Rise of the Queen
Chapter 11

Alexa ran as far as she could, she was out of breath, her feet hurt, "Run Alex, you've run 50 laps, remember? Yes, run, run for your life," she told herself as she continued to run.

Suddenly the space around her changed, she was now inside a forest, "What the hell? How did I end up here?" She looked around in a panic, "What the hell is going on?" She scratched her hair. "Why me?"Argh!" She shouted, stamping her feet.

"But then I deserve this, don't I? Tch," She clicked her tongue, "Whose plan was it to escape from the safe house? Mine, of course. Now face it." She hit her head on the tree.

"I'll give you some credit." She heard a male voice, "Who's that?" She shouted as she looked around for the source of the voice.

"You wanted to have a talk there? Seriously? Didn't anyone tell you? Vampires don't talk, they bite," The voice warned her.

Just then someone jumped from the tree, landing on his feet he raised his head to look at her.

"Now, who the hell are you?" She stepped back.

"Tch, tch," he clicked his tongue as he shook his head, "If you want to stay safe, follow me," He told her as he turned around, gesturing to her, he walked ahead.

"And why should I trust you?" She asked him as she remained firm in her place.

He stopped at her question and turned around to face her, "You don't have a choice," He scoffed, he turned back and resumed his walk, "Your life, your decision, have fun dying," He lifted his hand waving at her. "Hmm..." She was in a dilemma, she looked around, replaceing no where to go, "Argh! Whatever!" She shook her head, "Wait!" She shouted as she ran after him.

She followed him, still keeping a safe distance from him, she looked around her eyes searching for anything.

"What made you invite trouble?" He asked, breaking the silence.

"Huh?" She raised her brows.

"I mean why would you plan to escape your safe house?" He asked her.

"You heard me earlier?" She lowered her gaze.

"Yup, I have ears," He scoffed.

"I..." She hesitated, closing her eyes she heaved a deep sigh, "I didn't know whom to trust... All of my friends, they had been lying to me." She told him.

"Are you talking about Lia, Kevin, Tyler? Did their identity shock you to the point you don't trust them anymore?"

"You know them?" She asked.

"The fact that I'm here to help you does mean I know them right? You really have no sense of danger, running away from the safe house, following a stranger," he shook his head in disappointment.

She halted in her track.

"Don't worry, I'm no danger," he told her, she resumed her steps, "though I am with the Vampires," he paused, Alexa gulped, he then burst out in laughter as he heard her hesitant steps behind him, "I know your friends, in fact, I'm their secret messenger, I do live with the enemies, only to pass on the information to The Alpha King. This time, I failed as they got ahead without giving a wind about it and you ended up here." He clicked his tongue, "Any way where did you plan to go after escaping?"

"I know it was stupid of me, let's just say a momentary lapse of judgment?" She shrugged.

"that almost cost you your life." He laughed.

"Hey, I wanted to rectify it, I was even going back to them but I just ended up being in an empty shopping mall, when I turned around a few cloaked people were after me, and then I ended up inside this forest." She fumbled with her fingers, "Where did all the people from the mall disappear all of a sudden?" She asked.

"They didn't. You ended up in another dimension." He replied.

"That's even possible?" She was astonished.

"You know it is. You were there."

"Wah! All my life I've been mocking supernatural things, now it's all coming back to bite me. I don't even watch supernatural movies, you know." She sighed.

"Bad move, you should've watched it, no problem, if you make it alive out of here, you can rectify your mistake, even more now that your life is a part of one," he smiled with amusement.

She gulped.

"Anyway, you put us in trouble because of your momentary lapse of judgment. Reagan must be pissed off, he is surely giving them a hard time, not that I blame him, your friends, they were careless." He shook his head.

"By the way, why are we going deeper into the woods? My friends are back at the mall, shouldn't we go there?" Alexa turned back, they had come far too inside.

"The others will reach us before we reach your friends, I'm going to open a portal here and send you out, hopefully Reagan replaces you first," The guy nodded to himself.

"Sending me out? Won't that get you in trouble? I mean... with the Vampires..."

"They won't know it's me. They'll think it's you."

