Queen Of The Alpha -
Chapter 69
Priscilla couldn’t get over the shock. Of all the people she thought Liam might be with, he turned out to be where she least expected him to be, and one of the reasons was because she’d given Kei her manacle. All those who had it would not be possessed, so it was more likely to be on either Antoin, Alim, or another wolf in the pack. They were protected from Liam’s control, but now that he remembered he hadn’t seen Kei since he’d given them to him for training, so he hadn’t been able to verify that he had it on.
-Why him?” Priscilla asked, keeping her cool, though inside her world was still in total disarray. Behaving like a crazy, euphoric, annoying woman would only sap what little strength she had left, and Liam would use that to go against her. Besides, he wouldn’t give him the pleasure of seeing her lose control like that.
A smile that raised every hair on her naked body appeared on Kei’s face. It was so strange that there was no doubt that this was not the real Kei.
-For Layan’s beta and second in command of the pack, he’s a wolf with a very simple mind. It was very easy to take him over when they removed my body. His mind barely showed any resistance when Nebraska lowered the barrier and I managed to get inside,” he laughed loudly, “I really didn’t think you’d get in my way sweetheart, you’ve given me enough trouble, I promise I’ll get you for every one of them,” he said.
Liam ducked back into the shadows and when he returned he did so with two bundles that he threw a few feet away from the she-wolf. She swallowed an exclamation when she realised who they were. Alim’s body and Leila’s body slumped motionless on the ground. Both of their eyes were slightly open, showing empty sockets. Priscilla only knew they were not dead as their chests rose and fell. Although it was slow at least it was steady. She breathed a sigh of relief but worried that the damage was internal.
-They were good puppets, but I won’t need them anymore,” Liam, inside Kei’s body, sat comfortably shaded by a stone, staring at Priscilla. The sadistic smile that adorned his face seemed unreal on his normally emotionless face.
-What did you do to them? Priscilla didn’t know what would happen to her but for the moment she had to get as much information out of her as possible. How she had created the obstacles, and what her ultimate goal was.
If she could prevent her from meeting Layan directly, she would do anything, even risk her life.
-I didn’t do anything to them. Their minds were too fragile. Hers, a she-wolf coming out of madness barely had any mental defenses and being Layan’s sister allowed me to move around the castle and be near you without arousing suspicion. The cub had no relation to you but allowed me to hide when I didn’t want to be found. You know I can move my conscience to whoever I want but much more stable when this mind is not strong. And Antoin, that stupid wolf, it was easy to threaten him to act according to my preferences, the poor thing, he was so worried about his brother that he allowed me to take control of his body for the sake of not hurting his brother. Deluded. In the end I cut his throat with his own claws. You must be as good as dead now, as his brother will be shortly,” he guffawed, “I have sealed the minds of both of them. Your organs must soon cease to function and you will both die.
Priscilla bristled and stirred, feeling the weight of the chains barely allowing her to move much. She couldn’t let them die. One was a puppy and the other a wolf, Liam’s sister. No matter how much they wouldn’t take didn’t mean she’d let her die.
-The chains around your hands and legs are the same ones that held your mother captive for over 50 years. They are rusted so they may break your skin a little, but they have not lost their effectiveness. They repress even the strongest power of all. It is said that they were the ones that kept under control the first wolf creator of all wolves and especially the alphas. What do you think? Interesting truth.
Priscilla this time couldn’t help but show her fangs and her silver eyes lit up. She could still smell in those chains the dried b***d of her mother and even though she had been in her womb and was only a fetus she could see in her mother’s memories all the suffering she had gone through because of this wolf.
But as much as he wanted to tear her throat out, he had to know more. He did not yet know his intentions. In the meantime and despite the fact that it began to hurt and her limbs began to tremble she forced her mind stealthily to try to wake the two wolves in front of her.
As gently and slowly as her mother had taught her she could only do so given her arduous training. And she was thankful that the chains did not interfere in this task, as mind control was not a power inherited from the alphas, but from her omega mother, a power only they possessed and she knew how to control very well.
But she had to be cautious. Liam couldn’t realise what she was doing, so she started talking to stall him. She had to be careful, Liam had lost his body but he was extremely strong and he was also an omega. If he made one false move it would not only be his life that would be in danger.
Then it was time to buy time.
-How come you were talking to me in my mind when you were in the pond and then later when I entered Layan’s pack,” he figured out the answer by now but he wanted to confirm it.
-Easy, every time I wanted to do it I approached the cave but never entered. Litus had put up a barrier to keep you safe, but that barrier only worked with the physical, not with my mind. It was easy to intervene in your state and talk to you. I had a lot of fun with you. I was the one who stimulated you to wake up before your time. That’s how strong I am,” he mocked, “Then I just had to be at the right moment and at a certain distance to talk to you.
