Chapter 460

Dozens of planning proposals lay spread out before Morris. Renowned designers from various wedding planning companies and studios took turns presenting their ideas.

Each presentation lasted quite a while, yet Morris displayed not the slightest impatience. He listened attentively throughout.

This scene seemed to shatter the preconceived notions many head about Morris.

Leaning close to Steven, Leo whispered, "Rare sight, huh?"

Steven, engrossed in the presentations, nodded in agreement. "xactly!"

Meanwhile, after finishing her class at Betrico University, Cherise headed directly to Carson's island with Hugh.

At the dock connecting to the island, Crow had been waiting for Cherise to arrive so they could head up together. Seeing the car approach, he stood up excitedly and waved. As soon as Cherise stepped out of the car, he bounded over to her. "Why are you so excited? I saw you grinning from ear to ear from far away," Cherise asked as soon as she stepped out. Crow, his face glowing with excitement, pulled a passbook out of his pocket. "Here, boss, this is for you." Cherise looked puzzled. "Oh? For me?"

Crow nodded. "Yep. These are all my savings. You're getting married, and as your closest friend, it's my contribution to your dowry. Don't underestimate it-take a look. It's more than enough to last a long time. I wouldn't hand it over to just anyone." Cherise accepted the passbook, smiled knowingly, and glanced at it. She wasn't surprised-she knew Crow had accumulated significant savings over the years.

"That's very thoughtful of you!" Cherise said before tucking the passbook back into Crow's pocket. She started walking ahead and added, "Keep it for yourself.

"Consider it my share of the dividends over the years. Save it for your future wedding-I won't be giving you a gift then."

"Are you sure you

for us."

Smiling just as cheerfully, Crow shouted back, "Got it!" and quickly followed her. Their bond, as always, was something money could never measure.

Fifteen minutes later, Cherise and Crow sat across from Carson. On the table before them was a set of tools for divination.

"That's the gist of it. Cherise, do you get it now? And you, Crow?" Carson asked patiently.

Crow shook his head immediately. "Way too complicated for me. I can't wrap my head around it at all. Researching biology and running experiments is more my thing. As long as my boss understands, that's enough; I'll just play the supporting role. Right, boss?" Carson nodded thoughtfully and looked at Cherise. "Crow has a point. Having a reliable assistant is crucial."

Cherise, carefully completing the final line of the hexagram, looked up at Carson with a faint smile. "It's fascinating-closely

Carson nodded approvingly and replied. "Well said. You've fully grasped the essence of it. With the wedding drawing near, it's time to wrap up any unfinished tasks.

"After the ceremony, a young couple should focus on enjoying their life together. Don't let trivial matters disrupt what should be a blissful time."

Cherise understood. She carefully gathered the tools on the table and arranged them neatly before nodding slightly, exuding confidence.

In the Chivers Group's executive meeting room, the selection process for wedding planners was still underway.

Seated in a sleek office chair, Morris meticulously reviewed dozens of proposals spread out before him, mentally revisiting the presentations.

He frowned slightly, seeming more troubled than when deciding on major business projects.

Many designers could barely contain their curiosity about the outcome, but no one dared to speak up.

It was reminiscent of students who didn't understand their teacher's lecture but were too afraid to raise their hands.

After another thirty minutes of deliberation, Morris finally picked out three proposals and handed them to Steven and Leo. "These three. Have them work together to develop a unified proposal based on my requirements and specifications," he instructed before walking out of the meeting room and heading back to his office.

His mouse moved steadily across the screen, highlighting deficiencies in the documents.

Morris was so absorbed that, after a moment, a fleeting blur passed across his vision. The sensation was identical to what he'd experienced while driving the other day.

Morris paused, rubbed the bridge of his nose, and shook his head slightly. He decided he'd need to mention it to Cherise again and have her take a closer look.

Moments later, the blurriness subsided. He rested his hand on the mouse and refocused on his computer screen, convinced it was nothing to worry about.

But just minutes later, the haziness returned, accompanied this time by a faint voice echoing in his mind. "Morris... Morris... Morris..."

It was a woman's voice-one Morris found deeply unpleasant. In that instant, he froze, a realization dawning on him. The incident with Hannia from some time ago came rushing back to his mind. Struggling to keep his head clear, he quickly reached for his phone, intending to call Cherise.
