Chapter 62: Meeting Along the Way

"Sir Eclipse, would that be enough?"

Eclipse didn't look at his companion as he watched the commotion that's happening right now.

'They look like ants that scattered to look for food resources. Well, I hope this could work though.'

He thought as he watched the scene where an "accident" happened and the knights who were responsible for the safety of their master are now scattered on that dangerous cliff to replace the [missing] Third Young Master of the Chevalier household whose carriage had straight towards at the end of the cliff when the horses who pulled for the carriage suddenly got out of control.

Eclipse just shrugged off his shoulder as he turned back and left that place and his companion only took one good look at the commotion and then left with Eclipse.

"You're truly the definition of a heartless person. I saw how that older brother of yours do his best to compensate you for whatever you need but this is how you repay him?"

Eclipse halted his movement for a minute and then looked at his companion who keeps on blabbering nonsense just like how she used to be.

"It seems like your getting comfortable with me that you can just keep on blabbering things like that…. Rheina Clandestine?"

Eclipse said in a cold voice as he stared at Rheina with his usual stoic expression plastered on his face that makes the woman knew that she had screw up once more.

'Geez! If someone saw this kid, no one would dare to say that he is just a child but rather, someone would call him demon already because of how heartless he is!'

Eclipse; "I already told you that I don't want to have anything to do with that household. Since this incident happened and if words got reached to the First Young Master, especially, to the current Marquis then, my days as an illegitimate half-noble child will be no more."

After he said those, Rheina felt a sudden magic coming from the young man and after that, she noticed that the young man's usual strawberry-colored hair changes its color and it become somewhat like snow-colored hair and his cyan-colored eyes that he inherited from his father, the Marquis, changes its color as well and it became a jeweled lilac-colored eyes.

'W-wow! What a transformation! It truly suits him well!'

Rheina looks astonished because of what Eclipse had done to his appearance; "You sure truly belong to a Magician's bloodline family, don't you? Don't tell me… the Asterrix family are household of Magicians that went into hiding?"

After the transformation was completed, Eclipse sighed as he heard what Rheina stated and just ignored her for now.

'Haist! Here we go again. Well, there's no point on explaining things for her.'

The two of them managed to get away from the commotion that happened and since Eclipse had already changed his outfit as he disregarded the ones he wears, that outfit would make a perfect prop for that incident.

'It will reach the capital city about the ill-tragic fate of the Third Young Master of the Chevalier household.'

Now, no one would be able to recognize him since his usual strawberry-colored hair that he inherited from his dear mother is the trademark for the Third Young Master Ezekiel that was known within the Empire.

'Although I wanted to keep that hair color but if I wanted to hide my identity then, it will be better for me to have a different hair and eye color. We need to get out of this empire first before I proceed then.'

Eclipse looked at Rheina as he forgot to ask something else.

"How's your brother, by the way?"

Rheina immediately looked at him and from there, before she had a desperate expression underneath her calm façade that she keeps on portraying but right now, the woman had a relax yet anxious expression written on his face.

Eclipse didn't wait for her response as he said; "Your brother was alright now since you already delivered the elixir for him but at the same time, the problem now lies with that traitor, am I right?"

Rheina, who knew how the young man's mind works, just sighed because she knew that Eclipse would see through her and even if she lied, Eclipse would still know.

"Well, nothing could escape within your grasp, isn't? My brother's condition went well and all thanks to your help… well, cooperation though."

She paused for a moment before she continued; "However, my brother's condition still needs to remain in secrecy for a moment since according to one of my trusted subordinates who reported back to me, it seems like Thesus Yor is now making his move right now. We don't know much about the details, but I bet this would involve the Crown Prince."

Eclipse click his tongue in annoyance when he heard what Rheina said, and it didn't surprise him if that b*stard of a Crown Prince would be involve.

"Of course, if the Crown Prince will involve then, it's harder for us on how to deal with it."

