Return Of The Real Heiress: Secrets And Masks -
My Billionaire Family 425
Chapter 425
The Muller family scandal, along with Garrick's crimes against Megan, dominated discussions for days.
This was definitely something Rita hadn't expected.
The divorce of two elderly people in their seventies turned into running joke.
Garrick's horrific actions became a hot topic for legal debates
People's reactions were a mix of anger, sympathy, criticism, and mockery.
I saw the legal report, and Garrick's behavior was so horrifying that it nearly made me cry.
[How can anyone be that cruel and heartless?
[The place I grew up in was known for dealing with witchcraft, so I couldn't help but feel for Megan.
[No one really understands the hopelessness of being cursed.
But at the Same time, I was furious at Garrick-using such an ancient and almost impossible-to-break method on a defenseless woman. Nobility? High society? What a joke.
It was just disgusting!]
fused to feel bad for Rita, especially since she's so old and going through a divorce. But after seeing how her brother hurt so many people for her sake, any sympathy I had disappeared.]
[Exactly. Honestly, I think Mrs. Rita might even be the mastermind behind it all. She benefited the most, didn't she?
[And even if she wasn't the one pulling the strings, there's no way she stayed completely out of iL]
Rita never imagined that her family, the Hawkins, would fall so low, becoming as despised as rats on the street. They barely left the house, and she completely lost interest in arguing over divorce settlements with Rayburn. She spent her days locked in her room, practicing calligraphy, reading books, sipping coffee, and glancing at the newspapers. She didn't go anywhere or even bother fixing herself up.
It wasn't until a few days later, when she got the news that Garrick had died a gruesome death in prison, that she finally came out of her room, her face filled with sorrow, and headed straight to the prison. People said his death was horrific-he suffered for two full days as his entire body rotted away.
It was so disgusting that when the guards found him, none of them dared to go near the body, let alone clean up or examine
Word spread quickly, and most people weren't shocked by the news. Considering the outrage over Carrick's actions, the general reaction was relief and satisfaction rather than pity.
It felt like the Hawkins family had hit rock bottom overnight.
Hannia heard the news after moving back to her dorm at Betrico University, having left Nolan's apartment.
She couldn't deny that it affected her-he was still a relative, and her emotions were understandably complicated.
Camellia, sitting in the women's prison, heard about her grandfather's gruesome death on the news. At first, she laughed out.

Ax February came, time slipped away quietly with the grass growing and orioles chirping
Cherise was sitting on the couch at the maternity center, holding a baby wrapped in a blanket with case
Crow sat next to her and said. "Boss, this baby is so cute! Look at those eyes, nose, and mouth, she's adorable!"
On the other side, Xenia rolled her eyes and said, "Come on, Crow, if you can't give a good compliment, just don't.
"Is that right, Cherise! Look at this little baby, look at her skin, so soft and smooth. I just want to kiss her!
Like a little princess, absolutely gorgeous."
Cherise smiled down at the baby in her arms and softly said, "Yes, she's beautiful, just like a little princess, just like Dora"
"Hey, Boss, look! The baby smiled at you. She didn't smile at me when I held her!" said Crow.
Cherise gently touched the baby's soft hair and whispered, "Little princess, may your life be full of love and peace. I'm your Aunt Cherise, nice to meet you!" When Morris walked in, he saw Cherise smiling and playing with the baby in her arms, full of warmth and affection, and his heart melted.
Crow and Xenia, noticing Morris, quickly stood up to make space
"Hey, Crow, let's go. I'll take you to see Dora and check how she's recovering after giving birth," Xenia said, pulling Crow along and heading out. Crow nodded and followed her.
The small living room at the maternity center was now left with only Morris, Cherise, and the baby in her arms.
Seeing that Cherise was still holding the baby, Morris leaned in, sat next to her, and softly asked, "Cherise, you really seem to like her, huh?" Cherise nodded, "Yeah, I really like her. Life is just so amazing, isn't it? She's this tiny little thing, so full of life, soft, and cuddly. "And she even smiled at me, look!
"Have you washed your hands? You can't touch her without sanitizing first if you haven't."
Morris chuckled, a little helpless, and leaned in to whisper in her car, "I like her too. But hey, what about having our own baby? "Wouldn't it feel even more special if it was ours"
Cherise laughed and looked at him, "Aren't you worried that when we have our baby, she'll take up most of my time and love?" Morris raised an eyebrow and laughed softly, "I didn't think about it that way, but now that you mention it, yeah, I guess I'm little worried too."
Cherise nodded, "So, let's enjoy more of our time together as a couple before we have a baby. We can wait."
Morris gently touched her head, "Alright, we'll do it your way."
