Amanda took a deep breath before looking to Nelson for help.

"Mr. Tucker..." she called out.

Although Nelson didn't know Sabrina well, he knew her stubbornness. She would never admit to something that wasn't her fault.

However, if she did not apologize and extend a hand that day, she would be seen as an enemy in the trading industry. If that were to happen, it could be difficult for her to continue doing business. So, Nelson could only take the blame for Sabrina and resolve the matter.

"About this issue with Ms. Wyatt-" he began.

Sabrina pulled her hand away from Amanda, tossed her bag onto the chair, and sat down. She then tilted her head to look at Amanda.

"Are you not aware of what you did?"

Amanda's face immediately turned red with embarrassment.

Everyone in the room was an astute businessperson. They could tell from Amanda's expression that she was guilty. Otherwise, she would have defended herself already.

Sabrina turned to look at everyone, smiling brightly as she picked up her glass and said, "Everyone, I'm sorry for being late. Let me make it up to you with a drink." They all laughed it off, saying it was nothing.

Nelson, on the other hand, sized his beautiful wife up. She was still wearing her usual outfit of a simple sweater and slacks.

Her long hair was tied back in a casual manner, revealing her elegant, slender neck. Sabrina had exquisite features, and her bright eyes radiated intelligence.

The matter had caused quite a stir. If this were to happen to anyone else, they would have been thrown off course.

Yet, Sabrina stayed focused on the main issue. With no unnecessary talk, she found Amanda's Achilles' heel and sorted everything out. She was truly smart and no doubt an asset. "George has committed a crime that's punishable by three to ten years. I wouldn't dare lie about that, right, Nel?"

Nelson snapped out of his reverie.

"That's indeed the case."

Sabrina did not expect he would play along. So, she stayed for another ten minutes.

When she saw everyone trying to flatter Nelson, she quickly found an excuse to leave.

After exiting the private room, Sabrina headed to the hotel parking lot. There, she found Gerald smoking in his car, wearing a cap with a mask haphazardly hanging from one ear. Sabrina tapped the car window. Gerald thought he was seeing things when he saw her through the half-opened window.

He hurriedly put out his cigarette and opened the car door.

"Sabrina, what are you doing here?" he asked with a forced smile.

"What about you? What are you doing here?"

Gerald answered, "Nothing. I just ate, that's all."

Sabrina glanced inside the car. There were other people inside, some holding fire axes and others with baseball bats.

"Gerald, don't lie to me. I already know everything."

He had investigated how Sabrina got mixed up in the incident and concluded Amanda was also involved. He figured that Amanda had tried to frame Sabrina again.

Hence, Gerald wanted to kidnap and interrogate Amanda to get her to reveal the mastermind. That way, he could also make her pay for her actions.

Gerald's eyes turned red, but he remained silent. He could not help but think he was a fool. After so many days, he still could not figure out who Sabrina's husband was.

As things had gone awry, he knew Amanda was also involved. Despite that, he could only watch as she continued to mistreat Sabrina. That was why he resorted to this foolish plan. "Go home, Gerald. I understand you mean well. But risking yourself for someone like her isn't worth it," Sabrina advised him.

"I just... wanted to help you."

Gerald wanted to help Sabrina obtain a divorce. However, he could not even replace out the identity of her husband. And now, just as he thought of helping her vent, she caught him in the act.

Nelson stepped out of the private room, loosened his tie, and asked Dylan, who was waiting outside, "Where is she?"

Dylan hesitated, causing Nelson to raise an eyebrow.

"Did she go looking for Gerald to talk him out of it?"

Dylan hummed in response.

Nelson's gaze darkened slightly, and his lips curled into a faint smirk.

"Sabrina didn't want to come, but she's here because she heard Gerald is also present."

It was a statement, not a question. Thus, Dylan nodded.

"You know very well what's going on."
