“Go, pack anything you need. Anything you don’t need now, we can pick up along the way.” I walk to my room and several changes of clothes, a few books, my personal care products and my grimoire before heading back to the living room.

“I’ll take your things to the car.” One of his man states as he is already taking my bags from my hands.

“Do you wish to say goodbye before we go?” I look up at the alpha then over to Adnrew and Sarah, their words at the dinner table still living rent free at the front of my mind.

“There’s no need. I am more trouble than I am worth after all. Perhaps they will feel differently when they are left to cook, clean, tend to the garden and handle the household repairs on their own.” He smirks and places a hand on the small of my back to lead me out of the house to the large black Cadillac Escalade that is waiting for us. He opens the door for me and waits for me to climb in before sliding in next to me.

“After the next stop, the car will be less crowded. This is Gregory, Isaac and Kevin.” He introduces me to the other men in the car as the car pulls out onto the street.

“Less crowded?” I ask in a curious tone as I watch the trees out his window.

“Yes. Isaac will be staying behind at our next stop to help sort some pack issues out.” I nod, trying to seem as though this isn’t the strangest situation I have ever found myself in.

“So, how did you end up with those dicks? Were you really that difficult as a kid?” The man in the diver seat, Gregory, asks with an amused tone.

“Everyone said I was difficult, but I honestly don’t know why they thought that. It is why I wasn’t allowed to attend training with the others. Fair warning, you bartered for peace, but you got a defective witch.” I announce with a fair amount of amusement and disgust.

“You are defective. I could sense your magic when we entered that house. You may not be trained, but you are more powerful than you realize.” I want to believe him, but I can’t. Maybe it is years of being drug down by everyone in the coven, or maybe it is the fact that I have little to no control over my powers, but I just can’t believe his words.

“You should rest. We will be driving for a few more hours.” The man to my left, Isaac states in a soft tone. I have no plans of falling asleep in a car full of strangers, but after several miles of silence, the darkness claims me.

‘Ah, I was wondering when you would arrive.’ I watch helplessly as the dark woman with skin like a weathered and cracked statue emerges.

‘So, you are the dark enchantress? What is your name? Clearly, I cannot call you Avalon. And why were you trying to take children from our pack?’ The beautiful woman with white hair and blue eyes speaks in a voice full of annoyance and determination.

It is always the same, I watch them converse, some of the conversation becomes muffled and I cannot make their words out, but I can see the mischief on the enchantress’s face and the anger on the white haired woman’s. I can’t figure out what this evil woman has done, but the fact that it involves children is unsettling.

‘I do, actually. I am certain I can. The real question is, can you stop me?’ the white haired woman asks, her voice laced with anger and mischief. This is easily my favorite part of this strange dream. I watch as the woman shifts into some half wolf, half human giant. She is majestic and her determination is inspiring. More muffled words are spoken and I brace for the upcoming events.

‘I will end you. You will pay for what you have done to these people…what you have taken from them.’ The wolf creature speak…literally SPEAKS! That is how I know this whole thing is a dream, but wouldn’t that be something?! I watch helplessly as a nude man runs in front of the white haired woman just as a black orb of energy slams into him and drops him to the floor.

The shaking of the car jostles me awake, leaving me wishing, yet again, that I could just for once finish that damn dream. I always wake up as soon as he hits the ground. I never get to replace out if he lives, if they defeat the witch, there is never closure.

“Bad dream?” I look up to see the alpha’s silver eyes staring down at me, looking somewhat concerned.

“Um, not really. At least I don’t think so. I don’t ever make it far enough to figure out if it will end up being a bad dream or a good one.” He raises a row and shifts to turn toward me.

“So, you have had this dream before?” I nod as I stretch my legs the best I can in the cramped space.

“I have been having that dream for as long as I can remember. I feel like maybe it is a story I might have been told as a kid, but at same time…it almost seems real.” He studies my expression as if he is trying to seek out the truth of it all.

“Is it perhaps a vision?” I sigh and shake my head.

“No. It definitely doesn’t feel like it is a premonition or anything. It seems more like a memory than anything really.” I confess with ease.

“We have a healer at our pack, a witch. Perhaps she can help make sense of it.” I let my gaze drift to the darkness out the window.

“Maybe.” I mumble as I try to focus on anything but the way his eyes are inspecting my every movement.

“We will arrive in about five minutes, alpha.” Gregory announces and the relief in his voice is something shared by everyone in the car. Sure enough, five minutes later, we are pulling up in front of a three story building, a pack house I assume.

“Follow me and stay close.” The alpha instructs me as I climb out of the car behind him. I do as he says, having read enough about werewolves to know they are not keen on outsiders entering their land uninvited. Isaac knocks on the door as the alpha and I climb the steps ad the door swings open to reveal a tall, slender brunette with big brown doe eyes.
