Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 182

"Mr.

Bank, save me! I don't want to die!"

"Mr. Bank-"

Some could not even finish their sentences before the soldiers of the Black Snake Brigade broke their necks.

Kevin was scared out of his wits. His mouth was wide open as he stood rooted to the spot. It took him a few seconds to recover. He could not help but look at Adam, his expression a mix of fear and shock.

Never would he have expected that things would take this turn. The men he recruited could not even last five minutes. What scared him the most was how calm Adam had been all this time.

"David, stop! Tell your men to stop!" Kevin howled with bloodshot eyes.

Adam looked at him coldly and said, "When you had Ray's family murdered, did you tell your men to stop? When you had him and his granddaughter imprisoned for years, did you feel remorse? You'll pay for what you did to them... You'll pay with your life." "How dare you do this to me?! I will-" Kevin bellowed.

Snap!

The sound of a snapping of the neck interrupted Kevin's words. Another one of his subordinates had died.

Kevin shivered, and he looked at Adam with fury in his eyes.

Adam kicked him in the stomach, making him tumble toward Ray's grave. He commanded, "Kneel!"

Kevin struggled to get up, but Adam stomped on his knees hard, shattering both of them.

Kevin howled in pain.

Adam ignored his screams and repeated, "Kneel and beg Ray for forgiveness."

Kevin endured the pain and said through gritted teeth, "I'll do as you say if you let me go. Moreover, I promise that I won't disclose your real identity. No one will know about what happened today!

"I'm the heir of the Banks, and it'll only bring you trouble if you kill me. You won't have an opportunity to rebuild your family if you get into a war with my family!"

Adam stomped on Kevin's back with his foot, the latter collapsed in the mud face-first.

"You're in no position to bargain with me," reminded Adam.

Kevin struggled to get up. He spat out the mud in his mouth and bellowed, "I can provide you with intelligence! I can also help you rebuild your family! I have many uses... You can't just kill me!"

"I can rebuild the Drakes by myself, and the first step would be to get rid of the Banks," Adam said with a deadpan face. "As for intelligence, I have my ways to get my hands on it. Your only purpose is to accompany Ray Hernandez in death!" Kevin's expression changed. He could no longer hide his fear and screamed, "No, you can't kill me! I'll apologize, I'll do whatever you want! I... I don't want to die!

"Spare my life! I promise that I'll be very useful! I-I can help you in many ways!

"I'm sorry for what happened to Ray Hernandez. I really am. I know I made a mistake, but give me an opportunity to make amends! If you spare my life, I'll help you rebuild Ray's family. I'll make them rich!"

Kevin kneeled and banged his head on the ground, begging Adam for mercy.

Adam took a deep breath and whispered, "Ray, did you hear? Hmm, perhaps you didn't. In that case, I'll send him your way so that he can apologize in person..."

Kevin opened his eyes wide and screamed, "No-"

Before Kevin could continue, Adam stepped on his neck and broke it.

Then, he kicked Kevin's corpse into the pit.

Sandra, who was standing close by, hurried to move away. She looked down at the grave with bloodshot eyes. Eventually, she spat on Kevin's corpse with a disgusted look on her face and muttered to herself, "Grandpa, you have been avenged..." "No, those guys are still alive."

Adam turned to look at the Moodys, who were so scared that they had even forgotten to run away.

Seeing Adam's cold expression, they shivered. Fear gripped their hearts, and their legs felt as heavy as lead. Nevertheless, none of them moved. They stood in their original spots as if petrified.

They stared at the scene in front of them in disbelief, their brain unable to process the fact that Kevin Bank and his subordinates were dead.

Kevin was the heir to the Banks, and his subordinates were skilled fighters, among the best the Banks had to offer. Yet, they had been killed within minutes.

When they came here, this was not the outcome they had expected to see. They thought Adam would be dealt with swiftly since the Banks were involved. After all, the Moodys were very clear about the power of the Banks.

Yet, Kevin and his subordinates were annihilated in mere minutes, and Adam himself did not even lift a finger. His underlings had been enough to take care of everything. They wondered if he really was just a "survivor" of the Drake family because the amount of power he displayed was shocking. After all, even if the Drakes still existed, they could not have done better than this!

Some of them even suspected that Adam had rebuilt the Drakes in secret.

The Moodys were shocked, and when they looked at Adam, they almost saw the specter of the defunct Drake family behind him. He was a lone man, but he could rival a powerful family!

Dray Moody recovered from his shock and noticed that his clothes were drenched in sweat. Only now did he remember what Adam had said last night and what awaited them. He felt regret for not heeding Adam's advice. If they had kneeled before Ray Hernandez's grave and apologized, they would not be in this situation. Even if his son had died, the rest of the Moodys could keep living. However, it did not look like things would end well for them now.

"I... I..." Dray thought about begging for his life, but his mouth was dry, and he could not form a complete sentence even after trying for a while.

At this moment, one of the Moodys kneeled and said while shivering, "As long as you don't kill us, we'll do as you say! We'll kneel, we'll compensate you, and we'll follow every single one of your orders to the letter!"

Hearing their clansman's words, the other family members also returned to their senses. They kneeled and started begging.

Dray shivered. He closed his eyes and kneeled as well.

Faced with the pleas of the Moodys, Adam was unmoved. He knew what kind of people they were. They were not kneeling because they regretted their actions, but only because they were afraid of dying. If he let them go, they would soon return to their old ways, ruining other people's lives for a little bit of profit.

"You've made your choice, and it's time to face the consequences."

Adam's cold words spelled the end of the Moodys.

The color drained from their faces, and they weakly lay where they were, not even trying to run away.

Adam no longer paid them attention and walked up to Sandra. He helped her up and ordered the soldiers to fill the grave.

The soldiers got to work. Soon, a new grave mound appeared in the cemetery.

Adam whispered, "Ray, you no longer have to worry. You can finally set out on your journey."

With that, he got into a car with Sandra, leaving Black Dragon to deal with the Moodys.
