Chapter twenty six- fine details

“Ladies and gentlemen of the pack, I have served this pack well for the past few years, and it hasbeen a very big honour to protect and serve you" Hazyn starts out at the pack meeting. It has beenthree days since the wedding, and thankfully carol has made a full recovery; and it was justoverheating that made her passed out. Hazyn also decided I needed to be in charge of the pack assoon as possible so we can do the tour of all the packs that we have alliances with.

“Today marks the day that I have made the tough decision to stand down as your alpha and insteadbecome your Luna while Erika takes over as alpha. She needs this more than anyone, and I know shewill treat us well,” Hazyn yells over the crowd; I look out at the packs’ faces and can see the worry ona few of the members I haven't had much time with over my stay here, but to my shock, themajority are actually happy about this change.

My head fills with the packs’ voices congratulating me on becoming alpha as to not all scream atonce, giving us all a headache.

“I can see that some people are not happy about this change, and I understand up until this pointwe all just assumed I would become Luna, but I promise I will serve and protect you just as well asHazyn has. My door is unlocked if you need anything, even if it's just to talk,” I call out over thecrowd before Hazyn drags me away from the pack to sign the paperwork.

"You did great; you just need to sign here. Then I will get on the phone and arrange the travelarrangements for next week.” I nod my head, quickly signing my name

“I declare you Erika as alpha*, Hazyn chants before signing his name as Luna of the pack.

"Anything I can help with?” I question, making Hazyn shake his head.

“Nope, just go talk to the pack and pack a suitcase or two; I got this”, Hazyn smiles, kissing mequickly before starting to dial numbers on the phone.