"But I don't have powers like this.... in fact, I don't have any."

"Aren't you the Queen?"

"Well that's what everyone says but I doubt. I don't have any powers."

"You know that, I know that, but they don't. Advantage." He smiled as he turned to her. "Sure." She nodded.

After doing some hand gestures in the air, he turned to her, "Come, it's done." He said.

"Aren't we at the same place? I don't see any difference." She shrugged.

"Forget it," He clicked his tongue, "Anyway I've done my part, he must've sensed your presence by now, your friends must be on their way here, so this is where we part," He lifted his hand and waved at her. "You're going?... Can't you stay until they get here?" Alexa suggested.

"Don't worry, I'll be around, I'll have my eyes on you." He told her, "Now then, bye," Saying that he disappeared into thin air.

"Whoa! he literally just disappeared?" She waved her hands in the air.

"Are you kidding me?" He reappeared right in front of her.

"Whoa!" She stepped back startled by his skill.

"I'm surprised to see you surprised. You didn't see me move? Like not at all?" He frowned.

"Didn't you just appear out of nowhere?"

"I'm risking my life for you? Man, I can see we're in deep trouble." He shook his head in disappointment, "Anyway, I can't hang around you anymore, bye." He disappeared again.

"In the end, I'm just trouble, huh?" She smiled bitterly, "Obviously, who asked you to try to run away?" She rolled her eyes as she heaved staring at the sky.

After walking for a few minutes, she stopped to rest, she heard some rustle and hoping to see her friends she turned with a wide smile, "Guys?"

Her smile vanished when she noticed a group of werewolves making their way to her, she saw her friend's wolf version before but she didn't recognise anyone in front of her.

"We finally met, my Queen," One of them made its way to her, his left eye was closed with a scar over the lids, he had a large scar across his face, his green piercing eyes narrowed at her as he stopped a few inches away from her. "Did the Alpha King send you here?" She questioned assuming that to be the case.

"I am the Alpha King," He growled.

"I haven't seen his wolf form but I do recognize his voice," She frowned, "and you're not him" She shook her head.

"Run, Alex," She then heard him.

"This is his voice," She muttered.

The wolves looked at her with a weird look on their face, "You didn't hear him?" She asked them.

The said Alpha King number 2 narrowed his green eye, "ALEX!" She heard her Alpha king shout.

"Again?" She raised her brows at them, "No?" She smiled awkwardly, "nevermind then," She slowly took her steps back. "Run!"

"Okay." She then made a dash without turning back.

"After her," The Alpha number two shouted.

"Am I the only one who can hear you?" She asked him as she made a run through the woods, "Just run!" He replied. "You better have a good explanation for this," She shook her head and concentrated back on her path.

'I'm on my way to you, just be safe until then,' She heard him inside her head.

After running a few meters she stopped by a tree and leaned in, "Damn, I'm out of breath!"

She relaxed for a few seconds when she heard the creepy voice again, "You can't run away from me, my Queen."

She gulped as she looked ahead, without looking back she tried to run but was thrown off across the ground, "Oww!" She winced in pain as she slowly picked herself up, when she got up on her feet and turned around, he was right there in front of her.

"I'm not going to harm you if you comply." The Alpha king number two told her.

"What do you want?" She asked him as she stumbled back, her back hit against the huge tree.

"I'm here to claim back what's mine." He answered as he stepped forward, "You," He added.

"Excuse me?" She tilted her head in confusion.

Suddenly the painful groan of a wolf got their attention, shifting her gaze, she saw a few men in front, throttling the wolves by their neck and one of the wolves crashed right above her head, she quickly moved out just before the wolf fell on the ground.

She gulped as she witnessed their fangs descending.

"Back off, she's mine." The Alpha King number two growled shielding her from them.

"Nobody cares." They scoffed as they stepped forward.

The wolves quickly lined in front of her, shielding them from the vampires, Taking the opportunity she made a run from there.

After running away, she stopped to catch her breath, "No, Alex. Run, they can reach you within seconds, just run." She told herself and ran again but two vampires stood in front of her blocking her path.

"Oh boy." She muttered. "Aren't you here yet?” She called out to him but didn't get any response.
