Salute To The General -
Chapter 1881
Chapter 1881
Yosef's eyes flashed with equal parts of regret and fear. I should have called upon more men! Maybe I should have brought the Demon Troopers, too! Unfortunately, there was no room left for past regrets.
"Nathan, you're no longer the General of the North!" Yosef spat bitterly. "You'd better watch your actions or-"
"Or what?" Nathan asked.
"Or the Davier family will make you pay!" Yosef snarled like a cornered wild beast.
"We won't stop with just your death. Your wife, daughter, and every single one of your friends will all share your demise!"
"It seems that I have to beat some sense into you," Nathan replied coolly. He remained unruffled by Yosef's threat.
What?
Yosef's pupils dilated in sheer panic and his mouth hung open, but before he could say anything, Nathan's fist had already swung towards him. Bang Bang, bang, bang...
Nathan's fists hit Yosef squarely in the face. Each blow pummeled Yosef into a mangled mess of blood.
After a few more punches, the blazing anger in Nathan's heart was gradually smothered as his fury diminished.
He was prepared to deliver a final killing blow to
the b*stard.
"Nathan," Hansel stepped forward to put a halt to Nathan's action upon seeing the murderous flare of determination on the latter's face. "That's enough. Even if he gets treatment, Yosef will remain crippled for life from these grave injuries."
If it had been any other person, Nathan would have brushed him off. But it was Hansel, so he listened obediently.
Nathan dismissed his initial idea of killing Yosef and loosened his grip on Yosef's collar. Without the support, Yosef pitched forward lifelessly and crashed to the ground.
"Bring this b*stard back and inform Mr. Davier not to disturb me anymore," Nathan ordered Yosef's underlings, many of whom had broken limbs upon facing Nathan's wrath. "If he does not heed my warnings, I will not hesitate to crush the entire Davier family myself.”
He would crush the Davier family! Both Camilla and Hansel were taken aback by Nathan's threat. Even the various customers in the restaurant were struck with disbelief when they heard Nathan's statement.
Meanwhile, all of the underlings of the Davier family were utterly shocked.
Clifford was an important member of the cab and the Davier family was prominent in Eurasia.
Nathan's position, the General of the North, was stripped away by none other than Clifford himself. Now that Nathan had lost his position, how could he threaten the Davier family so recklessly? Even the underlings of the Davier family thought that Nathan had gone mad.
But they were all too terrified to voice their thoughts. Instead, they lifted the barely breathing Yosef and fled the scene as quick as they came. Once Yosef's men left, the Wind's owner came forward.
Promptly, the owner instructed his employees to clean up the mess. He then apologized profusely to Hansel for the rude intrusion and reassured other guests to continue their meals as the incident was over.
The earlier joyous atmosphere vanished into thin air after Yosef's appearance. Hansel had originally planned to bid Nathan a hearty farewell. Now, he had lost all the mood.
He sighed heavily as he took in Nathan's calmness. "Nathan, you still haven't changed; you are as ruthless as ever. Your grudge with Clifford runs deep. To avoid creating new problems, you should learn to step back sometimes. He is an influential member of the cab that even Garrett has to listen to his demands! It will bring you no good if you continue to act so stubbornly."
"Mr. Windsor, my grudge with Clifford is indeed bottomless. Even if I turn a blind eye toward his actions, I'm afraid that the Davier family will not let me go that easily,” Nathan replied with a smile.
"We will remain sworn enemies to our deaths. Why should I bend to his will? My attitudes toward the Davier family and Xyperia are alike. Giving in to them is useless and cowardly. If they refuse to listen to med will simply retaliate until they obey me."
Hansel's eyes widened; whatever he was about to say died in his throat.
Is Nathan really too domineering? Or perhaps Nathan has lost confidence ever since his position was taken away?
In the end, Hansel merely let out a heavy sigh. "Youngsters these days have too much energy," Hansel said helplessly to Camilla.
On the other hand, Camilla thought that the Davier family was increasingly acting out of hand, and their actions had finally pushed Nathan to the limits of his patience.
"As you said, are they still youngsters if they do not act this way?" she retorted jokingly.
Hansel and Nathan were surprised by her bold words, which then made them burst into a round of laughter.
Hansel raised his glass. "Nathan, I've
taken up many disciples under my wing in the past. But out of all of them, you'remain my sole favorite. Since you are about to lead the North Army against Xyperia, bwish you a swift victory."

Nathan lifted up his own glass in response. "Thank you, Mr. Windsor," he said solemnly.
