In the lively arcade, Angelo whipped out $500 to buy tokens, catching the cashier's eye. She peered at the stack of credit cards and the thick wad of cash in his wallet, then glanced at the plainclothes guy nearby.

"Here are your tokens, sir."

Handing two big baskets to Sophie, Angelo boomed, "Go wild! It's all on me today!"

"Why thank you, Mr. Pollard," Sophie said, stressing 'Mr. Pollard' with a smirk.

When they reached the fishing game, Angelo leaned in and whispered, "Are we really doing this?"

Sophie nodded, whispering back, "Absolutely. No one else here spends like you do, Mr. Pollard. If they miss this chance, they're just dumb."

"And why am I footing the bill?"

"Mr. Pollard, I didn't bring any cash."

"You..."

"Plus, how many guys bring a girl here and let her pay?" Sophie added. "They're clearly eyeing the wealthy guys. It's all part of the plan. Anyway, $500 isn't much for Mr. Pollard, right?"

Everyone knew the Pollard family was worth fifty billion, topping the overseas billionaire list.

No way Mr. Pollard would balk at $500.

Angelo sighed. He wasn't Kiran! He'd been living off his family's wealth for over twenty years. The most he ever earned was the fifty million Sophie gave him, which was confiscated when he got back overseas. The money in his wallet was begged from his penny-pinching little sister!

He decided to ask James for reimbursement later. Sophie wasn't his ex-wife. She was his boss! Since when did employees pay for their bosses?

Soon, Sophie and Angelo were burning through their tokens, drawing a crowd. A plainclothes man sidled up to them.

Watching Angelo fail again to catch the big fish, he sighed, "Ah, missed again!"

Annoyed, Angelo looked up, "If you're so good, why don't you try?"

"These games are boring. I've got something much more fun. Wanna try it with your girlfriend?"

Angelo scoffed, "Girlfriend? What are you talking about..."

"Sure, I'm bored with this anyway. What's this more fun machine?" Sophie cut him off before he could finish, "Sweetie, doesn't it sound fun?"

Angelo wanted to clarify their relationship but froze when he saw Sophie's threatening glare.

It was the same look James gave him when he didn't study!

Sheepishly, he said, "If you say so... it must be fun."

"Let's go then."

Sophie stood up, taking the lead.

She'd been watching the people eyeing Angelo, getting a good sense of the arcade staff. They were in plain clothes, blending in as customers to pick their targets. Anyone spending over $400 would likely be led to a back room for their so-called 'more fun machine'.
