Salute To The General -
Chapter 1947
Chapter 1947
Channing Airport.
Scores of men in smart suits and shiny shoes appeared at the airport entrance.
"Quickly!"
"Hurry up!"
The bystanders stood in awe as the smartly dressed and well-trained men in suits spread a long red carpet out along the entrance.
They then stood on either side of the carpet to await their guest of honor.
The other travelers stood back, not daring to approach.
At this instant, a score of luxury cars filled up the airport compound. In the lead was a vintage Rolls-Royce. It boasted a registration plate of SA88888.
The onlookers cheered.
"Isn't that Aron Lauf, the richest man in Alberesque?"
"Yes, it really is him!"
"Who is he waiting for here?"
The onlookers gossiped. Aron exited his car, hand grasping on a walking cane of white gold.
His men stood along the red carpet, staring intently at the inside of the airport, as though impatient for someone of great importance to arrive.
All of a sudden, a tall and pale young man with a handsome face strode out. He had a large entourage behind him.
Not only did he give off a regal air, but his features were striking and commanded obedience.
His princely aura was accentuated by the way he looked around in disdain.
Who is this?
The onlookers started asking one another about the identity of this regal-looking stranger.
Aron's eyes flashed. He stepped forward to welcome Sherman. Despite the vast gap in his seniority, Aron sank into a low bow before this young man. "Mr. Goldstein, Kam Aron Lauf, at your service.
"I have received word from Mr. Windsor a few days before that you will be coming down to the South. I've been waiting for a couple of days, I can't believe you're actually here."
Sherman answered coldly. "Are you complaining about the fact that I kept you waiting?"
Aron's smile froze on his face.

Realizing his mistake, he quickly said, "Mr. Goldstein, please do not misunderstand. All I meant is that I'm glad you're finally here."
"If it weren't for your father back in the day, I would not be where I am today. He was my savior and my mentor. How could I treat his son with such disrespect?"
"I'm glad we straightened it out," Sherman replied coldly.
"I'm here in Channing on business. I'm guessing you know what business that is."
"Y-yes, Mr. Goldstein," Aron nodded jerkily. "I am aware.
"There is a villa of mine facing the sea. It is called Blueside Villa."
"I have given orders for it to be cleaned. Please stay there for as long as you like for the time being; we can discuss a long-term solution later."
Sherman entered the car. "What long-term solution? I just need to collect Nathan's head."
"Send word to Nathan and his wife," Sherman ordered. "Tell them to meet me at Blueside Villa before the sun sets today."
"If Nathan and Penny come to me obediently, perhaps I can spare Penny's life." "But if they fail to show up, I will get angry. Things might go very differently then."
Nathan will not agree to this, Aron thought to himself. He is proud and stubborn.
Sherman's cold stare made it clear that he will not tolerate any objection.
Mr. Goldstein's son is rather tyrannical. Forget it, we'll do it his way. If not he might take it out on me.
