Salute To The General -
Chapter 1972
Chapter 1972
"Before I reached the South, I made an agreement with the leader. He promised that I wield the authority to travel through the South as I pleased," Rax said lowly. "I'm afraid this is more complicated than it appears to be."
"Mr. Goldstein, are you saying that Nathan has ordered his men to block our boats? Is he trying to force our boats in a certain formation?" Cruel Blade asked curiously.
"I suspect that he's already here," Rax laughed coldly.
Cruel Blade burst out in uncontrollable laughter when he heard Rax's words. "Master, Nathan is no longer the General of the North. All he has left are empty titles. Now that you are here to seek revenge with such a mighty force of over ten thousand soldiers, it's shocking enough that he did not flee in fear. I can't believe he's trying to block us!"
"Master, I think you might be overestimating Nathan."
When Cruel Blade finished laughing, a loud yell echoed from the shore. "This is a warning towards the Goldstein family! Our General is here to murder your leader - Rax!"
Cruel Blade's smile disappeared when he heard the shouting, and his eyes widened in shock. "Nathan, that b*stard, he's here to stop us!" He said in a hushed whisper.
"Isn't that good? He's here to meet his death," Rax laughed and remained unruffled by the threat. "Let's go out and greet him."
When he finished speaking, Rax strode to the ship's deck confidently.
"Mr. Goldstein!" The group of soldiers on the deck flocked towards Rax and snapped to attention.
All of the boat's decks were packed with soldiers as they floated on the huge river.
Rax shifted his gaze to the shore and saw a wide, overgrown field.
There were countless cars across the sprawling plains, and a large group of men gathered together. He estimated that their numbers were no less than three thousand.
“I'm shocked that Nathan managed to replace so many helpers,” Rax laughed cruelly.
Under the faint illumination of the moonlight, Cruel Blade glanced at the horses and men gathered at the riverbank. "Nathan must have been an excellent general. Even though he has lost most of his power, he still managed to gather a group of people to assist him in such a short time."
"He must have wasted all of his efforts to gather these three thousand men."
"We have over ten thousand men on our side.
How does Nathan plan to stop us with just three thousand soldiers?" Rax laughed mockingly. "Order everyone to get ashore."
"Understood!" Cruel Blade responded.
Upon the command, the Goldstein troops began to set off uniformly towards the shore.
Back on the shore, the Felidae Battalion remained motionless. They made no move to halt the Goldstein troops from advancing to dry land.
Not long after they reached the shore, the Goldstein troops fanned out across the shore. It was obvious that they had heavily outnumbered the Felidae Battalion.
Rax looked at the mighty Goldstein
Army behind him and turned to face Nathan's subordinates. "Nathan, since you are aware of the reason for my arrival, why don't you face your death as quick as possible?" He asked darkly.
Although Rax's tone was not loud, it carried across the field clearly. Everyone could hear his voice.
After he finished speaking, he saw Nathan emerge alongside Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight.
Nathan had a faint smile on his lips as he met Rax's gaze humorously. "The Goldstein family must not fear death, Rax. You lot are the most foolish people I've met. Anyway, I'll give you one more chance to surrender before this turns ugly.
"Order the Goldstein family and troops to retreat. For the next thirty years, not a single member of the Goldstein family should be involved in business or politics. Take my mercy as an opportunity to reflect and correct your values.
"This will be the Goldstein family's only chance of survival."
Rax sneered angrily, "How dare you utter such nonsense when you are at death's door? You have no right to demand our retreat!
"Tonight, you will pay the price of your reckless words and actions. You and your loved ones will die under my hand."
"It seems that you do not appreciate my generous offer,” Nathan replied in an icy tone. "Since you chose to remain stubborn, there is nothing more | have to say. Let's fight!"
