughts.

-Leon, one of the twin alphas stopped behind them and said in a dry voice, “You’ll only char them in the worst of pain.

Hades turned around, his teeth clenched, if he didn’t get close to his daughter, how was he going to get her out of there.

-Please calm down, Alpha Hades,” the wolf was the least expressive of them all, not even with his brother did he let out a smile, “Take a good look,” he indicated with his chin, “she’s not being attacked by anything, the flames around her, I believe herself, won’t hurt her.

-How can you be so sure,” Layan pushed his hair back from his forehead and moved it back, he saw the temperature in the room rise but he knew it from the others who were sweating, he didn’t. “I can tell because those flames believe it,” he said.

“I can tell because those flames are created by the power equal to mine, the control of fire” he snorted, “a really strong power if you know how to master it, I really feel sorry for her” he said coldly.

Hades narrowed his eyes, and clenched his fist in restraint. He had to be rational.

-Is there any way to stop it?

Leon raised an eyebrow and looked at Litus, his brother.

-I really don’t know. My brother is the one who has taken it upon himself to control my power whenever I really lose control. It’s not a power that can be easily mastered, it’s based on emotions, he’s even stronger than Litus.

Only if she awakened the power of ice would she be able to control herself.

“But that…” Hades fell as the other alpha raised his hand.

-Her body would not withstand it, just as it will not now if we do not control her, she will soon be exhausted and her life will be consumed,” a cold sweat ran down Hades’ back, “Layan,” Asule looked at the leader of the Council, “You can stop her.

Ever since she had learned of Priscila’s existence she had played at hiding and staying as far away as possible until their paths crossed irretrievably. The wolf was a bit difficult to handle, too intense for him. Too sure of what he wanted, it was something he couldn’t handle.

He took a few steps towards where Priscilla was, the area around them was already deserted, some of the wolves had moved away and some had been evacuated to avoid any disaster. He swallowed again uselessly. The flames began to dance around him, hitting his body without burning him. He felt the heat they gave off but it was bearable. He walked closer and closer. Priscilla’s head was raised showing her tear-stained cheeks.

“No,” she almost whispered and crawled backwards. “Don’t come any closer .

.” Layan stopped a few feet away, the circle beginning to warp around him.

-Puppy, calm down.

-Stay away, don’t come closer, he’ll hurt you,” her voice trembled and she crawled back a little further.

“Priscilla, listen to me, you’re not hurting me,” he raised his hand so that she could see that the flames were touching him but not burning him.

-No, no,” she sobbed quietly and put her hands to her head as the voices returned with such force that they left her breathless, the scream didn’t leave her mouth, “Stay away, stay away, shut up,” she gasped and the flames grew more intense.

Nicolas pulled his mother and brother away. He made sure Noa was safe with Siran, who had pulled Sara out first. This was more dangerous than they thought.

-Priscilla,” Layan tried to reason with her, “Look at me, don’t ignore me,” he spoke softly, slurring his words.

She bit her l*p until it bled but with an effort she opened her eyes and looked for him, the body of her wolf was there, close to her. But she couldn’t reach it, she couldn’t move, her head was in chaos, she couldn’t think, she was scared, terrified, she had attacked her father, her mother, the pack, what would they think now. What if she couldn’t do anything and it happened again. Just thinking about it made her chest tighten and everything went black.

What if he killed again like when he was younger?

-Layan is the only one who can do anything now, if her power is not controlled, she has just withdrawn into herself, if she explodes again, think how she will feel if she kills her parents.

Layan understood his words and without much thought ran the same path the puppy had taken. Hades, on the other hand, cursed and moved closer to his wife and pressed his nose against her neck, listening to the m**n of pain that came from her throat. They both felt awe-stricken that they couldn’t do anything, the only thing left was for Layan to bring her back safe and sound.
