Return Of The Real Heiress: Secrets And Masks -
My Billionaire Family 367
Chapter 367
The next day, as the first light was starting to show, Cherise was about to get up when Morris turned over and pulled her tightly into his arms.
"Mrs. Chivers, today is New Year's Eve. Stay with me a bit longer just one more hour!" Morris said in a sleepy, teasing voice.
Cherise shook his arm. "Mr. Chivers, this is our first New Year together, let's get up early and get ready!"
Morris nestled his head into her neck. "I always disliked New Year's the most. Because every home was filled with laughter, and I was alone, not even wanting to visit the Chivers residence.
"On New Year's Eve, I just wanted to lock myself in the office, do overtime, like a heartless money-making machine. I really didn't know how New Year's Eve or New Year's felt.
"I'm glad that starting this year, I have you. It's really making me look forward to it!"
As he said this, he unknowingly let out a laugh.
Cherise reached out and patted his head. "Okay, let's get one more hour of sleep and then I'll take you to experience the New Year spirit!
"Ever since I was five and Grandma took me back to Yasvissa, I've been really looking forward to New Year every year."
Morris heard this and kissed Cherise. "Great, starting this year, I have another holiday to look forward to."
Two hours later, the two of them, dressed up and ready, showed up in a large supermarket not far from the base of Azure Peak Morris looked at Cherise, who was wearing a fancy coat and looking very cute, and felt a sense of peace he had never felt
before.
He held her hand with one and pushed the cart with the other. Cherise kept grabbing her favorite snacks from the shelves and putting them into the cart. Morris wore a loving smile the whole time. The supermarket was filled with a festive atmosphere he had never experienced
before.
It was nice. The genuine smile on his face reflected his true feelings.
Morris said, "You pick everything you like, and I'll handle the payment and empty the cart."
At that moment, they were just an average, sweet young couple.
There were plenty of people in the supermarket, mostly residents living around Azure Peak, and almost all of them knew Morris.
Seeing such an attractive couple shopping together, everyone looked at them with envy.
"Should I get this?" Cherise picked up a bag of marshmallows, gave it a shake, and asked Morris,
Morris wished he could buy the entire supermarket for her, and confidently said. "Of course, just take whatever you like."
"Ms. Leach, Morris, are you out shopping too?" a somewhat familiar female voice came from ahead.
Cherise and Morris looked towards the direction of the voice.

Seeing who it was, Morris tightened his grip on Cherise's hand.
Seeing the person in front of lier, Cherise smirked and said, "Oh So it's Ms. Muller
Yulia bit her lip lightly upon seeing the two holding hands so tightly.
But she quickly replaced it with a smile, "I didn't expect to run into you two at the supermarket. Since we met, let me wish you a Happy New Year!" Cherise was in a good mood today and replied, "Happy New Year!
Morris didn't say anything. His eyes were focused on Cherise. Honey, let's go check over there and buy something to take to the old house tonight!" Cherise nodded sweetly. "Sure, what should we buy? Take me to choose something."
They completely ignored Yulia.
Yulia stood stiffly on the spot, her hands clenched tightly together.
The sight of their hands holding tightly together hurt her.
She felt completely foolish for having gone up to say hello. She thought, "Wasn't this just setting myself up for discomfort? I could have ignored it, so why make things hard for herself?" Cherise and Morris, meanwhile, were completely unaffected by Yulia.
They drove back to Chivers Residence with a car full of things.
There were no housekeepers at Chivers Residence. Morris asked Cherise to sit inside while he made multiple trips from the car to bring in the packages.
The simple, quiet happiness filled them with a comforting sense of security.
Evening at the Chivers residence, it was livelier than ever before,
Enya was busy in the kitchen. "Steven, don't sneak bites. Hurry up and take this dish out."
"Okay, Mom. Let Hugh help you out. They should be here any minute." Steven stole a bite before taking the dish out.
"Wow, Mrs. Chivers, you look so shining today, like a peacock in full bloom! That new hairstyle and lipstick shade suit you. perfectly. Anyone would mistake you for a young, fashionable lady, Leo said as he noticed Phoebe. Phoebe hadn't been this happy in ages. "Isn't that right! I think it suits me perfectly too. Leo, call Morris and check if he and my granddaughter-in-law have left yet?"
Just as she finished speaking, Cherise's sweet voice rang out, "Grandma, we're here. Happy New Year, everyone!"
Around the dinner table, everyone gathered for a New Year's feast, raising glasses to toast to a wonderful future.
After dinner, Phoebe handed out gifts to everyone. It was the first time in many years that the Chivers residence had such a lively and enjoyable New Year dinner.
On such a beautiful day, Cherise and Morris naturally decided to stay over.

Chapter 367
Before bed, Phoebe and Cherise sat in the living room chatting Cherise, in the next couple of days, Morris will take visit his grandparents' house.
"Their situation is quite special, especially his uncle Truman. But don't worry. When you go to that large estate, you probably won't encounter his uncle. He's extremely busy with a packed schedule.
you
"However, you should be cautious about his grandmother. I did have much interaction with her when I was young, but after we became family, I got to know her a little.
"She's not a bad person, quite kind-hearted, just not that smart,
Phoebe pointed to her head...
She continued. "If she says something bluntly, don't pay attention to it. In today's terms, she's just a sweet but slightly clueless old lady,
Their daughter married into the Chivers family and passed away shortly after, which indeed feels like a fault on our part. I genuinely feel sorry and guilty towards their family. "Especially since Morris's father is so disappointing, oh well, let's not talk about such things during the New Year.
"Grandma's just giving you a heads-up, dear. If you don't like it there, don't feel pressured to stay. We won't let the Quinton family push us around, okay?"
Cherise listened to Phoebe's reminder, nodded gently, and then gave her a reassuring smile.
