Chapter 1399 She Brought Him Into This

A wave of sadness hit Kisa when she heard what Kelvin said. After all, she was the one who brought him into this mess.

'What would Gracie do if anything happened to him?"

Kisa tried her best to stay calm and took out her phone to turn on the flashlight.

Everyone then remembered that they had their phones on them when they saw Kisa do that. One of them immediately tried to call the fire department, but there was no signal after the place started to crumble.

BOOM!

BOOM! BOOM!

More and more bricks and stones fell from above. The basement seemed like it would be buried in no time. The people ran toward the hall while the flashlight from their phones illuminated the way. There were stairs in the hall, so they would be safe as long as they could climb up.

Mr. and Mrs. Mullen Sr. were old and slow, even with the help of their canes. The two were soon left behind by everyone. In the end, Arthur broke away from his mother's grip and turned back for them. Mrs. Mullen Sr. was closer to him, so he helped her first. When he was about to help Mr. Mullen Sr., the rubble began to fall right onto Mr. Mullen Sr.

"Grandpa!" Arthur yelled. He wanted to save Mr. Mullen Sr., but Jacqueline ran over and dragged him away, "Arthur, hurry up. Come on. We won't be able to escape from this place if we don't go right now." "Grandpa... Grandpa..." Arthur could not stop crying out for his grandfather.

Mr. Mullen Sr. lay on the ground and waved at him to go. It seemed like the old man did not want to live anymore. There was a remorseful look on his face as he wailed, "It's all my fault... It's all my fault... Go.. Don't worry about me... Go..."

Kisa was shocked when she heard that. Seems like Sara caused all this. That woman is truly vicious."

Everyone ran to the hall in panic as the roof came crashing down. The chandelier in the hall also fell and hit Leon on the head. He shouted in pain as Isaac and Joe rushed up the spiral staircase without tending to their wives. The Mullens's daughters-in-law had no time to care about that while they also sprinted up the staircase desperately.

Kelvin was pulling Kisa along, about to go up the stairs, when Leon dashed over and pushed them away. His head was bleeding from the chandelier. He glared fiercely at them both and said, "If anybody should escape this place, it should be the Mullens." He then dragged Carrie up with him.

Kelvin stared at Leon's back coldly and cursed, "You b*stard! No matter how much you run, you're still going to die eventually!" After he said that, he quickly pulled Kisa up the stairs.

Suddenly, someone yelled, "Aah! The door is stuck!"

"What?! Why is it stuck?!"

"What do we do now?! Waah. I don't wanna die. Is anybody out there? I want to get out of here! Let me out! Waah..

"Help! Help!"

Kelvin and Kisa glanced at each other with serious looks on their faces Kelvin wanted to laugh but could not "It seems like we're going to die together down here," he said disconsolately Kisa's heart tightened She looked at Kelvin, feeling extremely guilty, and said, "I'm sorry for bringing you into this."

"Shut up. I hate it when people apologize to me," roared Kelvin. "It's not the end yet. I have to get out of here. Gracie's waiting for me at home."
