Chapter 375

After her performance, Natalie cheekily stuck her tongue out at Easton.

Easton's eyes were blazing red with anger, feeling empty inside. He clenched his fists tightly, veins popping on the back of his hand, and his throat moved up and down.

His voice was icy. He spit out words without thinking, "You really can't compare to her. At least she knows how to be charming."

Natalie's heart ached a bit. Her gaze turned darker as she mocked herself: "Yeah, how can I compete with your pristine Jennifer?"

Seeing the pain in Natalie's eyes, Easton was taken aback. Acting on impulse, he hurt her again. He quickly said, "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way."

Natalie replied, "Alright, whatever you mean, I know Jennifer's irreplaceable to you, so just divorce me and live happily ever after with your perfect girl."

Natalie took a deep breath and continued, "For me, youthful ignorance and stubbornness against my family's advice kept me entangled with you for so long. Now I'm ready to turn back and won't bother your life anymore." She felt a bit helpless, thinking, 'Why is it that Easton is getting harder and harder to communicate with? She ignored the sharp pain in her heart and lay down to sleep.

Easton's heart was full of prickling pain, like being poked with needles. He intently watched Natalie's retreating figure. He didn't mind if Natalie continued to interrupt his life.

Emma stood at the door, watching the three people inside. She narrowed her eyes, thinking, 'Easton previously treated Jennifer like a treasure. Does he discover Natalie's appeal now?'

To be honest, Emma liked Natalie. Natalie was the same age as Murray, and they got along quite well. Sometimes, Emma wished Natalie could be with Murray through it all.

Emma gave a slight shake of her head. She thought, 'Let things happen naturally. Forced things never turn out sweet. It's their destiny.'

Natalie fell asleep lying face down. She was really tired. On a snowy day, she truly loved to sleep. She hated being dragged out of her warm bed.

Easton laughed in disbelief hearing Natalie's steady breathing. He thought, 'How could she fall asleep under such circumstances? Does she truly believe Murray won't do anything to her? Does she trust Murray deep down?' Thinking about earlier, Natalie didn't trust him and had securely locked the door, Easton's expression became cold.

Noticing Natalie uncomfortable in her sleep, Easton stood up and walked over. Then, he found Murray still uneasily holding Natalie's hand as sleeping. At that moment, he wanted to cut off Murray's hand.

Easton thought, 'How dare he hold my wife's hand?' He was startled by that thought. He had started to consider Natalie his wife now.

Easton's phone kept vibrating as Jennifer called him non-stop. Ignoring the calls, he just switched his phone to silent mode. He forcefully pried Murray's hand away. Murray shifted slightly but didn't open his eyes. Easton shot Murray a cold glare and carefully lifted Natalie into his arms. He placed her gently on the sofa beside him, rested her head on his knee, and pulled a nearby blanket over her to make sure she was comfortable. Natalie turned over. She wrapped her arms around Easton's waist and continued to sleep soundly, completely unaware of

her situation.

As the early hours approached, her sleep deepened. She clearly thought of Easton as a personal heater.

Easton was slightly taken aback. The gentle touch of Natalie's hand made his whole body tense. His heart raced out of rhythm, the pounding so loud he could hear it himself. This was a feeling he had never experienced before. Easton looked down in disbelief at Natalie, who was sleeping soundly in his arms. She seemed genuinely exhausted. He found himself irresistibly fond of this feeling. Holding her made his heart feel completely full.

After secretly sharing a bed with Natalie twice, Easton noticed that she slept deeply at night. Although she sometimes kicked off the blanket or turned over, she seemed completely unaware of what was going on around her. Easton shook his head slightly, thinking that someone as clueless as Natalie wouldn't even realize if she got kidnapped in the middle of the night..

At that moment, the usually indifferent Easton had a subtle change in his deep, mysterious eyes, showing hints of affection. Natalie woke up to replace that it was already 7 a.m. As she opened her eyes, she saw Easton. She was a bit startled, wondering what had happened. She quickly sat up, realizing she had shifted positions while sleeping.

As soon as Natalie moved, Easton woke up too.

Natalie asked with shock, "How did I end up sleeping here?"

Easton looked at her with disdain, his eyes turning colder. In a deeper tone, he asked, "Where did you want to sleep then? On Murray's bed?"

Natalie replied, "How could it be!" She sat up, rubbing her sore shoulders. She had a restless night, feeling like she might be getting sick.

"I was sleeping fine over there. Did you bring me here?" Natalie asked as she glared at Easton, feeling no gratitude at all. Easton furrowed his brows but didn't say anything. His voice was rough as he said, "Let's go. It's time to head back." Natalie looked at Murray, who was still asleep. She said, "You go back first. I'll follow later." She didn't want to share the same car with Easton.

Easton had an important meeting this morning. William's illegitimate kids were causing trouble again, so he had to go to the company today.

He asked, "Will Murray be afraid even during the day? Why do you need to keep watch here all the time?" His expression was arrogant, and his gaze was colder than usual.

Natalie knew he was upset again, but she didn't want to ride with him. She replied, "Mr. Garcia, everyone knows you're quick and observant. Didn't you realize I don't want to leave with you?"

Easton asked, "So do you want to stay here with Murray?" The chill in his voice was frightening, his eyes like frozen ice, with no warmth at all.

Natalie was speechless. She thought, 'He is really difficult to handle.

Thinking of something, Natalie said, "Mr. Garcia, why is your mind always in the gutter? There's nothing between Mu

You spend all day thinking of ridiculous things. Can't you just be normal for once?"

Easton was taken aback; it seemed he had said those words to her a year ago. He said, "Natalie, you..."

Natalie interrupted him, "What's wrong, Mr. Garcia? If you can say these things, why can't I?"

Back then, she had said, "Easton, everyone thinks Jennifer is your wife. Can't you keep some distance from her?" Easton had answered her just like that a moment ago.

Easton took a deep breath and didn't argue. He thought, 'Will she finally stop bringing up the past once she gets her revenge?'

Suppressing his anger, he said, "I'll leave the car for you. You can head back on your own later. Be careful. I noticed someone following you last night, so stay in busy areas and go home early. He walked away after saying that. Natalie was taken aback to know someone had been following her last night.
