Layla scrutinized Nancy from head to toe. “You remain unchanged as always. Our conversation endshere. Martha, see the guest out.” Her tone was firm and resolute, her eyes. revealing an unmistakableindifference and disdain.

Layla indeed had every reason to despise Nancy. If it weren’t for her, Jasper wouldn’t have suffered somuch and made so many wrong decisions while still in school.

Martha replied, “Yes, Old Mrs. Smith.”

Eileen gave a faint smile as she looked at the business card being handed to her. She felt it would beimpolite to refuse, so she took it. She then grabbed her workbook and promptly left the classroom.

Eileen went straight to the Olympiad Math Class’s laboratory building.

Right next to it was the dance studio, filled with rhythmic music. It seemed like someone was practicingin there.

Eileen could feel the vibration of the windows even from next door.

A group of boys and girls strolled down the hallway. From the window, someone noticed her inside theclassroom. Charlie recognized her. “Isn’t that Eileen? Why is she alone here? She’s known for being atop student, able to study peacefully no matter how noisy it gets.”
