Chapter 132

Dizzy from the pain, the man held the camera high with a trembling hand.

He spun around in place before falling heavily to the ground.

Everything happened so quickly that these men were caught completely off guard.

They even didn't notice anyone approaching.

Easton glared coldly, his lips pressed into a thin line, exuding a fierce aura.

He bent down, took the camera from the man's hand, removed the memory card, and handed it to Xavier.

The man looked anxious after his card was snatched away. Ignoring his pain, he struggled to get up and try to retrieve it, but Easton kicked him back to the ground.

"You... mind your own business and give me back my stuff," he yelled at Easton, his eyes glinting with a menacing light.

Easton's eyes were veiled with a shadowy look.

"Are you looking for trouble?" Easton handed the camera to the police officer.

The police came forward and arrested the five men.

Easton looked at Xavier and said, "Go with them and replace more evidence. I want to make sure they never get out."

Easton's handsome face was calm, but those who knew him could tell he was out of rage.

Xavier nodded and followed the police.

Natalie said, "Luna, you go with them. I don't trust him."

Easton trembled slightly upon hearing this.

He turned around just as Luna finished adjusting Natalie's clothes.

"Right, I don't trust you. I'm grateful you saved me tonight, but the card is in Xavier's hand. You've always conspired with Jennifer to set me up, so I'll never trust you.

"I don't have any proof about what happened tonight, but I hope you have nothing to do with it."

Easton's heart throbbed with a sharp pain as he thought, 'Before I didn't trust her. Now, she doesn't trust me.

'So this is how it feels to be wrongfully accused. It's truly unbearable.

Natalie's suspicion about Easton was genuine. No one knew better than her how significant Jennifer was in Easton's heart.

Luna comforted her, "Ms. Shawn, let me take you to the hospital first. Then I'll head over to the police station."

"Okay." Natalie was too weak to walk; she needed to go to the hospital as she didn't have the antidote.

Easton walked over to Natalie and squatted down to look at her.

Natalie lay there weakly, her eyes filled with distrust of Easton. His gaze paused as he was shocked by how she guarded him, and he spoke with a heavy tone, "Natalie, why don't you trust me?"

"I'm sorry, but you've done nothing to earn my trust. Plus, you never keep your word. You said you wanted a divorce. I agreed, yet you went back on it. You followed me here and took the memory card. Isn't that just to keep me from discovering the truth?" Natalie never expected Easton would come.

Now that Murray was here, Natalie would have another helper,

Though shocked by Easton's behavior, Natalie didn't want to get involved with him.

She thought, 'I was given another chance at life. All I want is to cut ties with Easton, save my three brothers' lives, and protect Lambert and his hard work over these years.'

"Easton, my kindness wasn't paid back, so I let it grow thorns. The one who raised me, the one I trusted most, told me not to trust anyone. I didn't get it then. But after being hurt by all of you, now I understand. I don't even trust myself anymore."

'So how can I trust you?' Natalie thought, her cool gaze carried a hint of a smile as she looked at Easton, clearly signaling her rejection.

Easton furrowed his brow, seeing the tears glisten in her eyes. He didn't say a word but bent down and wrapped her up, letting the police officer carry Murray.

On their way back to town, Easton drove Natalie and Murray to the hospital.

Luna and Xavier went along.

Murray leaned weakly, growling in frustration, "Natalie, this medicine is too strong. I still haven't regained any strength."

Natalie was just as exhausted.

"It won't wear off until tomorrow morning. Sorry, I got you into this tonight. Even though I was prepared, I still made you suffer with me."

Murray chuckled, his charming face full of gentleness. "Natalie, why are you saying sorry? You were targeted only because you came to save me."

Natalie smiled. "I promised Emma I'd get you out. I always knew someone might plot against you, so I had people following you. That's why I have evidence. I hope you're not upset.

"I feel for Emma. She's been respected all her life. If anything happened to you, she'd be distressed.

"Last time, it was her trust in me that prevented Jennifer's plot from succeeding. Out of gratitude, I did what I had to do. I hope you're not mad at me for it."

"Silly, I'm not mad. I can't thank you enough." Murray tried to reach out to Natalie, but he was too weak.

Easton was sitting in the driver's seat, listening to their conversation.

There was a hint of fury in his eyes as he thought, 'It's no wonder the bar's surveillance was destroyed, yet Natalie had a video proving Murray's innocence.

'It turns out she had someone secretly following Murray!

Easton looked at Natalie through the rearview mirror, meeting her clear, cold gaze.

On the way, Natalie and Murray fell asleep.

She liked standing by the window, looking out over the bustling villa district, feeling a sense of superiority from this lofty height.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated. Jennifer quickly picked it up, her beautiful eyes lighting up with excitement as she saw the caller ID.

"How's it?"

"Ms. Simpson, things aren't looking good. Natalie was rescued and taken to the hospital. Our people were captured, and we saw in the video that Murray was involved."

Jennifer was furious, fear flickered in her eyes. "What? Who told you to provoke that big shot?"

She knew Murray was not a man to be trifled with.

"Ms. Simpson, they didn't recognize Murray. Natalie had dinner with him tonight. They were both drugged and kidnapped. Don't worry. Storm Alliance would never betray a client. Even if Natalie suspects us, she has no evidence. "While Murray was out of the picture, we managed to snatch one of his deals. Ms. Simpson, can we make up for our mistakes with this?"
