Queen Of The Alpha -
Chapter 46
Priscilla dragged Victore into her room and threw him onto her bed. She closed the door behind her back and lay down on it.
-Speak, tell all,” she demanded with a frown.
Victore blinked at the wolf’s change of attitude and began to laugh, dropping onto the bed and holding his stomach. Pris, on the other hand, didn’t understand what was so funny. She didn’t see what was so funny about the whole thing around her.
-Pris,” Victore sat up and wiped away a tear, “Don’t worry, I’ll answer anything you want, but first you’d better change your clothes. If by any chance my alpha happens to pass by and sees you in that get-up and me sitting here, no matter how much I smell like him, he’ll think the wrong things and castrate me, and I like s*x too much to lose my beautiful little friends down there-“.
The obscene way the wolf said that made Priscilla uncomfortable and after checking herself up and down and wanting to think she wasn’t blushing she walked towards the bathroom.
-If I come out and you’re not there, I’ll look for you anywhere in the pack and you’ll give me an answer,” she said before going in.
Victore slicked back his platinum hair and smiled.
-The Princess is quite demanding, but I like her,” he teased and lay back on the bed until she finished doing what she had to do, remembering the night before.
He’d had a hard time getting Kei drunk and open-mouthed. She wasn’t stupid enough to know the wolf liked her, but the fucker hadn’t just declared it to her. And he was sadistic enough to say something and break up the fun so far. He loved watching Kei’s always cold face melt into a grimace of worry and embarrassment at him.
He let out a laugh. His handsome appearance was really a screen, but he was sure someone like Priscilla would understand. Being the son of an omega and incidentally being so beautiful and delicate was not a good thing where the prototypical big strong male wolf was the norm. Something that only female wolves sought. Maybe it was because of this rejection that he also liked males.
Or maybe it was since he had met Kei.
The door opened. That had been quick.
Priscilla came out, drying her hair and without any clothes on with her body still damp. Victore sat down and rested his head on his hand.
-You really aren’t worried about my alpha killing me are you princess?
Priscilla looked over her shoulder at him as she opened the wardrobe.
-It’s not like you’re going to attack me because you don’t like my body,” she grabbed a pair of trousers and a short baggy blouse and put them on calmly.
Then she plopped down on the armchair in front of the bed, drying her hair.
-You can talk now.
Victore smiled.
-Ask first, I’ll answer.
-In that case, we’ll go from the simplest to the most difficult,” he wanted to save the most dense for last because he knew there would be more questions than he was already asking himself, “What is your relationship with Kei? I don’t want you to hurt him.
Victore’s expression turned a little grim.
-I don’t think that’s any of the business of a pup like you who barely knows him,” she raised her hand before Priscilla interrupted, “But just so you’re calm, I know he’s in love with me and wants me to be his mate. I can’t read minds like you but I can enter other people’s dreams from time to time and yes, I’ve seen him and everything he wants to do to me- he licked his lips- I…I reciprocate, I’m just having a bit of fun at the moment-.
-Is that why you sleep with him when you get him drunk?
Victore bowed his head.
-A virgin puppy wouldn’t understand but there are times when love can be so toxic that it hurts and even more so if you let yourself get carried away. I like Kei a lot and of course I have my s****l urges and who better than him to quench them, hasn’t he seen that body and he’s really good and tender in bed. But until he tells me with his own lips that he wants me in his life, I’m not going to let him touch me like he should in his right mind. If he hasn’t, it means he’s not really not aware of his feelings.
-You’re really hard on him,” Priscilla disagreed but she had no say in their lives.
-Life is hard, precious, you’ve only lived a short life so he still has a lot to learn.
-Don’t keep treating me like a puppy, Victore,” Priscilla crossed her legs.
-Victore smiled and the she-wolf knew that despite her innocent appearance, her personality was completely different.
-Second. You are the son of an omega just like me, are you an omega?
Victore denied.
-Queen Nebraka is an omega, but none of her children are omega, not even you are omega despite your powers. And perhaps it was for the best. I wasn’t born omega but where I was born everyone knew where I came from and they kind of wanted to force me, if you know what I mean. I was even betrayed, so I ran away once my mother died. I had no other family so I left nothing behind. My alpha was the one who took me in and kept my abilities a secret. My mind is strong so no one can access it and I can read other people’s dreams instead- -But you read my mind?
