Chapter 211

Chapter 211 Everyone Doesn’t Have To Come

Eileen remained oblivious to the fact that Jasper had nearly driven himself insane searching. for her, turning the entire Hulbury upside down in the process.

The first rays of dawn streamed through the window, casting light on the quiet, dilapidated buildingslining the street below. Vendors had already begun setting up their shops, and the enticing aroma offood wafted over from nearby.

Suddenly, several luxurious and expensive cars disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. One by one, theblack sedans came to a stop in front of the apartment building.

Richard said, “Ms. Eileen used to stay here for a while when she left home before. I believe she shouldbe here.”

Jasper hadn’t slept a wink all night. He couldn’t wait to get out of the car. As he looked at the extremelyrun-down housing environment around him, his brows furrowed deeply. How could she live in a placelike this?

The stairs on the platform were constantly shedding dust, giving the impression that the entire buildingtrembled with the slightest step.

This dwelling could already be considered a hazardous building, yet people were still living

in it.

Emerging from the bathroom, Eileen dried her hair and casually removed the soiled sofa cover from theprevious night. She tossed it into the basin to be cleaned.

It must have been the cold from yesterday that caused the splitting headache. Despite the incident thatoccurred last night, Eileen didn’t pay much attention to it and quickly fell back asleep.

She woke up that morning with a stuffy nose.

Ever since the surgery, Eileen felt that her physical condition wasn’t as good as before.

Just then, she heard a loud, persistent knocking at the door.

Eileen didn’t know who it was, so she walked over and opened it

Before Eileen could reart to the person at the door, she was suddenly tightly embraced Laleen pattedhis shoulder Jasper, you’re hurting me! Why are you here?”

When Jasper saw her he felt as if he had regained something precious that he had lost Tim sorry”

Eileen was a bit puzzled by his words. Looking at the others who had arrived at the same time, namelyFabian and Richard, she thought to herself, Does everyone really need to come

here?

After a long while, Jasper finally let her go.

Eileen fetched a new set of sofa covers, and everyone took a seat on the sofa. She poured a cup

of freshly boiled water for Jasper and placed it on the coffee table in front of him. Then, she sat downacross from him and said, “I’m sorry for making you all worry. I left school late yesterday, and it was abit troublesome to go home. So, I thought I’d stay here for the night. Jasper, didn’t you receive themessage I sent you?”

Jasper’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. He wasn’t in the habit of checking his messages. Ever since theygot together, Jasper’s messages and calls had been frequent. However, he indeed hadn’t received a

single message from her the night before.

Lost in thought, Jasper pinched the bridge of his nose. He was at a loss for words, his tone. betrayinghis confusion.

Fabian suddenly interjected, “Mr. Smith’s phone fell last night, so he might have missed somemessages, including yours, Ms. Eileen. However, when he tried to call you back, your phone wasswitched off.”

Eileen clutched her nightgown tightly, lowering her head. She had always been someone who didn’twant to cause trouble for others. Seeing Jasper’s bloodshot eyes, she felt a pang of guilt in her heart.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to worry you, I… I really am sorry for keeping you up all night. I’m okay now.You should hurry back and get some rest.”

At that moment, Eileen’s phone, which was placed on the table, began to ring. The name flashing onthe screen was Will.

Eileen quickly grabbed her phone. “I’m going to the balcony to take the call.

Jasper watched as she stood up and walked away. He was a possessive man. What he wanted fromher was not just her true feelings, but every part of her.

When it came to the phone call, he even wished for her to answer it in front of him.

He wanted to know every thing about her

After finishing her phone call, Eileen returned to replace that Fabian and Richard had already left Now itwas just the two of them in the cramped room

Noticing that her complexion wasn’t quite right. Jasper asked Is something wrong”

Eileen vaguely replied, “It’s nothing much. My father was asking about last night’s events. It’s

all settled now.”

In fact, she had received an earful from Will.

Anyone who had been scolded wouldn’t have a pleasant expression.

Eileen suggested, “Hey, I’ve made some oatmeal. Would you like to have some with me? There’s stillplenty of time. After eating, you can go back to sleep.”

Jasper looked deeply into her eyes. “Alright.”

After breakfast, she led him to her room.

She had tidied it up neatly, and the large doll on the bed was quite eye-catching.

Eileen had prepared a quilt for him. “This place isn’t as comfortable as your home, so please bear withit.”

Jasper asked, “While I’m sleeping, what are you going to do?”

Eileen replied, “There are still two hours left. I’ve already woken up. I’ll tidy up and go outside to do myhomework, so I won’t disturb you.”

Jasper grabbed her hand. “Stay with me for a while.”

Their eyes met, and although Eileen initially wanted to refuse, the thought that he had been searchingfor her all night caused her to give in and agree.

The two of them slept fully clothed, with Eileen’s back facing him. He then spooned his warm bodyagainst hers. She remained motionless, like a soft human-shaped doll.

Only after turning off the alarm for the third time did Eileen carefully get up. Seeing that he was stillsound asleep, she quietly put on her shoes and prepared to leave. Suddenly, a phone on the deskstarted to vibrate. But it wasn’t hers. It was Jasper’s.

The name flashing on the incoming call was Nancy.

This name sounded familiar, but Eileen couldn’t recall where she had heard it before.

She initially wanted to turn off the phone to prevent it from disturbing his sleep. But after some thought, she decided against it and took his phone outside.

She hurriedly walked out and upon reaching the entrance, she spotted Fabuan sitting on the couch.Noticing ideen’s emergence, Fabian stood up “Ms Fileen His eyes then landed on the mobile phoneshe was clutching

Eileen nodded, gesturing towards the closed door. She spoke softly, “He’s still asleep. Someone calledjust now. I took the call outside to avoid disturbing him. Could you check if it’s an important call?”

Fabian took the phone. “Actually, you could have answered it.”

Eileen didn’t say much. She glanced at the time and said, “I’m heading to class now.”

Fabian offered, “Let me accompany you!”

“No need. I’ll be there in a few minutes on foot. You stay here and take care of him. You didn’t get muchrest last night, so you can lie down here for a while. I’m afraid you’ll have to make do with the couchthough.”

Fabian nodded. “Don’t worry about it.”

As Eileen departed, Fabian looked at the incoming call again, his brows deeply furrowed.

This woman has truly sunk to the lowest of lows. Even after deleting the message Ms. Eileen sent toMr. Smith, she can still call him as if nothing happened.
