Chapter 184

Chapter 184 Take Away

As the young lady passed by Eileen, she accidentally bumped into her at the door.

Eileen heard some commotion at the entrance and was unsure of what was happening.

Noticing a fallen chair, Eileen approached and picked it up. Albert and Charlie’s attention.

turned to Eileen.

Internally, Albert scoffed. She has the audacity to come over!

Eileen glanced at them and then at Elm, who emitted a violent aura with blood on his She hadencountered him during her time in Class Six, and she had witnessed hist unpredictable temper before.

Eileen speculated that he might have bipolar disorder.

Without further questioning, she placed the notebook Vera had given her on his desk. “V” gave me hernotes. Copy them later and return them to her. Remember to go to the infirmary to treat your hand.”

After speaking, Eileen left the classroom.

The two nearby students dared not make a sound, feeling that the menace in Elm’s eyes hadintensified. Speaking at this moment could be a fatal mistake.

Elm picked up the pink notebook, flipping it open to see the notes inside. It was indeed not Eileen’snotebook, and the first page had Vera’s name on it.

The notebook was ruthlessly torn in half in his hands. He threw it directly into the trash can without asecond thought.

When school was over, Eileen remained unaware that the notebook had been torn apart. However, rumors began to circulate in the adjacent class.

This time, the rumor was about Vera.

Eileen sat by the window near the corridor, listening to a few girls from Class Two discussing as theywent to the restroom together.

“Someone saw Vera’s notebook in the trash can today, and it was torn in half.

“Who knows what’s going on with them? Well, instead of worrying about them, I should. focus on howto handle the upcoming exam. Now that Elm is here, I’m finally not the last in class.”

Did Elm tear up Vera’s notes? Oh no!

Eileen turned her head, casting a glance at Vera who was sitting in the row behind her.

She was perplexed.

When the last class ended, Eileen went to Class Two.

Whenever it was time to leave, the cleaner had to wait until there were no teachers before cleaning.

When almost everyone had left, Vera put her hands behind her back and walked up to Eileen, unexpectedly taking out a bottle of milk. “I got an extra one for

“School’s over. Why aren’t you going home yet?”

you today.”

Eileen could tell that she was still oblivious to the fact that her notebook had been torn.

“It’s nothing. I’ll go a bit later.”

Vera nodded. “Oh, okay! Then I’ll leave first.”

Eileen said, “Okay.”

Vera left with a few others, getting ready for the after-school Olympiad Math Class. Alone, Eileen wentto Class Two. When the cleaner was about to take away the trash can, Eileen stopped her.

The cleaner looked at her strangely as she searched through the trash can.

Fortunately, the notebook wasn’t torn too badly, and the handwriting was still visible.

Eileen asked the cleaner for a plastic bag and put the notebook inside.

When will Elm change his temper? He tore up someone’s notebook without reason. What a waste.

As Eileen was about to leave, she heard a girl’s playful laughter from the corridor behind her. “Elm,where are we going later?”

“Where would you like to go?”

Eileen adjusted her slipping shoulder strap and turned around, only to see Elm with his arm around atall, innocent, and beautiful female student. Judging by her uniform, she should be from the sameschool. The two walked right past her.

“Eileen!” someone shouted. Walking towards her, the person said, “Mr. Gardner asked you to go to hisoffice.”

“Okay, got it.”

Eileen withdrew her gaze, unsurprised by his new girlfriend.

A man’s heart sure was a deep ocean of secrets.

After visiting the office and collecting the materials, she headed to the enrichment program.

Rather than calling it an enrichment program, it would be more accurate to call it a rigorous class.

Originally, it was three hours long, and she could go home at nine, but it was extended until half pastten.

Their teacher was an elderly man in his sixties or seventies, wearing reading glasses.

A test awaited them in the final hour and a half. Those unable to complete it were forbidden. to leave, and anyone who simply answered the questions would face the consequence of copying the questionsa hundred times. Even those who finished early were obliged to wait until half past ten before beingallowed to leave.

Eileen covered her mouth and yawned, completely unaware of the person outside the door.

“Ms. Eileen has it tough. She goes to school from seven until ten. Then, she has to do her. homeworkuntil midnight.”

Jasper peered through the window, his eyes crinkled up in laughter. “She’s just doing what she shouldat her age. She’s always been outstanding, right?”

Fabian nodded in agreement.

Some people were born with a natural talent for learning. Even if they did nothing, they would stillachieve the best results.

However, those who didn’t have innate talent could only rely on their own efforts.

Someone noticed the man outside.

It caused quite a commotion,

“Who is that?”

“Could it be Jasper Smith?”

“How can that be? Isn’t he the CEO of Smith Corporation? How could he possibly be here?”

The earichment program was attended not only by students from other schools but also by

those from schools in other regions who were unaware of certain things.

The CEO of Smith Corporation had been on the magazine cover as one of the ten most influentialfigures. His looks had attracted the attention of many.

Anyone who claimed they didn’t know him would be considered ignorant.

Usually, people like him were not easily seen.

Resting her hand against her forehead, Eileen squinted her eyes, taking a short nap. Upon hearing thesounds from the classroom, she curiously looked towards the door.

When she saw the person in the black suit outside the window, Eileen was stunned. Why is he

here?

Sitting on the podium, the teacher wearing glasses looked up and cleared his throat.

He expected them to quiet down, but someone took the lead and rushed out. “My idol!”

One after another, they ran out.

Eileen’s desk was almost knocked over in the commotion. Watching everyone run out, she wasgenuinely taken aback.

In just a few minutes, everyone was gone.

Eileen awkwardly received the thoughtful gaze of the teacher on the podium.

Who knew that his arrival would cause such a stir?

Gilbert instructed, “Submit your test, and you may leave once I have graded it.”

Eileen promptly handed in her paper. Turning around anxiously, she noticed that Elm had alreadyattracted a crowd. If it weren’t for his remarkable height, being the tallest among them, Eileen wouldhave struggled to locate him amidst the gathering.

“How did you end up in the enrichment program with these grades? Didn’t Jacob allow you to joindirectly?”

“Something happened earlier, so I took a break from school for a while. The Olympiad Math Class wasalready full, so i had no other option but to join the enrichment program.

“You’re just taking up a spot in the enrichment program.” Gilbert glanced at her name once. more. “Areyou Eileen Swan, the one who missed classes for half a month?”

“Mr. Campbell, I was ill and had to take a leave.”

“Alright, you may leave now’ Take your friend with you. Do not disrupt the class

“Yes, Mr. Campbell.”

Eileen swiftly gathered her belongings and slung her backpack over her shoulder. She maneuveredthrough the crowd and rescued Elm.
