Chapter 66: Awakening Shadows

LYRA'S

POV

I have been floating for a while now. I felt extremely tired and just wanted to rest and soon I found myself back to my room in moonlit pack.

I exhaled as I climbed on my bed and laid there. "She is not a bastard she is my child!" I heard a familiar voice, one that I have known my whole life scream. It was my mother.

"What was going on again? What were they arguing about? This is like the tenth time this week," I groaned, then I realized something.

My parents never fought or at least I didn't know about it. I stood up and I walked towards the place the voices came from and I found a nursery we a little version of me was laying peacefully in my crib.

"She is a bastard! She is no child of mine," the man who is supposed to be my father screamed and I walked in to see a man without a head pointing at me. I gasped and close my eyes.

I opened my eyes to see I was being dipped into water at a poaters ceremony.

"What is going on?" I mumbled.

"Welcome to your full moon ritual," the poaters king laughed at me as he walked towards me with a silver knife in his hand.

"What? No, no, no, don't come any closer," I warned as he walked towards me, his knife aimed at my chest.

As he was about to stab me, I closed my eyes and screamed and I woke up with the spirits.

"Lyra, none of this is real, you need to wake up," the spirit said to me.

"I am awake" I responded looking confused.

"No, your family and friends are waiting on the other side for you. You need to wake up. If you keep on floating and going through your memories, you will keep on crafting memories that did not exist and the species that tried to get you killed will try again and if you are killed here, you will remain here forever," The spirit said to me.

"How will I go back?" I asked.

"Follow the light," the spirit said as she brought out a little light and whispered some words into it and it started moving.

"You did good. Till we meet again," she smiled at me and I went after the light.

"Ahh, the light is so bright," I groaned as I opened my eyes.

"Where am I and what happened? Why are you all looking at me like that?" I asked as I looked at all of them.

"We are just happy to have you back." Aria started crying as she hugged me.

"What happened?" I asked again this time my voice sounded cracked and I requested for water.

"Lyra," Kyle said as he walked in and hugged me. He looked distraught.

"I am so happy you are okay," he said as he hugged me.

"What happened?" I asked for the third time.

"You single handedly defeated Ryker and the colossal good. And sent all the species back to the underworld," Merida said happily and all the memories came back. "What of our people are they alright?" I asked as I remembered the war.

"Yes most of them have healed and we have moved to the Rogue pack and we already changed the name to free town." Kyle told me.

I was told how they have decided to start a council with the leader of each species.

"Okay what about the hunters and Elijah? Shouldn't we worry about them?" I asked them.

"They were all killed by Ryker and his troops so you do not have to worry." Kyle said and I suddenly felt pity for them.

"Okay then," I said as I tried to stand up.

"Ahgg," I groaned as I held the back of my head and suddenly felt dizzy.

"Doctor!" Kyle ran as he went to get the doctor.

The doctor came while Aria and Merida but me back on the bed.

"I cannot explain what happened, I felt a sharp pain on my head and I suddenly felt dizzy," I explained to the doctor.

"It is alright, it is just the minor stitches. I will call the healer to heal it," the doctor smiled.

"Okay, thank you," I smiled back at her.

"I heard that the girl has woken up, we will start the plan now. Somebody should spy on her. I cannot trust Kyle anymore, something tells me that he has fallen in love with the girl," the man said as his eyes darkened.

"I will go master. I am somebody that Kyle will not question because of how close we have worked and I can easily get information back to you," Kiera said as she came forward.

"I want to know everything about the girl. I want to know how she got reincarnated. I know everything about her past life and when the time is right I will play my cards. Right now I need you to keep a close eye on her and tell me whatever she is planning. This will be a very fun ride," he smiled.

"Kiera why are you going?" Kyle whispered to her in the dead of the night.

"Master is now uncontrollable and I have heard that Lyra is a good person, plus she will definitely help me. I will tell her everything about master and all the plans he has been making," Kiera said in a small voice. "NO, don't say anything to her. I will explain everything to her myself," Kyle said as he thought about Lyra reaction if she replaces out that he has been keeping such a big secret from her.

"Okay then I promise to keep my mouth shut. I will not tell her anything about master but that I am a poor wolf from another province," Kiera smiled secretly as she had gotten the reaction she wanted from Kyle. "Thank you," Kyle nodded to her and left.