-But you read my mind a little while ago.
Victore’s eyes glowed and he leaned forward and took her hand.
-Maybe it’s because of the connection but for some reason I can access your conscious mind, it must be because of how strong it is and because it wanted to enter mine you left a bridge between us. That felt so intimate.
-Do you flirt with everyone like that?
Victore let out a loud laugh and released her.
-I’m sorry, it’s just so much fun to tease him, his face is beautiful but he doesn’t flinch at anything. I wanted to see a reaction but nothing at all.
It was the first time someone made fun of her for simply being so serious, so she pretended to smile so she was puzzled. She closed her eyes and continued, now seeing the most dense part.
-Layan,” she said the name and Victore stopped laughing, “Why her wild and rational parts are separated. It’s not normal.
The wolf scratched his cheek, trying to replace an easy way to say the next thing.
-As you can see, this is a delicate matter but since from what I can see the wild part of our alpha is interested in you, I shouldn’t keep it to myself. Just don’t say that I mentioned it- he put his finger on his mouth as if to keep silent- Let’s see I don’t know how the matter is in detail but from what I heard from his father Hades, it’s from when he was a puppy. Layan couldn’t control his wild side when he was a child so they didn’t fuse properly.
Priscilla blinked slowly. They were wolves. The first years of life were the most important in their development where they developed their instincts and their personalities were formed. She never had trouble mastering the wild side of her that told her when to kill and hunt, but there were always exceptions.
-Layan’s wild side is really strong but her rational side is also strong so although they live together most of the time and even seem to be one, there are times when they separate like now. From what Kei told me, the alpha rejects her, but from what I saw his wild side wants to claim her. It’s been a while since something like this has happened.
-Is that bad?
-Well, let’s say it is in a way. The wild side of our alpha is WILD in every way, if any of us happen to come in when he’s, say, touching or kissing her, he could rip our throats out just to stake out the ground and show that you’re his.
-I didn’t know it could be that bad,” Priscilla thought to herself, which is why he was so insistent at night with her and wouldn’t listen to her.
-The rational part of the alpha that gets to be nice is the one that puts the brakes on him, and he’s not so aggressive or territorial. Together they are strong and lethal, but apart they are weak. Another thing that few people know is that the few times I have seen the wild side of the alpha is when he is in heat. I have known that the alpha Hades has a strong jealousy but in the case of our alpha he desires b***d and to tear apart whatever is put in front of him so he sends himself to be chained because his rational part is completely annulled.
Priscilla could feel a drop cross her back and she didn’t know if it was sweat or the moisture in her hair. Layan, that wolf she claimed…she knew nothing about him. And if by chance, she who was about to go into heat, stimulated his heat, what could happen? It was a possibility. He could deal with the situation.
She lowered her head and thought until she felt Victore’s hand on her head.
-Don’t think too hard. I know it’s a complicated thing to process, but if you get nervous in front of him, it’ll be worse. Just pretend I didn’t say anything, okay? The alpha seems fine with you and his wild side likes you. I think you’re the key to helping him with his big little problem,” and with those words Victore walked away leaving Priscila with a world of heads.
She got up and walked to the window and opened it, she needed some fresh air. The wind ruffled her damp hair but the scent of someone else reached her and she looked down. She found Leila, it had been days since their paths had crossed or they were avoiding each other, one of two things, she was left wondering if the she-wolf liked her because all this time it was Liam who was controlling her. But…she leaned further forward on the edge.
Why was she with that wolf?
Her eyes focused on the one next to her. If she wasn’t mistaken, it was Antoin, the brother of the puppy that had knocked her down twice. What a coincidence that he was the one with Leila? After all, that wolf seemed suspicious to her if only Layan hadn’t interrupted her that day.
She watched them wander off into the foliage towards the forest. She cursed, but it was then that she realised she’d run too far forward and her hand slipped from the window frame. He was going to fall from that height. Ohhh, that was going to hurt.
An arm suddenly wrapped around her waist and pulled her back and the ceiling of her room was in front of her instead of the floor. She let out a sigh. She hated the smell, but she liked the smell of the body enveloping her.
-Good morning… Layan…
