"Evelyn!" he bellowed like a wild beast shedding its skin.

I walked up to him as soon as he rose from his seat.

"How dare you show your face here? Don't you have any shame or conscience? Do you have any idea how much damage you've caused to the company?"

His anger intensified when he noticed me standing calmly in front of him as if nothing had happened.

"How could you have the nerve to do something so disgraceful? Now that you've created such a huge mess, what the hell are you going to do about it?"

His eyes blazed with anger as he glared at me as if he was about to hold me accountable for the botched contracts

My words threw Jack for a loop. He couldn't understand why I was looking down at him with such a scomtul gaze.

Ivy, who loved to stir the pot, interjected with a frown, "Evelyn, honey, don't you think it's about time you started being a little less of a burden to your poor father?

She pretended to be the voice of reason, but in reality, she was cornering me and preparing to criticize me from her moral high ground..