Rheina, who almost looked like defeated, slumped her shoulder as he said; "Then, what should we do?"

Eclipse looked back at her and said; "Let them be, for now. Just make sure your brother's condition should be kept in secrecy no matter what happens."

Rheina nodded with a firm determination; "Yes, I know, and our granduncle would take care of everything from there, but I know it won't take that long however, I believe in him."

Eclipse just nodded as he thinks further.

'Tsk! Things would be a lot harder to handle that I imagine. Knowing Alois' personality, if he knew that someone tried to manipulate or even the slightest thing that would ruin his plans then, I won't be surprised if he dispatch [those] people for a hunting.'

From the system archive and from Eclipse's vague memories, if the Sympherux are for the Empire and His Royal Majesty, the Emperor for them to summoned and take control of them, then on the Crown Prince's side, who happened to have his own version of Sympherux, however, they were a lot more brutal than the Sympherux.

Or to be precisely, more likely these two groups are almost the same but with different principles since both have different owners.

The Sympherux's job was to take over the "darker side" and would only do the cleanup if legal processes weren't carried out properly according to the Empire's law.

On the other hand, the Crown Prince's version of Sympherux were called [OREXTHON].

Orexthon is a group of hunting dogs under the Crown Prince's faction and their job was none other than to carry out the Crown Prince's orders and nothing else.

They were most likely a group of assassins, similar mostly to Arcanum De Fleur of Clandestine clan and those people who takes human lives are nothing but a sort of entertainment for them.

As for how Eclipse knew about Orexthon? Simple.

'That's because those b*stards are the ones who tortured him back in his previous life! Tsk! Just thinking about those mother*ckers would make my blood boil in anger!'

He wouldn't forget the humiliation and torture that he experience within their hands and if he were given the chance then, he would take revenge to them!

'However, right now, that shouldn't be my priority. Since I have help Rheina with his brother's condition by giving her the [Dawn of Tears] elixir then, the next thing we should do right now is to prepare to take down Thesus Yor.'

But how would they be able to do that if that b*stard Thesus Yor has the backing of the Crown Prince?

That makes Eclipse almost startled because of Silver's sudden statement through his mind.

'What the f*ck?! Must you give me a heart attack like that?! Can't you give me a warning before you suddenly speak like that?! Geez!'

« Apologies, Host. Silver didn't know that Host has a heart since Host is the most cruel and heartless being that Silver encountered. »

Eclipse; "…."

That left him speechless because of what Silver said to him and if Silver had a body appearance right now, Eclipse won't hesitate to smack the hell out of that system with his own hands!

'Did you just mock me right in front of my face, Silver?'

Eclipse gritted his teeth in anger as he communicate with Silver through his mind since Silver is now housing there for now as the system still couldn't transform itself.

« Answering, Host. No, Silver is only telling the truth since Silver is the most honest system companion for the Host since from what Silver remembered that Host hated dishonest people or beings. »

'This f*cker! Haist! Although Silver can perceive human emotions but sometimes Silver couldn't utilize those emotions properly or much to say was… Silver only knows the meaning of those emotions but didn't know how to apply to itself.'

He didn't want to argue with Silver with this nonsense as he remembered what Silver stated earlier.

'Back on the topic, Silver. You said that I should throw a bait to the Crown Prince so that it will serve as a distraction for him not to assist Thesus Yor for taking over the Clandestine clan?'

« Yes, that's correct, Host. »

'And how do we plant a bait then?'

Before Eclipse could hear Silver's suggestion, he noticed that Rheina immediately went over to his front to cover for him, and she took out her weapon as she became alerted with their surroundings.

"Rheina, just what in the…."

Before he could finish his sentence, Eclipse's sight immediately went over to looked at the person who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and he noticed how Rheina became aggressive because of the sudden appearance of the newcomer.

However, as Eclipse looked at the newcomer's appearance and he gasped.

"Arico, what are you doing in here?"
