Paris’ POV

We are in the woods in Russia and have found two human bases with labs. We are watching them to see if they operate like the bases in England and America. There are more soldiers, but they still work in the same way. We have already helped the wolfpacks stay in the area with the little devices we gave them, and they will be safe from being detected by humans. We have captured most of the rogues, and we had to kill those we could not save. I am not happy about it, but what else can we do? I can see the humans are getting frustrated as they can not replace any rogues or wolfpacks in this area. I know they will try to move deeper into the woods, but we have cleared all the woods around here with the help of the wolfpacks in Russia. Mikhail will not be happy with them as it looks like they are trying to move fast to get as many dogmen as they need, but at the moment, they are not getting or creating any as we have blocked them everywhere.

“Do you think humans will get desperate and move deeper into the woods? Their army is not growing, and they are not getting the wolves they need,” I ask Walker.

“Yes, my darling, they will, but I hope they do not decide to start doing other things like turning humans into vampires,” Walker says. I have not thought about that and wonder if Mikhail will get that desperate.

“I hope he does not think of that. What will we do then?” I ask.

“We will fight him and his vampires and protect the humans,” Walker says.

Luca and Mariana come running to us. They have been at the Castle all the time. I hope they do not have bad news for us. I hope they have something we can work with. Luca stops in front of us and hands us maps and plans.

“What is this?” I ask.

“Plans and maps to where we can enter the Castle,” Luca says with a smile.

“Wow, where did you get it?” Walker asks. Luca tells us how his grandfather tricked his father, and I laugh. So the old Duke is not as clever as he thought.

“So what is the plan?” Luca asks.

“Every time your father takes humans to his Castle, you and a few others will go and release them. In the meantime, we will stop his dogmen operations here, and we are afraid he will get desperate and start turning humans into vampires,” I say.

“I was worried about that as well. Because if he gets a large army, he might start using the cities to look for werewolves, and getting every wolf in the city won’t be easy. We will be spread as thin as they are when they move into the cities,” Luca says.

“I agree. We need to try and stop him in every way we can. We can not let him get the better of us. Luckily, we have all the help of the wolves in Europe, while he does not have all the use of the vampires. Many have joined us and can now walk in the sunlight as we had to ensure there were no evil spies of Mikhail. I am glad we have the magical wolf and the gypsy helping us,” Walker says.

“Yeah, and do not forget about the hunters, dogmen, and Herman that joined us. What would we do without them?” I ask.

“Of course, we can not forget about you and your brother and sister, Luca. What would we have done without you?” Walker asks.

“I love you as my King and Queen, and I love being part of his team. I can not wait for the day my father goes down in flames,” Luca says.

“Jeffrey knows where the white oak stakes are, and he and his mate Elena are looking for them now. He will bring them to us as soon as he has them. Then we will take it from there and surprise him one day and go in with the stakes. It is not easy to replace the stake, as it is hidden deep and far, and there are a lot of traps around the stakes. The wolves of old had secured the stakes so that no one needed to get to them get them that do not have to. They will have to go through a lot of traps and stuff, according to Jeff,” I say. Jeff told us where it was buried but that the place it was in was full of booby traps. He and Elena must be super careful, or they will get killed. I do not want my friends to be killed, and I want them to be careful.

“Well, it is good we may need it when we finally fight my father, but first, let us stop his whole plan, then take him on. We are going back to the Castle to spy. If you need us, let us know,” Luca says. I nod at him and Mariana.

“Good luck, and do not be caught. We do not want to lose friends,” I say.

“We will not get caught, my Queen,” Mariana says. She smiles at me, and I know we have loyal friends in Luca and Mariana. I am glad they found the maps and the plans for the Castle. At least now, we will know what Mikhail is planning before he can do it. They run away, and although Luca is faster than Mariana, he stays with her. I know they are in love, and I feel good to see Luca getting another chance at love. He told us about his human girlfriend and that she was afraid of his father when they were still humans. He is a good soul, as are Roman and Kristina. I am glad they are part of our team.

“What are you smiling about, darling?” Walker asks.

“About love and the second chances we all get at love,” I say. Walker pulls me closer and k****s me.

“I am glad that you are my mate and that my first mate rejected me,” Walker says.

“I feel the same, honey,” I say. We k**s, and Walker takes me to our tent. We are camping out in the woods, pretending to be hikers as always. Not all of us can speak Russian, but some wolves can, so when we encounter humans, we let them speak. As we walk to our tent, we see a bunch of soldiers approaching. We are on high alert, but we know they can not detect us as wolves.

