"Seriously, Sophie, you're rushing into this. Timothy might not be trustworthy. What if he's in cahoots with the enemy and they're plotting to take you out? Wouldn't this be like walking straight into a trap?" Jenna's voice wavered with concern. Sophie chuckled, a glint of determination in her eyes. "Exactly, Jenna. This will show us if Timothy's words hold any truth."

Jenna's face paled. "But what if he's lying?"

Sophie shrugged nonchalantly. "I like to take risks; it's all in fate's hands."

Hearing this, Gordon's tense expression softened, and he let out a resigned sigh, shaking his head with a faint smile. "Well, if Ms. Sophie has made her decision, we should follow her lead. We can't afford a real disaster." "Mr. Gordon, you too?" Jenna's worry deepened.

To her surprise, Colby, who had been firmly against the plan, changed his stance. "Let her go. I won't let anything happen to Sophie, no matter what."

Adler's jaw dropped. "What on earth? You guys changed your minds so fast!"

"Colby, you better think this through. If something happens to Sophie, you'll be wifeless!" Adler exclaimed.

"Enough, drop it," Jenna nudged Adler, giving him a meaningful look.

Sophie turned to Timothy. "Go ahead and send that message. Tomorrow at eight, I'll leave Burke Estate for Burke International with the share transfer agreement. Tell them to seize the moment."

Timothy frowned, puzzled by Sophie's strategy. But he reasoned that by staying close to her, he would act faster than Colby's men if needed. Sophie wouldn't slip through his fingers.

"Alright, I'll do as Ms. Sophie says." Timothy quickly sent the message through his laptop.

"Everyone needs to be up early

so let's get some rest. with Mr.

Timothy, leave your laptop

Adlen If we get a reply, we'll know

right away."

"Okay." Timothy handed his laptop to Adler.

Jenna was still skeptical but Sophie offered no further explanation and headed upstairs with Colby.

Jenna was stunned. "What's going on? Is there really no backup plan?"

Upstairs, in their room, Colby playfully tapped Sophie's head. "No more stunts like this, okay?"

"I wasn't pulling a stunt. I did give you a heads-up."

"Hooking your finger at me counts as a heads-up?" Colby raised an eyebrow.

Sophie's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Relax, I won't be in any danger this time."

Colby's voice dropped to a reassuring tone. "I know, my wife's the smartest. She won't let herself be at a disadvantage."

The next morning, Adler showed

Sophie the received reply. Wearing sunglasses and casual jeans, she addressed Timothy, "The car's ready. Let's go."

"Ms. Sophie, are you really only taking me?"

"Of course." Sophie smiled. "I promised you, the Spellman family won't get involved. If we spook the enemy and they discover your betrayal, they'll target your family. I couldn't let your loyalty bring them harm."

"Thank you, Ms. Sophie," Timothy said, genuinely moved.
