Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 55

Shocked and stunned, their faces filled with disbelief.

Amelia and her two friends were completely dumbfounded. They were just slapped in the face a moment ago, and now they are slapped again?

But how is this possible?

This is reality, not a dream. How can Katie's useless family always turn the tables? It's too fantastical; it's not logical!

Marcus, on the other hand, was even more dumbfounded.

One second ago, he said, "Whoever invited Adam's family is an idiot." The next second, the manager of his own restaurant was bowing and saying, "Adam's family will always be the most honored guests of the restaurant." This... damn it, the slap came unexpectedly, and he wasn't psychologically prepared!

More importantly, the manager's words made him lose face in front of Amelia and her friends. From being high and mighty, he turned into a useless idiot in a second!

Can he endure this?

He still wanted to enjoy pleasures of three girls tonight!

Marcus's face turned red, embarrassed and angry!

The next second...

Smack!

Marcus slapped the manager across the face, angrily scolding, "Manager, open your damn eyes and look at who I am! I don't care who invited them today. Now, immediately, throw them out for me."

The manager was already sweating profusely. At Marcus' words, he trembled even more. "S-Sir..."

Marcus interrupted him, "Shut up! No one will be able to save him today. That's a fact that won't change no matter what you say."

The manager was on the verge of tears. He ignored the difference in status between them and yelled, "It was your father who invited Mr. Drake!"

"Do you dare to raise your voice in front of me? You... Wait, what did you say?" Marcus was stunned.

The manager said again, "It was your father! It was your father who invited them!"

Marcus exclaimed in pure disbelief, "That's impossible! Why would my father invite them? How could useless trash like them possibly be acquainted with my father? Even if they stood in front of my father, he would not give them a second glance!"

It was at this point that the manager learned what despair felt like. Although he did not know the reason, he had received a call from Bruce Holiday himself, who hinted at him to attend properly to Adam and his family. The manager was an experienced and discerning man, so even though he could not see what made Adam or his family special, he faithfully followed his boss' orders.

"It really was your father. If you don't believe me, you can call him and ask him directly."

Marcus hesitated, his face going from red to white. He knew the simplest way to replace out if the manager was lying was to call his father and ask him directly. However, he could not bring himself to do so. He had been bragging for a while, and it was too late to backtrack.

If he went back on his word now, his reputation would be destroyed. For Marcus, it would be no different from slapping himself in the face right in front of Amelia and her besties. If it came to that, bagging even one of the girls would be a distant possibility, to say nothing of a foursome.

Besides, his curt words had already offended Adam and his family, so it was too late anyway.

Deep down, he still refused to believe that they were acquainted with his father. His father was a distinguished gentleman, one of the most important people in Lisle. Adam's family of beggars stood on the other end of the spectrum. The difference between them was so vast that he could not even replace the words to describe it.

Moreover, even if his father was somehow acquainted with Adam's family, their relationship could not be too deep. At most, they had a common friend who had entrusted his father with this task. Even if his father got angry at him for humiliating Adam's family, he could apologize to him later and mend their relationship that way. Marcus believed that there was no way his father would disown him over how he treated a few strangers.

Now, having weighed the pros and cons in his mind, Marcus decided to continue with what he was doing.

"Manager, are you scalping seats behind my back? I don't care how much he paid you, I want this guy out of here. Otherwise, you'll be fired as well!"

The manager was at a loss for words. "Sir, please, can you just call your father and talk to him?"

"No, I refuse to believe that this family of beggars has so much influence!"

By now, Amelia had also recovered from her shock. She walked up to Marcus and clung to him tightly, pressing her breasts against his body. "Darling, you're so cool. I love you so much!" she said.

"Marcus, you're awesome!" the pair of besties chimed in soon after.

The two friends seized the opportunity to add fuel to the fire.

Marcus instantly felt that sense of being high and mighty returning, floating as if in a fairyland!

To this, Adam coldly said, "Dig your own grave, can't live!"

"Hmph, just based on you? A useless person?"

"If you really have such great power, then kill me now!"

As the words fell, a furious shout came from behind, "Do you want to die?"

Marcus was stunned again, angrily cursing, "Today everything is upside down, who the hell is not happy? Really want to die..."

Halfway through his words, silence fell across the entire restaurant.

Marcus stared in shock at the approaching elderly man, as well as the man and woman behind him. He couldn't help but tremble uncontrollably. Others also turned to look.

Katie was slightly surprised, saying, "Mr. Hamilton?"
