Chapter 86

Third Person’s POV

“I am telling you what I saw, Ben. It was vampires, and some humans were fighting them with wooden stakes, and they turned into dust as soon as the humans stabbed them with the wooden stakes, just like in the movies,” Paul tells his friend.

“You have to stop doing drugs, Paul! You see things! You were downtown buying drugs again,” Ben says.

“I took a video. See for yourself,” Paul says, and shows Ben the video he took. Ben is surprised at what he sees.

“Wow, I never would have believed you! We should post it on the internet,” Ben says.

“No, I am afraid, as the army also showed up a little later, but they did not do much. They just blocked off the area,” Paul says.

“Well, we can post it anonymously,” Ben says.

“Yeah, maybe they were filming a movie,” Paul says.

“I do not think so because how did they turn into dust?” Ben says.

“That is true, but as you said, if the army were there, it would be better for us not to post it. Maybe they can trace us unless we go to an internet cafe and post it there,” Paul says. The two friends walk to the internet cafe and post it anonymously on a well-known social media platform. Within a few seconds, they get many responses, and other videos of the same incident show up. So Paul is relieved that he is not the only one that saw and recorded it. Some post videos about werewolves and Paul and Ben looking at each other.

“Maybe those things fighting the vampires were werewolves and did not want to show their true form for fear that people would get even more scared. You know the folklore that werewolves protect humans,” Ben says.

“Yeah, and they were fast as they were fighting the vampires, so that they may be werewolves,” Paul says. The two friends leave the internet cafe and go home.

“How did we lose all our vampires? Why did you not help them?” Mikhail shouts. His army is getting smaller by the day.

“There were too many humans, and if we intervened, they would not trust us again,” The human general says.

“Well, that is true. We need humans to trust their army for our plans to work,” Mikhail says.

“Yes, but how did those who fight them know about it? Who are they?” The general asks.

“It must be those wolves! Look on the internet if there are videos. Humans like to upload things like that to the internet,” Mikhail says. The general and his men start scanning the internet and replace the video that Paul and Ben uploaded. The creatures fighting the vampires are fast, but they can get a few faces of the creatures. They print it out and take it to Mikhail. He looks at the pictures of a beautiful creature fighting with a handsome man. Mikhail is sure it is the King and Queen of werewolves. But will they come out and fight and put their lives in danger? He does not know royals that will do that. They look strong, and Mikhail does not like it. He is already afraid for his life as he does not know what is happening in his Castle. Then he sees Roman and Kristina fighting with them.

“My children have turned against me, but I know they will not kill me as they will die if I die,” Mikhail says.

“Sir, we do not know how many vampires we have left, but I found a lot of vampires that are on their way from other countries. They all have a bond with you and are coming to help,” One of the vampires says as he walks into the office.

“That is excellent news. We will need as many soldiers as possible. The werewolves are getting too close to the Castle, as they are already fighting us in the towns around us,” Mikhail says, and feels relieved. Luca listens to all this and does not like the idea of more vampires coming this way. He knows he will have to warn the wolves again and see if they can not get some of the armies on the way. They will have to try and kill some, if not all, of them. He runs to his secret cave. He and Mariana are using a room in the Castle where no one ever comes, as it is far from everything in the Castle and is hidden behind a secret door. No one knows about this room, as Mikhail does not have plans for the Castle. There they can charge their phones and even have a bed they can sleep on when tired. They also have access to the kitchen from a secret door and steal b***d from the vampires. They know the cooks and vampires working in the kitchen are afraid to tell Mikhail, as they are so scared to anger the ghost of the Castle. Luckily, many vampires need to refill their b***d supply every week, so no one questions the cooks, as there are many to feed.

“We have another problem. Other vampires are coming from other parts of the world to help Mikhail fight us,” Luca tells Walker as soon as he answers his phone.

“We will be on the lookout for them, and I will put all the wolves on high alert. We need to stop them from going to the Castle, or at least as many as we can,” Walker says.

“I agree with you, King. I will go back and do what I need to and take as many out at the Castle as possible,” Luca says.

“Be careful. Do not get caught. We do not want to lose you and Mariana,” Walker says. Luca smile. His heart feels warm as he knows the King and the Queen love him and Mariana as they love their wolves and want to protect them as much as their kind.

