Since her mother's death, Julia had avoided the Jackson family home. The painful memory of her father bringing back his mistress and their daughter while her mother lay seriously ill had deeply scarred her, eroding her belief in marriage and

of Harry's ongoing drama with Arya, found herself agreeing to the arrangement out of concem for her mother. She needed financial support, and Harry needed someone to fill the role of "Mrs. Wright." Unfortunately, Julia's mother passed away not long after, mirroring the "Mr. Wright, we just wanted Julia to come back for a family gathering. We didn't expect you to join us," Donald, Julia's father, said, his voice tinged with nervousness as he faced Harry, resembling more of a timid subordinate than an elder. Her standing beside Harry with a cold and detached demeanor triggered Donald's irritation. However, before he could snap, Freya Donald's mistress, intervened, "Let's just enjoy the family reunion, considering Julia hardly ever visits."

Harry flashed a practiced smile, playing the part of a devoted family member perfectly. "Donald, there's no need for formalities. Julia wasn't feeling well today, and I didn't want her to be alone. After all, we're family."

With a frown, Julia asked, "Why are my mother's belongings out here?"

Donald and Freya exchanged uneasy glances before looking away. A little while later, Freya stepped forward, her voice hesitant as she reached for Julia's hand. "Julia, your father's company has been struggling financially, and we had no choice We had to auction these it Julia's response was icy.
