Salute To The General
Chapter 1957

Chapter 1957

Rumble!

Moments later, thunder sounded from the heavily clouded dark sky as rain began to pour.

To take shelter from the rain, people on the streets started running into nearby shops or under the eaves of houses.

A dying figure crawled along the entrance of the Smith family's house in the middle of the rain.

His legs were broken and his trouser legs were drenched in blood as he fell to the muddy ground looking utterly miserable.

No one would believe that this pathetic and pitiful fellow was Sherman Goldstein, son of the famous Mighty Rax.

Ever since he was born, Sherman had never suffered like this!

Not only were his legs broken, he was also tossed in front of the Smith family's house to repent for his actions while being exposed to the harsh weather.

Under such circumstances, he couldn't help but pass out several times. However, every time he did that, a military doctor would instantly appear and give him two injections.

The first dose was the military combat injection, which was used during emergencies by soldiers who are wounded on the battlefield.

When used, not only would it numb the painful sensation of a wound to a great extent, it could also provide a nerve stimulant effect, allowing injured soldiers to remain in combat for as long as needed.

The other dose was a nutrient injection.

When injected, it would maintain the basic nutrients that a human body needed to survive.

With those two injections being administered, Sherman would be punished insufferably instead of dying.

At this point, he was almost dead and crawling on the ground. If hate could kill, Nathan would have been killed a dozen or more times.

Sherman thought with resentment in his heart. Nathan, just wait. I will definitely take revenge and pay you back for what you have done to me today, a hundred times over.

News about Sherman's tragic encounter quickly traveled to Brimmopolis.

The decor was seemingly modest but in fact very luxurious, even the most basic furniture in the study room was made of scented rosewood. Mighty Rax was practicing his poetry by admiring Shakespeare's work.

When he was halfway through it, Cruel Blade from the Mighty Twelve Warlords entered and said with his head bowed down, "Sir, something has happened."

Mighty Rax didn't stop for a moment, nor did he lift his head. His face continued to remain calm as he admired the poems. Then he simply inquired, "What's wrong?".

Cruel Blade briefly informed Mighty Rax about what had happened to Sherman.

After hearing that, Rax paused for a moment as his face darkened.

Until he was done with Shakespeare, he did not utter a word. Then he put it aside and exclaimed with an expressionless look, "Talents are appearing constantly! It seems

long, and I have underestimated Nathan, the leader of this new generation."

Cruel Blade spoke softly, "Pathol, Maha, Liber and Morgoth are not weaklings; they are all experts who have accompanied you throughout your north and south conquests. didn't expect that they could fail to protect Mr. Sherman given the strength of the four of them. This is my fault, I should have sent more elite fighters to go with Mr. Sherman on his expedition to the South."

Rax spoke indifferently, “Instead of blaming yourself, think about how to remedy the

situation."

Cruel Blade instantly replied, "I'll personally select a group of elite fighters and lead the remaining seven warlords to kill Nathan and save Mr. Sherman at Channing."

Rax shook his head and said, "Since Nathan was able to kill Pathol and the other three, I fear that even if you lead the remaining seven warlords there, you will still be no match for Nathan."

Upon hearing that, Cruel Blade wasn't willing to give. Just when he was about to reply, Rax had already interrupted, "In order to defeat Nathan, we need to replace someone extraordinary."

After saying that, he began to think about who he should send to Channing to tidy up the mess, save his son, and kill Nathan.

At that moment, he caught the almost inaudible sound of footsteps coming from the courtyard a few dozen meters away from the door.

In fact, he even tried to guess the visitor's identity by listening to the footsteps.

His mouth gently curled in a smile

as he uttered with a sigh of relief, “I was just talking about who would l the best candidate to go to

Channing and clean up this molno

but to my surprise, the right person has arrived."
