Chapter 435

When the experts sent by Morris and Arthur arrived, they found Truman scratching his head anxiously at the surveillance monitors. Jean still hadn't snapped out of her daze.

It wasn't until Morris walked in that she suddenly stood up. "Morris, what should we do? Grandma was taken right under my

nose.

"Mr. Jarrett is definitely going to scold me badly.

"Also, did we drag Cherise into this too? After she pushed me towards Truman, she rode off on her motorcycle to chase them. Now we have no idea where she is. "What should we do? They won't be in trouble, will they? You have to replace them."

Morris fixed a gaze icy cold as ever on Jean and said, "They'll be fine." before heading straight towards Truman.

He walked over to Truman, furrowing his eyebrows, and asked, "How's it going?"

Truman immediately stood up and offered his seat. "Sit down and take a look.

"It seems like all the cameras are down except the one at the Ebb & Flow entrance."

Hearing this, Morris frowned even more, sat down quickly, and started typing away at the keyboard.

The surveillance footage paused on Cherise speeding through the bustling crowd on her motorcycle, but nothing else seemed to be captured.

He called out, "Leo."

Hearing Morris' serious tone, Leo immediately knew something was up and quickly went outside.

A few minutes later, Leo rushed back to Morris and said, "Mr. Chivers, all the wires outside have been cut, except for the one at the main entrance of Ebb & Flow.

"The whole stretch was cut, starting from here all the way to the end of Haroong Avenue.

"It can't be figured yet when the wires were cut.

"Beyond the end of Haroong Avenue is the edge of Yonderia, where there are four branching roads, two of which are hardly developed, with no street lights, just winding mountain paths. "Once you cross that mountain, you'll enter Yonderia's border."

Morris paused for a moment, a sparkle in his eyes. "It's a planned kidnapping."

"In Clusia, there's almost no one daring enough to kidnap Mrs. Jarrett. This might be aimed at Cherise.

"Steven, tell everyone in the Dark Web Division to split into four teams and search the four branching paths as hard as they

can."

"Cherise, Cherise," he murmured a couple of times, then sat back at the computer, fingers quickly tapping away again.

Cherise didn't bring her phone, nor did she activate the locator on the necklace she was wearing, so Morris currently couldn't track their location. 09:07 Mon, Dec 23

They could only retrieve the surveillance footage from the nearby blind spots as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, Morris' hacking skills were top-notch. While he typed away, he called out to Truman next to him, "Bring up everyone we've captured."

"Right away," Truman called out and promptly led his team to the dungeon in the basement of Ebb & Flow

However, when Truman arrived at the dungeon holding a dozen people, he was shocked to replace that everyone they had captured was foaming at the mouth and lying on the ground. Truman quickly got a doctor. "Hurry."

When the doctor came to check, he shook his head at Truman. "They're all dead."

Truman's eyes widened in shock. "No way, they are monitored by a lot of people. How did they just die?"

After saying that, he turned and went back to the first floor, looking nervously at Morris. "Mr. Chivers, everyone we caught is dead."

Morris looked up at the sound of his name, meeting Truman's eyes, while his fingers pressed the last button on his phone.

The surveillance footage showed Cherise following the business car in her vehicle, capturing the distinct red taillights of the car.

As the frame froze, Morris stood up and instructed the team sent by Arthur, "Send more people to the leftmost path at the edge of Yonderia."

The expert sent by Arthur knew who Morris was and his capabilities, so he didn't dare to delay. "Everyone, listen up, gather, and move out."

A team in uniform quickly got ready when they received the orders and moved forward in their vehicles.

Once Morris had finished issuing directives, he turned to Truman and asked, "Are all of them dead?"

Truman nodded. "The doctors couldn't figure out any specific cause of death.

"Besides, all these individuals were death row inmates."

Being dead carried significant implications, especially since they were death row inmates, confirming that this was definitely a premeditated kidnapping. Moreover, the mysterious cause of death reminded Morris of the 'insect curse' that Cherise had talked about recently.

Still, whether that was true remained unclear.

The purpose behind this was very clear. Kidnapping Mrs. Jarrett to lure Cherise away.

Morris thought, 'Who in Clusia would dare come up with such a plan and have the audacity to kidnap a significant figure's mother?"

Morris' expression turned even darker. "Steven, you stay here and check on Rita's recent whereabouts.

"Fix all the damaged surveillance wires as fast as possible and have Crow on standby for support anytime.

"I'm heading to the outskirts of Yonderia. Call me the moment you replace anything.

"Truman, take Jean home and help soothe Grandpa's nerves.

"We can't let this get out for now. Keep an eye on all major social media platforms. 09:07 Mon, Dec 23

"Make sure all the witnesses from today stay silent. Leo, it's time to head out."

"Yes," everyone replied in unison, clearly following Morris' directions.

Jean really wanted to join the search, but she understood the urgency and had to follow the plan to head home and calm Lucas's nerves.

It had been a full hour since Cherise and Mary went missing.

No one knew what their current condition was.
