Chapter 250

Natalie turned around suddenly and saw Easton standing there.

Easton pulled Natalie behind him, stepped forward, and knocked the other two men to the ground with quick, ruthless precision, leaving them no chance to fight back. Even Natalie was surprised by Easton's combat skills. She wondered, 'Is he always this skilled?"

The three men lay sprawled on the ground, their fearful gaze fixed on the imposing figure of Easton, whose countenance was as foreboding as a specter from the underworld. The sudden turn of events left the three men shocked, trembling with fear.

Watching Easton's precise punches, Natalie was caught off guard. She wondered when he learned those skills.

That was when Natalie realized she might not know Easton as well as she thought.

Easton didn't have to like her just because she liked him.

However, Easton shouldn't have sided with the Simpson family and Jennifer when they were plotting against Natalie.

Easton pulled out his phone and straightaway called the police.

The three men were in tears, and one of them cried, "Man, I'm still in college. I can't have a criminal record. Please let me go. If I get a record, how will I replace a job later?"

Easton gazed at him with a cold stare and remarked, "You're aware that having a criminal record is not an option for you, yet you chose to jeopardize your future. If you end up with a record, you'll have only yourself to blame." The man fell silent.

He was paralyzed with fear, curled up on the ground, too scared to speak because of the pain and afraid of Easton's fists.

Easton hit them too hard, and they couldn't fight back at all.

Easton turned to look at Natalie, whose eyes were still red from crying. Feeling a mix of distress and irritation, he mockingly said, "Didn't you claim we live in a law-abiding society where it's safe?

"Natalie, don't you see that your appearance could put you in danger? Perhaps you should stay in at night and avoid causing trouble with that alluring face."

Natalie glared at Easton angrily, thinking, 'So it's my fault for being beautiful.'

"Thanks for helping me," Natalie said, too tired to argue with Easton.

Now she understood the best form of revenge: to remain silent, ignore him, and respond to aggression with equal force.

Easton frowned and asked, "Do you really have to be so polite?"

Natalie lifted her eyes, her lashes stuck together with tears.

Easton frowned, pondering, 'She really cries a lot; she must have been terrified. I was too late.

Natalie said, "Oh. We're not close, so it's only right to be polite."

Easton was taken aback, realizing he had said those words to Natalie before.

He sneered, "Oh, so now you're being clever, using my own wors against me Natalie remained silent.

Easton hated this version of Natalic. The old Natalie used to talk lot in front of him.

Ever since Jennifer came back, things between Easton and Natale had gotten worse.

Now, they could hardly stand the sight of each other.

Natalie still didn't speak, and Easton was getting frustrated. "Why aren't you saying anything?" he asked.

Natalie glanced down, her face showing no emotion. "I don't engage with those who are blind both literally and metaphorically," she remarked.

Easton pursed his lips, and when the patrol officers came by, he explained the situation to them, and the three men were taken away.

One of the men had a face swollen like a pig's. He glared at Easton and shouted, "Bro, I didn't even lay a finger on her. Why did you beat me up so badly? Will my girlfriend even want me looking like this?" The man was dragged away, bawling and cursing.

Easton didn't even glance at the man. He turned to Natalie and said, "I'll drive you you to study abroad."

back. I've found a few great colleges for

Natalie had never been to college, and the Simpson family always brought it up to criticize her. Easton believed studying abroad was her best option.

However, Natalie was taken aback. Staring at Easton, she sneered, "Easton, it seems you never really understood me. I'm way ahead of you, Easton.

"I advanced through grades quickly in school and finished college by the age of 17. By 18, I had already earned dual degrees in integrated traditional and modern medicine from both an international and a domestic medical institution. "During the two years I was caring for you, right here under your nose, I also completed another dual master's degree in design from a prestigious international design university.

"Easton, we lived together for two years, yet you never made the effort to truly kno beyond your comprehension."

1. me. So, Easton, my level of expertise is

Then Natalie took out her phone, displaying several university diplomas, and said, "Take a good look at the number of certificates and scholarships this girl from an impoverished town has earned over the years, despite your condescension." Natalie was afraid that Easton would send her abroad.

In the past, Easton had this plan because he didn't want Natalie to interfere with his good times with Jennifer:

That was why Natalie was desperately avoiding being sent away

Right now, Natalie couldn't compete with Easton. She needed time to grow.

Easton glanced at her phone and said with a sneer, "Natalie, do you think I don't know your worth? During those two years you took care of me, besides exploring food, what else did you do? "Maybe Jennifer did scheme against you a bit, but you're naturally a liar anyway.

"Is it really that hard to admit you're a loser?"

Natalie asked tearfully, Easton, is it really so hard for you to acknowledge how talented I am?"

Natalie realized that Easton didn't believe what she said.

Easton truly didn't believe her. He even had someone look into Natalie's past. Her background seemed spotless-she grew up in a poor town, and she was brought to the Garcia residence all muddy. Easton remarked, "Natalie, I know you've been upset about being set up, but becoming a better person is the best way forward.

"I've already reached out to some universities abroad..."

Natalie interrupted him, "Shut up! Who do you think you are to boss me around in my life?"

Natalie shot Easton a warning glance. Seeing Luna's car arriving she opened the door and got in.

Easton watched as the car disappeared into the distance, standing there with a dark expression.

Easton was aware that Natalie had knowledge of medicine, but her expertise was not as extensive as she professed.

He believed she was a talented designer and her work was truly impressive.

Easton turned around, got into the car by the roadside, and drove back to the Gracie residence. Despite his earlier anger, he was genuinely worried about her safety, which was why he followed Natalie. Now that the danger had passed, he felt relieved.

Natalie returned home, took a warm bath, and lay on her bed, thinking about Easton's words. She almost broke down. Natalie thought, 'He's arrogant and selfish. Why should I let a jerk's words affect me and hurt my health?' "Ugh..." Natalie groaned, rolling around on her bed in pain.

"Damn Easton!" Natalie cursed and turned over again, eventually rolling off onto the floor.

She stood up, looked out the window, and chuckled bitterly to herself, saying, "Why am I so upset? As long as I know how great I am, that's all that matters."

Natalie took a deep breath, pushing down the sadness in her heart.

She closed her eyes, but the tears streamed down nonstop.

It still hurt a lot.

Natalie wondered, 'Who said if you tilt your head up, the tears won't fall?

She had closed her eyes, but she still felt heartbroken.
