The two of them were kind of confused as they were led to a guest room on the third floor.

"Hang tight, the room will be ready in just a moment," Jenna said, bustling around with a happy energy.

Sandy, still in her pajamas, glanced at Angelo next to her and asked, "Bro, are we being held hostage or something?"

"You're asking me?" Angelo replied, looking over at Jenna and Adler, who were busily preparing the room. After a moment's thought, he said, "I don't think so. They seem pretty friendly to me."

Downstairs, Sophie turned to Colby with a troubled expression and asked, "Do you think the Pollard family is behind the K Corporation?"

"Whether the Pollard family is involved, I'm not sure, but Kiran and Sandy definitely aren't," Colby replied, handing Sophie a peeled orange segment. Sophie made a face before eating it, saying, "It's just weird, the Pollard family's heir showing up in Devonport right now. And his tone of voice earlier compared to now-it's like he's a completely different person."

"Don't overthink it. They're here with us, and with Adler and Jenna keeping an eye on them, we'll know their every move."

"I hope so..."

Meanwhile, at the Pollard family villa in Devonport, James arrived and called Angelo. After a few rings, Angelo picked up.

Before James could say anything, Angelo deliberately began, "Hey! Yeah, it's me. I've been invited to stay at the Costello family's Burke Estate. Yeah! I might not be able to come back for a while, so if you need me, we'll have to reschedule. I'll get in touch when I can." After speaking, Angelo glanced around and added, "I've got some stuff to handle here, so I'll talk to you later," and quickly hung up.

Listening to the dial tone, James stood at the Pollard family's entrance, frowning. Sophie and Colby invited Angelo to stay at the Burke Estate?

Just then, several cars pulled up outside the villa. Colt got out of one of the cars, rushed to James, and said, "Mr. Burke, we finally found you!" James gave Colt a glance and said, "I believe I already dismissed you."

Colt lowered his head and said, "Bea asked me to stay by your side and urge you to return to take charge."

With James not visiting the company in person and only attending meetings online these days, some issues at Burke International were inevitable.

James asked, "Is Burke International running smoothly?"

"Smoothly, but..."

"If it's running smoothly, you can go."

As James began to leave, Colt called out, "Mrs. Burke has passed away tragically. Bea hopes you will return to oversee the funeral! Your absence would greatly impact Burke International!" Hearing this, James's face remained expressionless as he said, "I seem to have forgotten about that."

"Mr. Burke..."

James spoke calmly, "Nichole and I were married a second time. Hosting a funeral for her seems rather unfitting. Handle it as you see fit. There's no need for media coverage. It's better to keep it quiet." "But..."

"There's no need to bury her in the family crypt either. In a few days, I'll finalize our divorce. She's no longer part of the Burke family."
