Salute To The General
Chapter 1984

Chapter 1984

While Violet was still taken aback by Nathan, Penny walked over.

She crouched down in front of her daughter and placed her hands on the little girl's arms. In a comforting tone, she asked, "Queenie, could you tell us what happened earlier? Didn't Papa tell you how to stand up against bullies yesterday? You should be comparing grades instead of getting yourself into more trouble. Why did you hit your classmate?"

With teary eyes, Queenie explained, "Marc bullies me every day. He ridicules me for being poor and makes jokes about Papa being a security guard and Mama being a factory worker."

Nathan chided, "If that's the case, you should report it to your teachers instead of resorting to

fists!"

"I did what you told me to, Papa. I told him that the school is no place for comparing wealth as we should look at our grades instead. However, Marc said that grades could not change the fact that I'm poor. He also mocked Papa and said that, in no way, you'd be able to send me to a school like Tulip Elementary because of the high school fees. Thus, he pointed out that Mama must have a sugar daddy - that's where we get the money from. Hence, I was so angry that I hit him."

When Nathan and Penny heard her explanation, they were shocked and livid.

Marc had gone too far. Not only did he picked on Queenie, but he also mocked her parents, inciting her to hit him.

Furthermore, Nathan made sure to provide a holistic education for his daughter. Besides studies, she also meddled with music, art, and even basic self-defense classes.

Therefore, she could give a mean punch to others although she was just a girl.

Coldly, Nathan turned to Violet and spat, "My daughter was wrong to hit your son. However, it only happened because your son picked on my daughter first. Looking at this matter, I think we can resolve it if we make our children apologize to each other and promise to change. What do you think about that?"

Violet snapped out from her daze.

She widened her eyes and shrieked, "What did you say? Your daughter punched my boy. Why should he apologize or change in any way? Was he at fault?"

Penny raised her brows and retorted, "Madam, your son was crude and rude. Not only did he insult my daughter, but he also insulted my husband and me. Isn't he at fault for that?"

Startled, Violet scrutinized Penny from head to toe.

Penny was pretty, which made Violet jealous for some reason.

After all, Violet's husband liked to flirt with other younger women. Hence, whenever she would often despise them, thinking that they were all home- wreckers with sugar daddies.

Giving Penny a cold hard look, Violet clicked her tongue, "Tsk-tsk, did you think my son insulted you? I heard that you are poor, and your husband is only a security guard. Aren't you a factory worker? If that's so, then why do you even bother dressing up? Besides, where do you get the money to send your child to Tulip Elementary? Perhaps my son was right to say that you have a sugar daddy. Given so, I don't think my son was falsifying anything. Why should he apologize then?"

Following that, her expression toughened, and she threatened, "Regardless, your daughter hit my son first. Now, I want your whole family to apologize and pay for his medical fees."

Nathan snorted, "You want us to apologize and pay for his medical fees?"

Violet obnoxiously nodded in response.

"Yes! I want your family to go to the school field and kneel as an apology. In addition, all of you should wear a sign around your necks that read your family is at fault, and you will not bully Marc again."

Laughing sarcastically, Nathan challenged the woman, "What if I say that we won't do it?"

Hearing that, Violet proudly announced, "My husband, Jaeden, is the head of the Ministry of Education. With one phone call, I can expel your daughter from school and destroy her education path."

"Hah!" Nathan scoffed. "Jaeden, you say? You don't have to call him; I'll do it myself."

With that, Nathan pulled out his phone in front of everyone and dialed a number.

However, he was not calling Jaeden.

He called Yaacob instead, the

Director of the Ministry of Education

"Hi, Yaacob, is there a Jaeden in your department? You have te minutes to bring him to Tulip Elementary to meet me."

Then, he ended the call.

Meanwhile, Violet stared at him in horror.

Did he called Director Donnovan? Is he pulling a trick on us?

Everyone else in the room was taken aback.

Getting over the initial shock, Violet chuckled.

“Okay, okay... Drop the act. Everyone knows you're lying!"
