"You seem really keen on divorcing me. Is being married to me that painful for your Harry had expected mockery from Julia, but he hadn't anticipates her bringing up the topic of divorce again because of Arya. Before Arya's return, Julia had been very sensible and strictly adhered to their agreement, handling every one of his scandals flawlessly. In his eyes, Julia truly was the ideal wife, so he hadn't considered divorcing her just yet. Julia drained her wine glass, reflecting on whether marriage to Harry was a painful affair. Honestly, aside from not being the ideal husband, Harry was near perfect in every other aspect. She found lule to fault. Faced with Harry's question, Julia hesitated to respond. She didn't know what to say and certainly couldn't confess her past affection for him

When everyone thought Harry and Arya were made for each other, Julia had fallen for him, though he was never hers. She knew all too well. As a child, she often followed Harry around yet never caught his eye.

Julia's gaze lingered on Hany's face, memories she had tucked away slowly resurfacing. That very face had captivated her throughout her youth. Had Arya not returned, she might not have brought up divorce so frequently. "You haven't answered my question, Harry said, determined to get an answer in

an answer from Julia...

Harry's face was partially obscured in the darkness, making it impossible for Julia to read his expression. His tone was calm, leaving Julia unable to discern his thoughts. She tried to see through to Harry's heart but to no avail, leaving her with a resigned sigh.

Pouring herself mother glass, Julia finally said, "Honestly, being married to you isn't painful. On the contrary, it could've been quite joyous, provided there was love. But you don't love me. Our marriage lacks passion, making it utterly bland. We're together purely out of conv Harry couldn't deny the truth in Julia's words.

"Harry." Julia suddenly called out softly. "Do you remember the little girl who always used to follow you around in middle school?

"I don't," Harry replied. There had been too many girls trailing after him from a young age, and he couldn't possibly remember each one, especially since Arya had already been part of his life then. Hearing this, Julia swallowed the words she had intended to say.

"What is it?" Harry inquired.

"It's nothing. If you don't remember, then it's not worth bringing up, Julia said, taking another sip of her wine, not sparing Harry another glance. "Let's get back on track. What are your plans regarding Arya!" "TU take care of Arya's situation. I haven't considered divorce." Harry pondered for a moment before adding, "Arya is important to me, but if we ever do divorce, it certainly won't be because of her. Harry wasn't sure why he had said that. The words had slipped out before he realized they might be inappropriate. He wasn't sure if Julia was listening or if she had absorbed his words. Julia appeared calm, seemingly unaffected.

They sat like old friends who hadn't seen each other for years, momentarily putting aside their troubles and discussing trivial matters over drinks, Julia would occasionally laugh or simply gur blankly at Harry's face. Julia's consciousness grew fuzzy, likely from a bit too much wine. "It's getting late. You should go. Got things to deal with after waking up."

She staggered to her feet, her head swimming with dizziness. Fortunately, Harry was quick to catch her. She leaned into 11 into Harry's deep eyes, scenes from her youth flickered in her mind, vivid and unrelenting she looked

Instinctively, she reached up to touch Harry's check, but as her fingers nearly brushed his skin, she stupped back to reality. Si her hand and pushed away from Harry, leaning on the wall to put distance between them. y withdrew

"Sorry, I lost my composure for a moment there. Julia avoided Harry's gaze and his reaching hand, pushed through her drunken hare, and staggered back to her room, unaware of Harry's puzzled look behind her. "Just leave," Julia said as she sat on the bed. The moonlight bathed her and blurred her figure.

Harry wanted to say something more but sensed Julia's off-state, so he silently left

The moment the door clicked shut, Julia finally breathed a sigh of relief She

patted her cheeks softly and thought, 'How could I bring up with Harry? He wouldn't remember. Our marriage agreement was clear, I wasn't supposed to fall for him. It's the detachment that's kept our marriage going this long up the past

Julia was immensely frustrated. She feared Harry might discover her hidden feelings, feelings she had masked so well over the years that even she nearly forgot her true self.

However, Arya's presence had nearly made her slip up and reveal her secret to Harry

Julia lay in bed, unable to fall asleep, feeling frustrated and sad inside. Harry wouldn't divorce her, but his heart belonged to Arys. Caught in the middle, Julia endured the torment, unable to confide her troubles.

Harry, too, was sleepless. He hadn't missed a word Julia said nor the subtle changes in her expressions. The little girl she mentioned remained absent from his memory, but he knew Julia wouldn't have mentioned it without reason. Settling in the next room, Harry lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. Tonight, his thoughts seemed to be constantly influenced by Julis He couldn't make sense of the feelings she stirred in him, no matter how

The quiet night set free all the sensitive nerves, awakening memories buried deep within, effortlessly touching upon people's most sensitive and vulnerable spots.

Seeing the morning star creep up in the sky gave just a bit of relief, calming the edginess and worry and promising a new hope.

Julia stood on the balcony, draped in her jacket, gazing into the distance. With the night's end, her vulnerability and emotions faded away.

When dawn breaks, I'll still be the sharp-tongued, vindictive Julia. All I need to do is play the role of a wife when facing Harry. His love is such a luxury I simply can't afford,' she thought
