Queen Of The Alpha -
Chapter 77
It was cold, desolate, agonising. All dark, all black, he couldn’t see anything. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t… he was burning inside. His body was throbbing to the point of pain. She had to calm it down, she had to complete the link that kept her trapped in a vicious circle and mate, that was what her mind dictated.
Wait…
She just had to…
Open her eyes. But still there was nothing, there was no one.
Where was he? Where were his parents?
Where was his wolf?
-Wait, wait,” Layan’s voice rose uncontrollably, “What the hell did you just say?” Now he was going crazy.
Victore was sweating to the point where he couldn’t sweat anymore. Being surrounded by two alphas and a queen who if he didn’t watch his words would undoubtedly jump him was getting rough. But at this point there was no other choice.
-As he heard alpha. The princess was the one who awakened the wolf inside you again- -Again, dense seconds of silence until the wolf was gone.
Again, dense seconds of silence until Hades broke it.
-And how could she have done that?
That’s where it got tense. It wasn’t as if he could talk about the alpha’s intimate life with the alpha’s in-laws in front of him. Let the moon protect him.
-Well, you see,” Victore was already shifting uncomfortably in his seat, “Alpha, do you remember that you have some mental lapses related to Priscilla,” he didn’t touch too much on the subject and lightly motioned for him to follow the rhyme.
And luckily his alpha was very perceptive.
-Yes. I’ll admit that Pris has told me some things that happen between us that I can’t really remember doing,” that included when she had told him about the times he had touched, licked and kissed her too much, where he didn’t remember anything, but at the time he would love to have those memories.
-Well… those things were done by your wild side taking control of your body and doing them for you. Your wolf really wants to end the bond with Priscilla since you bit her.
Layan’s mouth opened slightly. No, not since he bit her, but before. The vague memories of him meeting her as if in a dream and declaring her to be his. Since that day their fates had been linked. No wonder she woke up smelling so much of him and a slight hint of arousal, as well as tired, much more than usual. Even if he could remember waking up touching her he never knew how it had started. Now everything was clearer and explained that damn voice in her head. That apparently it was smarter than him who had played hard to get at the beginning. If he had given in earlier it would have been easier for everyone.
-Well, we already know about my wolf, about why he woke up to claim Priscilla. Now we need solutions and how this can be used inside me to take down Liam,” Layan felt his head hurt even more.
-For that alpha I need him to let me talk to his wolf, do you think that’s possible? – Victore insisted.
Layan’s brow furrowed painfully.
-Don’t even think I’ll let him take control of my body. You don’t know what he can do.
-The wolf’s voice hammered his head so hard that Layan squeezed his eyes shut and growled.
-Alpha,” Victore’s hand was placed on his shoulder, “Please trust me. It is necessary to save the Princess.
At the mention of Priscilla, Layan’s stubbornness quickly subsided.
-If it is necessary to save Priscilla,” he cursed himself internally for consenting to this action so easily.
-In any case, we have the queen of the silver pack here along with the alpha who can help us in case something happens, and secondly you don’t have to let him take control of his body completely, if he does believe me he will be a beast without control. Just let me be able to communicate with him. Just give in a little. You’re strong enough for that,” Victore took the time to say that as calmly as possible.
And Layan knew how strong he was, as well as the beast inside him. He could feel him aggressive, possessive, even violent. It was a beast without the rational part that characterised them. It was simply dangerous. But at this moment it was necessary.
So he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had to concentrate to keep his consciousness at the forefront even as the beast inside him tried its best to get out.
One, two, three minutes passed and only after that time, Layan slowly opened his eyes and they were naturally blue, they were an intense gold with a black dot in the middle that soon settled on Victore. Already Layan growled.
Hades soon put an arm in front of Nebraska sitting on the edge like a protective wall. Even the scent of the other alpha had changed. For his part Victore didn’t move from his spot.
-We need your help,” the commander’s voice was harsh and it made the Layan wolf bare his teeth. Still the albino wolf didn’t back down. “If you want your she-wolf, we need you to cooperate, otherwise the plan won’t work,” he said.
Layan narrowed his eyes and nodded for him to speak and Victore was very precise with his words, explaining each part of his plan, as well as the alternatives in case something went wrong. If all went well he could take care of Liam.
So several minutes later Layan let out a loud gasp and his head fell forward as he held it in his hands. His eyes had resumed their beautiful blue colour and they could see the hand rests of his furniture as they were splintered from him burying his claws in the material as he controlled himself and that had been difficult.
Between Hades and Victore they managed to straighten him out and he breathed. Nebraska brought him a glass of water which put him down in one go. No wonder he couldn’t control it when he was more of a puppy. The beast inside him was lethal and he had barely given it room. Otherwise he didn’t know what would happen.
-So… I heard everything, are you sure… it’s going to be okay? – Layan asked Victore pulling his hair back.
-Yes alpha I’m sure…” but a whimper of pain from Nebraska made everyone look at her suddenly.
Hades soon had his wolf in his arms helping her sit up. She had a grimace of pain on her face and was rubbing her chest.
-What’s wrong?” Hades asked with marked concern. Until a few seconds ago she had been fine.
Nebraska’s face suddenly paled. It startled those present.
-Nebraska?” Layan didn’t have a good feeling. Rather, a strange sensation was settling inside his chest, but he hoped it wasn’t what he imagined, or else….
But it wasn’t just the eyes of the she-wolf raising her head that confirmed it. It was the wolf who came in almost breaking down the door and who was pale, even paler than the queen. When he went to speak he was trembling from head to foot.
-She… she… she… she…
-Layan shouted, rising from his seat in great anxiety.
-It’s that… the princess,” the crowd tensed.
The words echoed off the walls and they really… didn’t know what to do.
-What?” Layan only managed to say, looking from the wolf to Nebraska, “Is it true what she said?
Nebraska just nodded with her lips in a thin, hard line. And Layan got even more scared. The reason she was asleep was to help her so Liam wouldn’t take control of her, but if she had woken up they were in trouble.
But something important.
-How did she wake up,” Hades stole the words from her mouth.
Nebraska shook her head.
-I have no idea. He broke the bonds he had on her. She, she’s stronger than me,” Nebraska said helplessly.
It was known that Priscilla was stronger than all of them, no wonder her own powers were killing her, but what would break Nebraska’s iron grip on her mind if she got them out of control. And now what would they do.
But they didn’t have much time to think. The wolf who had given the news gave a cry alarming them all, falling to his knees and a shocked face. And it was the image in the doorway that made the two alphas, the commander and the queen inside that room tremble at the knees as well.
There she was. With a light mist around her dark hair that danced over her shoulders, giving her a reddish colouring, like flames burning, a cold bluish thresh at her feet that was lost behind her, her whitish skin barely covered with a short cloth robe, furrowed by thousands of black threads showing her tainted body. Large bruises around her neck that started at the back and met in front like a thick necklace between purple, red, green and yellow, not at all pleasant to look at or to have, eyes completely silver, with a pupil so small that you could hardly notice it.
Her lips, those that before were cracked, now of a dense red where the b***d was concentrated and that showed…, relaxing a thousandth of Priscilla’s emotionless expression, a cold but beautiful, yes, beautiful smile.
And, ignoring everyone around her, her parents, the wolf lying terrified on the ground, the albino commander who didn’t know what to say, the wolves crowding around ready to attack, scared by the uncertainty, she walked in Layan’s direction.
