Chapter 362

Camellia felt truly scared of Maris. Unlike Wendy, who acted pred but was gentle, Maris was fierce and went after anything she cared about-especially after catching Camellia before.

Camellia shook her head quickly and begged, "Maris, the last time was a misunderstanding. Please don't misread my intentions. I have nothing to do with Colin; the only man I've ever loved is Nick." Nick was once again pulled into the situation to act as a shield.

Maris smirked and chose not to push further, knowing she had better entertainment planned. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry for the scene you just witnessed. The dining room is full of delicious food; come inside." Camellia was shocked that Maris had chosen to drop the issue. She knew well that Maris rarely let things go.

She looked at her daughter, only to see Jennifer filled with embarrassment, dizzy from the humiliation like never before.

Easton felt awkward too, as the guests around him threw sidelong glances his way.

Natalie, feeling detached, sent a wave of despair through Easton's heart as he remembered her harsh words. It was clear that Natalie wanted their downfall to replace relief.

Wendy bowed her head, her eyes glinting with malicious delight.

Jennifer longed to call her mentally unstable, but that was just a pointless dream. There were bigger events waiting for Jennifer.

This was just a warm-up; the higher Jennifer climbs, the harder Jennifer can fall. Wendy had a splendid surprise for Jennifer when her film came out.

As they entered the hall, Jennifer was startled to replace Natalie there, having seen the earlier chaos.

Jennifer's friend Nora walked up to her and smiled, "Jennifer, I saw everything. Don't worry; Natalie won't be able to enjoy her victory for long."

Seeing Natalie made Jennifer's eyes blaze with hatred. She thought, 'What right did Natalie have to be at such an event?'

Turning to Nora, Jennifer said, "You know it's always Natalie causing trouble, especially since she's been cozying up with Murray."

Jennifer knew that Nora wanted to marry Murray.

With Natalie's closeness to him, disaster was sure to come.

Nora stepped in front of Natalie with a haughty look and a mocking tone. "Natalie, this is a party hosted by the Wayne family; not just anyone can be here."

Nora caught everyone's attention.

Wendy glanced at Natalie, who wore an elegant black dress that highlighted her beautiful figure, making her skin glow. Her eyes sparkled like a calm lake; indeed, her daughter was stunning. But now, Natalie wouldn't give Wendy a glance. Easton frowned, positioning himself protectively in front of Natalie.

A wave of anxiety flickered in Jennifer's eyes; if Easton revealed their relationship, her status as the other woman would be

clear.

At Jennifer's birthday party, few noticed the bond between Easton and Natalie; they had kept their marriage a secret. Besides

their families, almost no one knew that Natalic was Easton's wife

Yet, Natalic pushed Easton aside, whispering. "Jennifer is watching. Why are you standing in front of me? Do you want to ruin my reputation?" Easton shot her a cold look. "Natalic, you..."

Natalie rose slightly on her toes and whispered, "Don't rush it. The moment isn't right yet; when it is, I'll make sure you both trend online, tied together.

"Now isn't the time. Don't mess with my plans, or I can't guarantee my reaction. If I reveal Jennifer's position as the mistress now and the Garcia Group can handle the public backlash, I won't hesitate."

Suddenly, Easton realized something: Natalic once wanted him to acknowledge their relationship publicly, yet now she wanted to keep it a secret.

A deep unease filled his heart.

Natalie looked at Nora with indifference. "Who are you?"

With an air of superiority, Nora replied, "Nora Lewis."

Natalie thought for a moment before shaking her head. "I don't know you."

Nora's face turned pale; she was usually well-known among their circle.

Jennifer stepped in kindly. "Natalie, Nora just wants to help with the party. We can't let dishonest people come among us

Natalie raised an eyebrow, studying Jennifer's overly sweet demeanor and feeling a wave of nausea. She smiled and replied, "What if they do?"

Jennifer was bewildered by Natalie's newfound confidence and remained shocked at her transformation.

At that moment, Natalie was captivating, her stylish black gown showing off her smooth skin. Her lips gleamed with a deep red color, and her flawless skin looked almost perfect-like a beautiful rose, giving off a lovely scent. Jennifer tried to hide her jealousy and forced a smile, saying, "There have been incidents of unknown people trying to poison guests at the party. Tonight's guests are wealthy, so we must be careful."

"Is that why you are harassing me? Jennifer, I know she's your friend. Isn't your style to use your friends to attack me? I should congratulate Nora; she will soon be your weapon."

Jennifer's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe Natalie would say such things. "Natalie, you can't be as deranged as your mother, can you? Why do you make such wild accusations?"

Nora, unconvinced that Jennifer could harm her, replied, "Natalie, keep your dirty tricks to yourself, or don't blame me for being harsh. Rubbish should go back where it belongs."

Nora jabbed a finger into Natalie's chest, a smug smile on her face.

Wendy was nothing, just a forsaken daughter with no standing to confront anyone here.

Natalie's eyes sparkled with menace. As Nora jabbed her finger again, Natalie grabbed it sharply and twisted.

Nora cried out. "Help! It hurts!"
