Reece glanced at the documents Sophie handed him. The information on Nichole from North Bay High School matched exactly what Reece had described before, with the only difference being the photograph attached.

"I'm sure about my memory." Handing the documents back to Sophie, Reece commented, "This mix-up could only have happened if someone swapped their photographs."

Sophie, looking at the documents in her hand, fell into deep thought. Perhaps she needed to replace a way to get in touch with the girl in the photograph.

"Ms. Sophie, why are you still concerned about Nichole's identity?"

Reece's sudden remark snapped Sophie back to reality. Only then did Sophie remember the rumors swirling around them, yet Reece didn't seem the least bit troubled by the scandal.

"Should I panic and arrange an urgent PR meeting right now?" Flipping through the documents, Sophie replied, "It's just a rumor, born out of nothing. Besides, you wanted a bit of scandal, didn't you?" Reece looked surprised for a moment, and Sophie added, "You've been so focused on your acting career since your debut that you have hardly any gossip to boost your fame. Consider this a favor from me." Hearing Sophie say this, Reece couldn't help but smile wryly. "So you think I need a scandal to become more famous."

"Isn't it so?" Sophie looked up, meeting Reece's resigned gaze.

Reece smiled, saying, "Yeah, right."

"James has promised to handle this scandal properly. Once it's all settled, you'll rise to fame without being affected by this rumor. You might even gain more fans, and perhaps by the end of the year, I'll be calling you the 'Best Actor."

Sophie smiled at Reece.

Reece smiled back, adding, "Fingers crossed, but..."

"What?"

"I heard that Burke International's media branch is pushing Corin."

Sophie's hands, which were flipping through the documents, paused abruptly.

Reece continued, "Corin's popularity is soaring, and he is gaining millions of fans. It looks like he's about to break into the A-list, becoming a pillar of Burke Entertainment." Sophie looked up at Reece, asking, "And do you think that's a good thing?"

"Not necessarily," Reece said meaningfully. "After all, it was you who sent him off to Burke International. Now, it seems like your move was like drawing trouble elsewhere." Sophie didn't reply. However, she hadn't expected Corin to rise to fame so quickly with Burke International. In just a few months, Corin was on the verge of becoming an A-lister.

The more successful Corin became, the quicker it seemed to attract trouble.

Elsewhere, Nichole glanced at her phone while at her desk.

The trending topic from noon seemed to have been pulled down by someone, suddenly losing its heat. In its place were headlines about Sophie and James, as well as a statement from Reece's studio. This time, Reece had gone straight to the police, who were now looking into the anonymous poster's identity.

Nichole was shocked by the statement from Reece's studio. She hadn't expected Reece to go directly to the police!

"Nichole! What are you doing during work hours?"

Ada walked out of her office, and Nichole quickly tucked her phone into her pocket.

Ada noticed Nichole's flustered expression and the bulge of a phone in her pocket, but her attention quickly shifted to another phone on Nichole's desk. She frowned slightly.

"Sorry, Ada, I've already finished these plans." Nichole handed the plans she was working on to Ada.

Ada took a glance and then said to Nichole, "Don't rush off after work today. There's a dinner event you'll need to attend with me."

"Me?"