“Funking humans,” Walker whispers to me, and I smile as I know he wants to have s*x, but we are interrupted.

“Who are you, and what are you doing here?” One of the soldiers asks in Russian, and he does not sound happy. Walker and I can speak and understand a little Russian as we learn daily.

“We are camping and drinking vodka,” One of our men says.

“Have you seen anything strange around here?” The soldier asks, not so rude anymore after hearing the word Vodka.

“No, but we have not drunk enough yet,” Gustav, our soldier, laughs, and the human laughs with him. It is cold here as it is winter, and snowing heavily.

“You and your men want a drink?” Gustav asks.

“You have some to spare?” The human asks.

“We have a lot. Come party with us. We brought a few American friends with us to enjoy the nature of Russia,” Gustav laughs. The human laughs as well.

“Are they not afraid of the cold? Americans are p*****s,” He says. So far, I can understand everything he is saying, as we had a few weeks of learning Russian. They start talking, and I lose some of the plots.

“Americans, how do you like Russia so far,” The human asks in broken English as we all sit around the campfire cooking meat and drinking Vodka. He is drunk by now, and we, as werewolves, do not get drunk as our metabolisms are fast, making it almost impossible for us to get drunk.

“It is cold,” Walker says.

“Yes, Russia is not for p*****s like you,” He laughs.

“What are you doing here in the woods? Do you have practice?” I ask.

“No, you will not believe me when I tell you, and it may scare your little human body if I tell you,” The soldier laughs. His mates laugh as well.

“Tell us we do not scare easily,” Walker says.

“Well, hold your little girlfriend. You see, we are looking for werewolves, and they are real and very scary. We have seen them, and they are ten feet tall and walk on their hind legs,” The human says. I smile as I know he is making it sound more terrifying than it is.

“Really? Well, did you know aliens are real? We once saw a flying saucer in the Yellow Stone park,” Walker says. The Russian thinks we are making fun of him, and he does not like it. I can see it in his eyes.

“I can show you,” He says and takes out his cell phone, and shows us a few rogues they have in their base. I wonder where the base is and know we will have to make him drunk and let him tell us. We give him and his men each a bottle of Vodka. We have brought a lot with us if we need a human to talk to, and we know drunk humans babble. He is so drunk that he is starting to stumble around.

“Do you know that aliens are real? We once saw a flying saucer near area 51,” I say to anger him.

“You do not believe me? I will go and show you those creatures. They are at a secret base near here. Come with me, and do not s**t yourself. They are in cages that they can not break out of,” He says. He starts walking, and his men stumble on behind him. We follow them. We know if we get the wolves tonight, they will tell another story to their superiors as they will not want them to know they were drunk. We walk until we get to a cave. We did not know there was a cave as it was hidden behind silver doors. What do we do now? We can not enter a place with silver doors.

“We are not going into the dark cave! How do we not know you are trying to trap us?” I ask.

“Well, then, who is not afraid to go in?” The human laughs.

“We will go in,” The hunters with us say. Val and his men came with us, and they were ready to enter the cave. I am glad we bought them, as we can not enter a cave laid out in silver, and it will make us weak and helpless. I watch as the hunters walk inside with the humans, and I know there will be a fight inside, but we can not help. We can only wait outside and hope we can benefit from here. Luckily, there are many hunters, and they are not afraid to fight. I feel sad that we can not help them.

“Are you sure you are not werewolves and do not want to go inside because there is silver everywhere?” The human asks but laughs.

“Silver is the last thing we are afraid of. I will not let many drunk soldiers rape my girlfriend inside a place I do not know,” Walker says.

“I get it. You do not trust us because we are drunk. I was teasing you,” He says. I still do not trust all this, and I wonder what is happening. We know vampires visit the sites at night, and I look around me. I hold Val and his men back before they can walk inside the cave.

“I think we will all return to our camp as we do not trust you. Enjoy your vodka.” I say.

“Come on! We know you want to see the werewolves,” He insists. Val picks up on my vibe that something is wrong and we should not enter the cave.

“Maybe another night,” Val says as we walk away.

“I think there are vampires inside there and no wolves,” I link, Walker.

“I got the same idea, my love,” I think they are looking for human prey.

As we reach our camp, we go into hiding and leave our tents as they are. We wait to see what will happen next.
