Salute To The General
Chapter 1926

Chapter 1926

The award ceremony began at twelve noon sharp, and Garrett presented several medals to the North Army soldiers to commend them for their bravery and hard work.

After the ceremony, the Cab and the President officially approved Nathan's title as the Chief Military Governor, giving him the authority over all military districts in Eurasia, excluding the Capital Garrison.

That night, they had a huge banquet in the Cab to celebrate the North Army's achievements, with a surprise appearance by the commanders-in- chief of each military district.

Nathan kept his phoenix military coat and Leviathan mask on the whole time, and people began to speculate about his true identity.

After the banquet, Garrett summoned Nathan to his study room in the White House for a private chat. There was no one else in the room except for the two of them.

Garrett lounged in his chair and smiled at Nathan. "You didn't let me down, Nathan. That was the best battle Eurasia has seen in years, and the Cab no longer has any reason to belittle you."

"It's all thanks to you and your trust, Mr. President," Nathan said.

Garrett chuckled. "Alright, alright, you're now in charge of every soldier in Eurasia, so you'd better buckle up and show me what you're made of!" "Yes, Mr. President!" Nathan answered confidently.

Garrett nodded. "Now that you're the supervisor of all the commanders, what are you planning to do to win their trust?"

"We have Elijah Lowe as the commander-in-chief of the East, Zach Hill for the South, Lucas Ziegler for the West and Fang as the temporary commander for the North," Nathan said. "They each have their own talents and are all excellent leaders. However, we may need some time to bring everyone together and work on the synergy between the troops of each region."

“Yeah, that's pretty important,” Garrett said, nodding slowly in agreement. “However, that might come off as an attempt to challenge their power, which probably wouldn't end well. You should be careful and take it slow."

"Yes, Mr. President," Nathan said. "I'm planning to stay put for the next two months to give them some time to adjust before merging the different districts."

"Very good," Garrett said.

Meanwhile, back at the Davier family residence, Clifford was on the phone with his trusted aide Quent.

"Apologies, Mr. Davier, but I have yet

"Nathan is gone?" Clifford said, frowning.

"That's right, Mr. Davier," Quent said, nodding. "No one saw him after his deployment."

“Is he on the casualty list? How about the awardee list?" Clifford asked.

"I've checked those too, but his

Davier?"

Clifford frowned for just a second before a smirk appeared on his face. "I don't think so. He probably knows that his chances of restoring his former status were slim, and that I'll seek him out to take revenge sooner or tater. Maybe he chose to hide somewhere to escape my wrath."

"The North Army seems to have forgotten about him. It's like he never existed," Quent said.

Clifford scoffed. "He was once part of them, and they won't betray him that easily."

"So what should we do now, Mr. Davier?" Quent asked.

"He won't be able to hide from us forever,"

Clifford snickered. "Doesn't he have a wife and a

"Yes, Mr. Davier!" Quent answered.
