Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 72

As the sun set and the stars appeared, faint light filtered through the window into the room.

Katie was sleeping in Adam's arms.

However, although the day retreated, the darkness was just beginning.

At Tarot Club, General Manager's Office.

Paul stared at the man opposite with icy eyes.

The man, around thirty years old, wore a black Zhongshan suit, had long flowing hair, fair complexion, and played with a casino chip between his fingers. The green chip danced between his fingers, spinning and disappearing at times, his movements agile and dazzling. "Mr. Booker, what do you think?"

"As long as you nod, I'll share thirty percent of the casino's profits with you. This is a risk-free deal, you'll only make a profit."

The man spoke calmly, without a hint of fear, as if he were sitting across from the underground king of Lisle and not an ordinary person.

"Hmph!"

Paul coldly snorted and replied, "I said it's impossible. There can't be any casinos in Lisle; that's my rule."

The man raised an eyebrow, continuing politely, "Mr. Booker, I think you don't know enough about my identity. My name is Joseph Alfieri, but I prefer others to call me the 'Shadowless Hand."

"I'm a gambler, so I like to solve anything with gambling. Would you like to gamble with me?"

"If I win, you agree to my request, and I'll still give you a thirty percent share. If I lose, I'll leave immediately."

"Heh!" Paul sneered, "You're a gambler, but I'm not. So, stop using your tricks to fool me. If you have any sense, get lost quickly."

Joseph wore a smile on his face, undisturbed, and said lightly, "Everyone in this world is a gambler; they just don't bet because the stakes aren't high enough."

"Since you look down on this stake, I'll change it. Let's bet on how long you can stay in this position, shall we?"

"Damn, you're looking for trouble!"

The bodyguard beside Paul immediately cursed.

Paul's face darkened, "Bro, from what you're saying, are you planning to use force if I don't agree?"

Joseph played with the chip in his hand, calmly saying, "You can understand it that way."

"Hehe. Dare to come and act recklessly in my Lisle. It seems you're also a dragon crossing the river. But whether you're a god or a Buddha, wanting to sit on my head and relieve yourself, it depends on whether you have that fate!" "I didn't reach today by being scared!"

"Disable him and throw him out!"

Paul gave the order, and the bodyguards beside him immediately rushed forward.

Bang!

Joseph rose in response, his figure appearing directly in front of the bodyguard. A punch!

Boom!

The bodyguard was sent flying.

Joseph followed up immediately after his successful strike, another kick to the bodyguard's chest, causing him to spit blood on the spot.

In one second, Joseph dealt with the bodyguard, and with a quick step, he arrived in front of Paul.

Paul frowned and threw a punch.

Bang.

Joseph reached out, grabbing Paul's fist, giving it a twist and a slam.

Crack.

Paul's arm instantly fractured.

"Hmph!"

Paul made a muffled sound, trying to struggle, but Joseph had already grabbed his neck.

Joseph continued to play with the chip in his other hand, speaking casually, "Your rules don't matter. Follow what I say unless you want to die!" "Otherwise, do you dare to bet if I have the guts to kill you?"

Paul's face looked extremely unpleasant, wanting to speak but unable to produce any sound.

"Oh, my apologies, I forgot!"

Joseph released Paul, turned, and walked towards the door, seemingly unconcerned that Paul might shoot him in the back.

"I'll come back this time tomorrow. I hope you can think it through."

Paul witnessed Joseph leaving, enduring the pain, and pulled out his phone to call Black Dragon.

"Mr. Drake, we met some problems!"

...

Early morning.

Katie woke up early, and as soon as she opened her eyes, her face turned red in an instant.

She saw Adam sitting by the bedside. Like a child, she held onto one of Adam's arms, burying her head in the crook of his arm, as if she had been holding onto it all night. "Awake? Want to sleep a bit more?" Adam said gently.

Katie quickly lifted her head, her face slightly red, and asked, "Why didn't you wake me up? Is your arm numb?"

Adam retracted his arm without a word and said, "No, you can sleep a bit more. I'll go get breakfast for you."

Saying that, Adam walked outside.

Katie watched his retreating figure, her heart filled with happiness.

An hour later, the family of three had breakfast together. After sending Annie to school, they arrived at the Hartleys Group.

As Katie just was going upstairs, Adam's phone rang.

"It's me. Is Katie at work? Come quickly to the public security bureau and bail me out." Trey hurriedly said.

Adam frowned. His father-in-law got arrested again? What's going on?n
