On the second floor, Harold heard someone mention Kiran's name and his brow furrowed. "Kiran?" he questioned.

"Yes, it's definitely Kiran! No mistake!" a guard confirmed, handing Harold a watch.

Harold took the watch and examined it closely. It was a one-of-a-kind piece, custom-made exclusively for the Pollard family. In their line of work, a watch like this was a clear indicator of a person's identity. This particular watch could only belong to Kiran. No one had ever dared to challenge the authority of the Pollard family's head. "I'll go check it out," Harold said, gesturing for his dozen or so bodyguards to follow him downstairs.

By the time they reached the lobby, Kiran was already standing there, exuding an aura so intense t was almost suffocating. He didn't flinch as Harold approached with his entourage.

"Mr. Angelo," Harold greeted him. "What brings you here at this hour?"

Harold remained unfazed. He stepped forward, placed the watch in Kiran's hand, and said, "Ms. Sandy found the Regent Hotel quite entertaining, so I invited her to stay as our guest. Don't worry, Mr. Angelo, she'll be returned once she's had her fill of fun. She won't suffer any discomfort while she's here."

"I'm not one for small talk," Kiran replied curtly, extending his hand. "Where's my sister?"

A cold smile crept onto Kiran's lips, and his eyes grew even colder, making the air around them feel ten degrees chillier. He took a step forward. "Do you think I believe that?"

Harold's smile faded slightly.

"I'll give you three seconds," Kiran said, raising his hand. "After three counts, if you don't hand her over, you and all your men..." he pointed at the bodyguards behind Harold, "will die." The atmosphere grew tense in an instant.

"He's right," came a voice from outside the banquet hall. Jenna walked in with a squad of Dennis family bodyguards, disrupting the delicate balance. "Sandy is an honored guest of the Dennis family. What do you think you're doing capturing her without cause? I suggest you hand her over quickly, or we'll level the Regent Hotel."

I.ne

"Well said," Harold replied with a slight smile. But Jenna, do you really think the Dennis family alone can make that happen? This is Devonport. There are people here whose words carry more weight."

"Then count the Tredgold family in!" Adler's voice boomed from outside as he entered with his own squad of Tredgold family bodyguards. "No

matter how high and mighty et

feel, Mr. Minton, reigning in a small town like Summerfield is one thing. But don't fool yourself into thinking you're the Monkey King. This Flower Fruit Mountain isn't yours to claim!"

Kiran spread his hands. "So, what now?"

"The Dennis and Tredgold families joining forces-impressive," Harold sneered. "But what if I have my own allies?"

Just then, James appeared on the second floor, leading a group of Burke International bodyguards. Standing in the center, he looked down at everyone below.

Seeing James, both Adler and Jenna clenched their teeth in frustration. James was indeed cut from the same cloth as Harold!

"In Devonport, it's not up to your two families to decide," James declared, his voice slow and deliberate. "What I, James, say goes."
