Chapter 119: Something Fell Off

LOCATION: CHEVALIER HOUSEHOLD MANOR

Everyone looked at Francis who unleashed an unknown raw power coming from him and that raw power of his isn't something that the people inside the office are quite familiar with his power.

'Well, of course. They weren't familiar with [Shadow Energy] since this is one of the abilities that my other mentor taught me about it. It's different from bloodline powers of this continent.'

"W-wait. Your power…. Isn't that…. a [CIMMERIAN BLOODLINE]?"

Francis snapped from his thoughts as he looked at the young Count who looks back at him with a perplexed expression on his face and frowns at him while looking at the power he unleashed.

'Oh? He thought that this was a Cimmerian Bloodline? Hmmm…. Well, they do have similarities from that bloodline power but it's not it.'

Francis shook off his head and said; "No, it's not. I'll explain this later but for now, we have more important matters that needs to focus on than this one."

After he said that, the young Count could only nod reluctantly but what Francis said is the true anyway and this is not the time to dwell on this matter for now as those intruders keeps on attacking the household and the other Elite Knights are still fighting on the outside.

"I'll join the battle as well!"

Everyone snapped as they looked at the person who shouted and it was none other than their master's other guest, Lorraine.

Harrison, on one hand, frowned and said; "But Lady Lorraine…."

His sentence were cut off when Lorraine interrupted him and said her piece; "I might not be able any help within the frontlines that much however, I know how to protect myself since I have taken martial combat classes back at the academy and not only that, but I have also participated in most of the school's mission outside and already have a real-time experience so I am confident that I won't be a burden to all of you."

Lorraine stepped forward as she looked at the people around her and raised her one hand as translucent sparks of light appeared within their eyes and the woman's radiant ginger-colored eyes became even more shinier than ever and the others who had witnessed it couldn't help but to admire at the sight in front of them.

For that moment, the Elite Knights, together with their Captain Hizar, who were mostly worn-out because of the battle from earlier before they went to search for their masters, noticed how their fatigues from earlier had rejuvenated the moment those translucent lights happened to touch them.

Not only that, but their minor injuries from the battle earlier immediately healed as well and all of them looked at the young woman who shines even more brighter.

"Ah! What's happening?"

"My wounds! It healed!"

"My fatigue seemed to be refreshed all of the sudden!"

"Who is she, by the way?"

"I think I have heard about her! Isn't she the one who awakened the rare bloodline power?"

"Really? That's her?! I never would have thought that we could meet her like this!"

All of them whispered with each other and Lorraine just smiled at all of them, and then she looked over at the other four people who looked back at her with different kinds of expression that the young woman didn't know how to describe in her own sentence, but she couldn't bother about it.

Since right now, she needs to convince these people to let her join the fight and besides, she needs to prove to them that she wasn't a burden, and she could stand up on her own.

'I don't want to be like myself in the previous timeline where I could only depend on others and couldn't have a backbone to fight for myself! I want to be acknowledged by others with my own strength and not to become like some sort of decoration for others!'

When she regained her memories and her self-awareness around her, she felt useless and couldn't accept such humiliation that brought upon to herself by being a puppet for that corrupted God who shackled her like a string to his own amusement.

Now that she had gained her freedom and herself, Lorraine wouldn't let others dictate her own life and she would prove that she isn't useless and only needs to be protected.

Just because she awakened a rare bloodline doesn't mean that she would be on the sidelines and be protected by the others. Lorraine found a way for her bloodline powers to be useful not only in healing but in other properties as well and she also trained herself to fight and incorporate her powers as well.

"And besides, with me here, as someone who unofficially got a nicknamed of [Martial Priestess], my duty is to make sure that within the battlefield, I'll make sure that no one would fall down into my field of vision! That's my declaration! I swear upon my name and my bloodline on that!"

The situation outside of the Chevalier household manor, especially at the manor's main building became even more chaotic because of these unknown intruders who just happened to launch a terrorist attack at broad daylight.

'Something's not right about here. Who would in their right mind to outright launch a terrorist attack at our household in broad daylight and not only that, here at the central region where most of the noble households resides?'

Altron thought as he kept on fighting and slashing the intruders in black clothed while looking around his surroundings.

"Your Grace! Watch out!"

He snapped from his thoughts and was about to counterattack when someone's silhouette managed to defeat the person who would sneak attack at him and then Altron looked at the person who had done it and it was none other than Lorraine herself.

The young woman looked at the person who dared tried to sneak attack at the Marquis and then, the woman used much force to punch the attacker with all her might that blood had splat around her and that makes her look gorier than others.

'Phew! She became even stronger than before. Who would have thought that this woman who was known for her gentleness would have such personality such as this? If her fellow students back at the academy had known this, they would surely be scared off and wouldn't dare to provoke this woman at all.'

"Your Grace! How come you daze in the middle of the battle! This is not the time to strategize!"

Altron raised an eyebrow at Lorraine who scolded him for what happened and just shook off his head and then frowned.

Lorraine, who had noticed the sudden change of demeanor of the person in front of her, frowns and then, sighed as she asked; "You also feel it that something wasn't right either, right?"

Altron looked at her and nodded as he said; "As expected from my student. Yes, that's correct. I replace it hard to believe that these intruders would just launch an attack in broad daylight. These intruders had some other agendas other than terrorizing the Chevaliers."

These intruders had the nerve to launch a terrorist attack to the Chevaliers inside the Central Region where the Capital city of Crux were situated and the home of the Stellarus Royal family at the center foremost of the region.

'It's as if someone is trying to….'

Altron snapped from his thoughts as his eyes widen in shock at the mere conclusion that he thought and then looked back at Lorraine as the young woman had a perplexed expression on her face.

"I think I know what they were after. Follow me."