Walker and his wolves get to work and check every night flight that comes into Europe and lands near the Castle. They make sure they are there with their gypsies to make sure they can spot the vampires that have to fly in. As they land, the gypsies start chanting and giving the vampires tattoos. Those that do not turn into dust they take with them, but some get away from them and are on their way to the Castle. The ones with daylight tattoos help the wolves track most vampires and kill them or save some. They did not know there was a way to unbind themselves from Mikhail and were relieved that they did not have to fight for Mikhail anymore. Some are evil, like Mikhail, who dies when they get the tattoo. It is the best way the wolves can fight so many vampires simultaneously. They know they will not get all of them, but at least they bring down the numbers. In the Castle, Luca and Mariana are doing their part as well, as they kill all the ones they can get alone or are not in big numbers. Mikhail is getting worried about the vampires in the Castle and he is thinking of moving, but where will he go as this is his place of safety? He walks up and down as they enter a room where five vampires were killed again.

“We need to get behind these killings in the Castle! It can not be a ghost! I do not believe in ghosts that can kill,” Mikhail says.

“Well, we can also not send the vampires out as the wolves will get them on the outside,” The human general says.

“I know you are right. We also need to do something about those videos about vampires on the internet. We can not let humans know about us,” Mikhail says. Everything is going wrong for him. His big army he was waiting for is coming in small groups and says some of their vampires did not make it as they can not get a hold of them. I am worried. How am I going to fight the wolves if they attack? My army is not growing as I hope it would.

“You can always ask the help of your brother,” One of the vampires says. Luca is not happy about that suggestion. He knows his uncle and that his father turned him. He is worse than his father and even more cruel. He has no heart and turned off his emotions a long time ago as he was not happy about being a vampire. He was a good human and never wanted anything to do with my father, but when he turned, he became cruel and ruthless. He still hates my father, but will help him as he does not want to die. I know he has a big Castle to the north and loves women. Again, he will have to warn the wolves and let them go and take out my uncle and his coven before they can come and help my father.

“That is not a bad idea. He does not want to die and he will have to come and help me,” Mikhail says. He looks around as if he is thinking of something.

“I will send someone to him for help. I do not trust the wolves and somehow they know everything we do,” Mikhail says.

“They must have found a way to listen to our phone and radio conversations, so it would be best if you sent someone,” The human General says.

“That is what I was thinking,” Mikhail says. Luca is watching them through the peephole. He sent Mariana to go and tell the Queen. He also gave her directions to my uncle’s castle. Lucan knows his uncle has a big army, but Luca knows there are many wolves. They can beat his uncle, he is sure of it. Mariana runs to the cave and calls Paris. She tells her about Luca’s uncle and where his castle is. Paris and Walker get their wolves ready and head to the Castle in the north. They know it will not be an easy fight to defeat the vampires there, but they have an idea. They will have to burn the Castle in the north to the ground and get the vampires to come out. They will do it at night as they want to give them a fair chance to fight. Werewolves are noble creatures and they will give anyone a fair chance.

They run until they get to the big Castle in the north. The wolves surround the Castle but since it is still early in the morning when they arrive, they stand on the hills surrounding the Castle and looking at it’s layout to make sure they know how to attack.

“The grounds are big and there are many houses around the Castle. We do not know if there are vampires in those houses, but it looks like that as all the windows are blacked out,” Walker says to Paris.

“Yeah, it looks like Mikhail’s brother has built himself an impressive army,” Paris says.

“Well, we will wait until nightfall before we attack. We will have to set everything on fire. We do not know much about this brother of Mikhail,” Walker says.

“He was turned by Mikhail and he always hated his brother. He was not a bad human, but he was the youngest of the two brothers, so Mikhail was the heir and that is why he killed his parents so they could not change it,” Jeff says.

“You know more about him?” Paris asks.

“He has become a fowl creature. His soul is corrupted and he is worse than his brother. We need to kill him and do it fast. We can not let him go and help his brother,” Jeff says.

“We will kill him, but I do not want him to escape and run to his brother,” Walker says.

“We will not let him escape, my love,” Paris says, as she is sure they can beat this evil vampire just like they are going to kill his brother.
